This is hands down the only place I would ever take my dogs to be groomed or for boarding! Customer service and compassion for the animals is the best around! I just picked my dogs up from a 10 day stay and they were happy & the ladies were telling me little stories about their stay! Which told me they weren't just locked away in a kennel and forgotten about. They also had my stuff together and organized to go. When I take my dogs to get groomed their hair cuts are amazing! I always receive quick service, usually can get in the same week sometimes even the next day. Their prices are SUPER fair! I always feel like I get more than I paid for! My dog is pretty nervous and I think they are gentle and nice with her! I also noticed they have a great demeanor with all the other dogs in there. So we moved to Midland about 6 months ago, and I was worried about finding a good groomer for our beloved Samoyed, YoungLy. High is very high maintenance. Worry no more! We have had him in for 4 grooms so far, and the ladies here have done a perfect job every time, exactly to our specifications. And if we ask for a little touch up after, no problem. And with all of the price gouging going on in every service/hospitality industry in this area right now, it is nice to see this shop keeping their prices reasonable. They actually charge us slightly less than PetSmart would, and the groom is better than any he has had anywhere else ever. We have also boarded him here twice now for a total of 10 nights. They have rented the suite next door and have it set up nicely for boarding. He has been happy and healthy both times we picked him up. And yesterday, we were running late coming back from Ruidoso (horrible oilfield traffic!). I called a couple of times while we were on our way and they stayed about 30 minutes late to wait on us. Not everybody would do that. Thanks so much to the lady that waited for us! In a nutshell, the staff here seems to genuinely care for the animals they are entrusted with. Very rude and unprofessional. Good with dogs, but that's about it. Watched her yell at several people for parking in-front of the store for 2 minutes due to there being no parking spots at all. Legally she can't tell them to move, but calling names and yelling at them in the presence of other customers is unprofessional. Will not go back and I don't recommend this place. read more

They groomed my pet pretty well. Cute haircut. Reason why I am giving 4/5 stars has nothing to do with the job. The job was excellent. But, they quoted me 45 for my 6lb dog. They ended up charging me 55. Granted, my day was very matted. But she is only 6 lbs! She is tiny. The place did great tho. read more

We had a wonderful experience boarding our fur baby at There's No Place Like Home. Elisa was so amazing with our dog and let us know how she was doing each day and even would send us pictures! Elisa is the sweetest person I have ever met in Midland and is a true dog whisperer! You can tell she is doing what she loves and our dog left extremely happy. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone. When I first went in to inquire about their services and costs I was quoted a price of $27.00 per dog to bathe and deshed (they were made aware of the breed of dogs). I made an appointment for the next week and dropped my dogs off I was charged $37.00 per dog being told that there was an additional $10.00 charge for deshedding. When I contacted them the following day to inquire why the fee was different I was told that it depended on breed as how much the bathing costs. My problem is that they knew prior to my making the appointment what breed and what service I wanted. I do NOT appreciate the upcharge and will NOT be returning. read more

They charged us for an extra night even though we were told 3 times by Jennifer that it would be $54, but were charged $81. They also did not follow instructions at all. They did not give our puppy any treats, even though they were specifically asked to give her at least 2 treats a day. All of the treats were still in the bag. They were very rude, and Maddy, the owners daughter, was very very rude and told us to "lose the attitude with me asshole". She was very unprofessional and should be fired. There are more than 5 witnesses to this. I will never recommend them to anyone, or use them ever again. And if my dog continues to have diarrhea, then an animal abuse case will be opened. read more

Amazing service, especially for the price. The groomers at Wizard of Paws are extremely friendly and helpful. I have a rescue, and it takes a gentle hand to bathe and groom him - the people at Wizard of Paws treat him incredibly well. I really recommend Amber: she's super attentive to my dog when she's grooming him and will point out anything that concerns her about my dog. They also have available boarding for pets. I had my dog there for a week, and he did great. They let the boarding dogs out to socialize with the dogs waiting to be groomed, so my dog got the stimulation he needed, as opposed to other boarding places that leave him in a kennel for most of the day. read more

My wife just picked up our miniature maltipoo after dropping hr off this morning for her first grooming. She was supposed to receive a puppy cut, I was shocked to see what they had done! She got what I guess you would call a poodle cut and a really bad one at that! Very uneven and bumpy. Nothing like what we had asked for! I couldn't believe we had to pay for this mess! NEVER AGAIN! This place is wonderful. Have taken my dogs and cats to Jennifer and her staff since I moved to Midland. She started boarding this year after seeing the need for better options in the area. I am so glad she does! My pets are always easy to handle and love being there. She doesn't crate/kennel the dogs while they await their grooming appointments. Facilities are always clean and service is always spectacular! I would recommend to anyone who needs grooming or boarding. read more
