They never have anything in stock for exotic pets. No matter what day you go in on it's always "our shipment comes in tomorrow."

After a short battle with cancer, we put our sweet girl Tuesday to sleep at VEG ER. They are…read morepartnered with Abbey Glen so we made our final rest decisions at the vet and was followed up with an email a day or so later to review our choices. Everything was clear and she was cremated within 24 hours of passing. Once she was ready to be shipped to us we received notification via email. Here is where things get sticky. The day she was supposed to be delivered was my first day back at work. My husband was home ready and waiting. I was refreshing the USPS tracking like a mad person while at work, wanting to ensure we got her in our hands. It was an emotional time and it still is. After refreshing the tracking again, it said return to sender, address unknown. I was so upset and nervous our package would be lost and we would never have her. I called the Abbey Glen office and spoke to a wonderful woman whose name I cannot remember. She was so nice and understanding and even said to me "we will be sure to get your baby home." She actually ended up calling someone she knew at the post office, who knew the manager of the post office where the package was coming from. Since it was so early in the morning, they were able to intercept the package and hold it at the post office so we could pick it up. I am so grateful to this woman for that. Everything was packaged with care, there was bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Her actual ashes were placed inside a velvet pouch and came with her urn, clay paw print with her name, nose print, as well as a certificate of the day she was cremated. I felt like everything was done with care it felt good knowing she was well taken care of. This was such an emotional experience for us and I feel such comfort in knowing that this final part of Tuesday's life was treated with such honor and respect.

This place runs a service called Eternal Memories, they do pet cremations. They want to sell you additional practices for getting back the ashes of your pet. Starting at $312 up to over $600!! It's now been 3 days and between my wife and I it's been a nightmare of calls, emails etc. from this place. TOTAL MONEY GRAB, run and warn the others!!

Newton Animal Hospital saved my baby angel's life, and I will forever be grateful…read more From the moment we walked in during one of the hardest and scariest times of our lives, the compassion, understanding, and professionalism shown by Newton Animal Hospital was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Dr. Barron and the entire staff were absolutely amazing. They treated my baby not just as a patient, but as family. They listened, explained everything clearly, showed genuine care, and were willing to work with us during an incredibly emotional and stressful situation. Their kindness, patience, and empathy meant the world to us. You can truly tell that this team loves what they do and deeply cares about the animals and families they serve. In a moment where we felt helpless and afraid, they gave us hope--and they saved my baby angel's life. Thank you, Dr. Barron and staff, for your dedication, compassion, and for going above and beyond when it mattered most. I will never forget what you did for us. I highly recommend Newton Animal Hospital to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care with a heart.

was inclined to write this review after my recent experience. i have been a dog mom going on 12…read moreyears, and thank god this was my first emergency experience with my daughter's dog, my "gwanson." he had been (tmi) having diarrhea with what i believed was blood in it, and he wasn't eating or drinking. since he only weighs 8 lbs., i was extremely worried. i searched for a local animal hospital one evening and was told to bring him here. a friend immediately warned me that they were "money-hungry", but because i was so concerned about my dog, i wanted him to be checked out. the staff was pleasant enough. however, they proceeded to muzzle my dog. i had warned them that he can snap, but he was weak & wasn't showing any signs of aggression. what i realized afterward was that they wanted to take him away from me while i decided what services i wanted to approve. basically holding my dog hostage. they presented me with a low-end & high-end estimate for his care. the high estimate was approximately $1,800, including a $200 emergency exam fee just for walking through the door. the low estimate was still around $1,000 for bloodwork, a fecal test, & other basic diagnostics. i was shocked. the next morning, i called vetco in kinnelon, a full-service veterinary hospital located inside petco. the woman i spoke with was wonderful and told me that bloodwork would cost around $200, not nearly $2,000. the only difference is that vetco is not a 24-hour emergency hospital like newton. thankfully, my dog was stable enough to wait until the next day to be seen. in my opinion, these prices take advantage of worried pet parents who feel they have no other choice during an emergency. when you're scared for your pet, it's hard to think clearly, and that makes these costs even more upsetting. i found the experience very disheartening. to all of my fellow dog moms and pet parents: if your pet's condition allows you to wait until regular business hours, i highly recommend calling vetco in kinnelon before agreeing to thousands of dollars in emergency charges. it may save you a significant amount of money while still getting your fur baby the care they need. do better newton!!!
