Every time I come here there's always a long line at the register and they don't call for extra help until someone complains about the long line. I'm not one to complain but when it's every time you come, there's a problem. read more

I have a little 4 year old shih-tzu that we brought in for a small trim. I set an appointment and showed up around 5 minutes early. I wasn't helped, acknowledged, or even spoken to by an employee for over 20 minutes. During my wait I watched one groomer rudely argue with a customer, and watched another groomer body-slam a husky onto the grooming table. I probably should have gotten the hint to leave there. I asked the employee to cut only a quarter of an inch around her body and to do the traditional whitening shampoo, nail trimming, etc. After 4 hours they called me to pick up the dog and they had SHAVEN her completely top to bottom. I demanded to talk to a manager and the grooming manager basically said "I don't really know what you want me to do about this, do you want a free groom or something?". My dog shook for days straight after the incident & wouldn't leave from under our bed, and she's not the type to be anxious. Shame on you PetSmart! read more

I have been coming to the the grooming here with my German Shepherd puppy since she was 2 months old and now she's 8 months old. Today I took her there and this time was a horrible experience that I will not go back to their grooming. I felt so humiliated this one groomer there was so insensitive and treated my dog like some rabid beast claiming my puppy was aggressive. I couldn't believe that! I have never heard that about my puppy before bc she loves everyone and all dogs even when they attack her!! I feel they have must have done something to her to become "aggressive" as they claim. So the groomer then started to yell out in front of everyone that she's bringing out an aggressive dog that everyone needs to watch out. I was horrified and humiliated! She was being so dramatic and unnecessary while she choked her tight with the leash while she brought her out. I'm never going back there and don't recommend it to anyone. read more

This review is for the groomers only, not the entire store because our family loves Petsmart. My husband scheduled an appointment for our miniature schnauzer so I took him the next day. It was set for 11:00 and we were told it would take at least 3 hours, maybe just a little more time but they would call me when he was ready. I left the store at 11:15 along with my children to have lunch and do some shopping. At 3:15, we returned to the store because I still had not heard anything and when I ask, I was told it would be at least another 45 minutes to an hour past the 4 hours they had already had him. I left and went home to wait on the call. I received 1 call about 30 minutes after but it was not saying he was ready, I was told he was extremely matted and she had to shave him all but the beard. He was not matted because we brush him daily and he gets at least 3 baths a week. His hair was a little longer than normal because we just moved from Georgia and his cut was overdue. By 6pm, we still had not heard from them so we went back to check on him. He was finally done but he looked butchered. It looked like he had bald spots in certain places. Maybe she messed up his cut and used the "matted hair" as an excuse, not sure. When we were asking why it took about 7 hours the guy that checked me in earlier, which was very nice and honest, said they had gotten busy and he had turned in the paper to the groomer but there was no excuse, she had forgotten about our dog. We told him we were very disappointed and he suggested we speak to the manager which he called to come speak with us. We explained the problem and before we were finished he apologized and told us no charge. We told him no charge would solve the problem but he said if you are unhappy with the service, why should you have to pay for it? Everyone there including the manager was extremely nice and we will continue to shop at Petsmart but we will not use their grooming service again. read more

Very convenient location in the Waterford plaza. Staff was very helpful Leo helped me find the best food for my new dog and the other guy Gio was able to set me up with a store card that saved me $5. Good guys here very polite. Only 4 stars because their vet was a bit rude when I asked for info on getting puppy shots. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO THE PETSMART GROOMERS IN WATERFORD LAKES!! They cut my poor pugs nail vein and he was bleeding all over the place and they showed no sympathy for him :( the groomers are rude and clearly not trained properly! If I could rate ZERO stars I would!! read more

I do not write reviews often. It is usually if I get extremely good service or extremely bad service. This is only in reference to the grooming department. We have taken our two dogs there several times over the year. Out of the 4 times we have taken them to be groomed, twice they have come back with big red raw patches on them that later turned to huge scabs. We will never be taking them there again. If highly recommended another place or business for grooming. read more

I love this grooming salon. Of the few I've gone too before moving here this one is by far the best. I learned some of the groomers show dogs and compete in grooming trials so they know how to groom almost any breed even rare ones. I like how there are cameras in the salon so I feel my pets are safe. They suggested the Chi shampoo and I did it and my dog smelled good for almost 2 weeks. read more

This store is always so busy, they must be doing something right?! They always have training classes in session when I visit. Lots of animals for sale:( and a busy Banfield at the entrance. I got my first cat about 6 months ago. Being that i didn't have have much experience in cats, or any sort of cat grooming, i was a bit worried. I tried to cut my cats nails, but to be honest, i wasn't the best. Although skeptical, I eventually decided to bring my cat in and get her nails cut by a professional. From my first call about getting a possible appointment, to eventually bringing my cat in, Natasha from the grooming salon could not have been more of a help. She was there for me with my basic questions (which i'm sure she's received numerous times), and could not have been better to my cat. I was a bit worried at first knowing my cat can be a little hard with people at times, but Natasha was both gentle but also thorough in her nail cutting process. She has even brushed her hair for me and given me numerous cat caring tips along the way. I cannot thank Natasha, and everyone else in Petsmart grooming on Alafaya for all they have done for my cat. So I always come to this petsmart and today was bad. I went to pet supply on alafaya before hand looking, for fish filters but I thought there price was too expensive until I got to petsmart. So let's start with the fish, well there was none they were all out of common fish (chiclids bala shark and many more, looked like a dessert they had NO fish) then I went to grab my filters well they were more expensive then pet supply store....... so I said okay I'm sure petsmart as big as they are will price match 3 dollars right.... wrong!!!! I called pet supply to verify price and pulled it up on there website to show the manager and he said sorry we don't price match. Ummm what do you mean? He said I would have to go all the way back there pay for it bring the receipt come all the way back here buy petsmarts then go all the way back there and return really guys? Like everyone price matches well these guys lost my business and I spent over $2k last month there wow petsmart wow:/ read more

I just came from this location and very displeased at how rude the clerk was to me. I picked up a few items and went to an open line (register 2) and was told to get to the back of the line of (register 1), because she was starting from the front of register 1 line. So I proceeded do so. She asked for the next person in the line and new customers that came way after me got behind the customer in register 2. They were not ahead of me. I asked her why didn't she ask for me next and she was rude to me again and said you will have to wait until I am done. I proceeded to tell the cashier on register 1 and she agreed with her so I had to get a manager. The manager said she was going to speak to her but I left there feeling like nothing was going to be done. I never felt so disrespected and humiliated in a store in my life. Please give your cashiers a lesson on customer service. This just happened between 4 and 430pm. I am a black female and the cashier was a white female. Took my poor lil dog for a nail trim at this place and I regret every minute of it. I dropped off the dog for literally 5 minutes. I left her there while I went out to pay. All of the sudden, I heard my dog crying and screaming. When I looked over, I saw the groomer talking to her co-workers. I finished paying and ran back inside to get my dog. On the way to the car, my dog was running and shaking. She just wanted to get out of there. When I placed her on her bed in my car, I saw blood all over it. I was in shock. I went back in, spoke with the manager and she said that the person who took care of my dog had just started. I told her that this person definitely needs more training and also that they need to pay close attention who they are hiring. I thought nail trimming would be something quick and easy to do but it turned into a nightmare. They gave me my money back but it does not pay what my dog went through. I will never go back to this store. Shame on them!!!!!! read more
