First time here. We came primarily to have our cat's nails trimmed. They offer nail trimming by appointment, performed by one of their technicians. The appointment went surprisingly smoothly. The technician did a great job handling our cat, being both gentle and confident. Our cat seemed to mind having her nails trimmed much less than when we've tried doing it ourselves. The whole thing took about five minutes and, at only $15, was a great value. We also did a little shopping while we were there. They have an amazing selection of cat food, along with products for just about every other type of household pet. We picked up both wet and dry food while we were there. We'll definitely be returning on a regular basis for our cat's nail trims. read more

We took our dog to be groomed on August 15th in Pewaukee with Angie J. They told us they were intimidated by our 8 yr old mixed breed rescue. She did him before. They said he kept sitting and fell twice. He is a big dog and has joint issues. He also gets scared on smooth surfaces to walk across. So there are no challenges with other dogs and all are perfect when they come in. She was only doing furmanator and nails. They said we can't come back anymore and we said not coming in store and she said fine. I have taken cavalier there and I shop in store all the time but not anymore. They were rude and never addressed problems at the get go before the groom. Also my fiance seen them drag a dog across the floor. I think they need to be trained to deal with certain circumstances and care for the well being of a senior animal. They could have put him on a bigger rug and worked on him while sitting. A 1 star was too much. They just were like we can't deal with him so we won't finish him. No charge but we were more than willing to pay. This twice before going there. read more

Pet Smart online orders for the pharmacy is a total joke. I was told that Allivet fills their prescriptions so I mailed the vets prescription to Allivet. When I called asking when my dogs prescription would be sent Allivet told me that Pet Tards were such a problem that we no longer work with them. I was somewhat in the area having lunch and a petsmart stop was on my plans for today so I looked to see if one was around me and yes it was not far. The store is basically everything pet related including fish, birds, small animals etc with all of their needs from food to toys. Grooming is one animal at a time I think the sign says at this point in time. Animal adoptions are not happening at this time as well as animal showings. I was there to get replacement litter pellets for my new technology litter box because I was just so tired of the mess that traditional litter makes. The big bag was not on the shelf so I asked the friendly young woman if they had any big bags in the back that I could buy and she said a truck came in yesterday and that she would look. No such luck on the big bag so I bought the smaller one instead. I did get what I came for but not the size I wanted but I can't complain with what is going on right now. read more

Grooming- scary. Not only was the cut completely wrong & inconsistent with requests- our dog's anal glands became infected & it really hurt him.It was over $500 in vet bills & now he's on antibiotics. don't go here read more

I went to take my dog into get his nails clipped. When I walked in there was another gentlemen in front of me in line. We were there for 5-10 mins before an employee outside of the pet grooming area came in to see if we have been helped. We said no and they proceeded to go into the back to let the staff know they have customers. One staff member was working on a dog in the back but who knows what the other one was doing at the time. The staff that was not busy at the time came up front after another 5 mins of us waiting. The staff member didn't even say sorry for the wait and just said yes what can I do for you. The person in front of me was inquiring about bring his dog to get groomed and also provided her with the doctor vet records. She said ok we can make them an appointment and then proceeds to not even look at the documents and tell him they don't need them. The gentlemen left. She again said "yes, how can I help you?" with no sense of friendliness at all. I said I wanted to get my dog in for a nail clipping. The staff member looked up my account and proceed to tell me they don't have updated rabie records for my dog and that the system says it expired in May 2023. However, I had his nails last clipped in August 2023 (so why wouldn't they of updated it then when I showed them). The staff member proceed to say they need updated records. I started to login to my vet's app and the member then goes well there is someone here for an appointment and is 15 minutes early so while you are looking that up I will take her. I said well I only have 15 mins before I have to get my kids so the staff member then rudely said ok I guess I will wait. I pulled up the app showing the record says 5/5/23 for rabies. They proceed to tell me that it doesn't specify if that is the received date or the expiration date. I said well I don't know what else to show you. They said they would call the vet to verify and I said do what you need to do. They then told me they are denying me service today because she is not comfortable doing it on my dog today and that I could come back another day if I would like. It was apparently from the first moment they walked up from the back room they had no desire to do anymore service that day. After I was denied service, I went to get crickets for my bearded dragon. The lady getting me crickets stated saying talking randomly..."Well that is the policy so don't worry about it." I can only imagine the staff member was talking to her over the mic in her ear. So overall my whole experience was terrible. All I wanted is to get my dog's nails clipped which takes 5 mins max for them to do. I have spent so much money there in the last year with a new puppy and I will not be going to that petsmart again anytime soon. Overall they are never overly friendly to me when I go so I will go somewhere that appreciates my business. read more

I spend hundreds of dollars a month at this store. I buy dog food for both of my dogs. We buy our leashes, collars, chew toys and other various dog toys from the store. We buy bully sticks, pupperoni and other assorted dog accessories. Today we wrre going to buy a $20 leash for our dog and there was an issue with my 16 year old daughter's debit card. It has more than enough cash, however, for some reason it was not ringing up the last $.35 of the sale. So they have to open up another checkout lane to help the three people behind my daughter, because even though I was in the parking lot waiting for her, they wouldn't just close out the transaction and help the next people. I was bringing the $.35 in. How embarrassing. I will not go to the store anymore. It was $.35. I will definitely take the time to go to the Oconomowoc store. read more

Please do not come here for your pets, pet supplies, etc. Animals are put in tanks that are not properly serviced. People in charge of these animals are not educated on appropriate care and needs of the animals. I've been coming to this store for two years now and I've reached my boiling point. The staff do not walk around asking if you need help, you need to go to the people at the register. Almost every time I am there, there are multitudes of dead fish in almost every single tank. I've worked in an aquarium where fish were more plentiful yet we hardly had premature fatalities. Four black angelfish were on the tank floor gasping with other fish attacking them. Brought this up to the register employee who said, "Which ones are those?" They don't even know the animals they have in the store. Disgusting and embarrassing. Go to your local hobbyist aquatic shops for better variety of fish, healthy fish, and advice on care. read more

When this store opened in my area, I couldn't be more excited to get all of my pets needs in a one stop shop. I take my 2 dogs (Kooikerhundje and American Eskimo) to be groomed and they always look and smell wonderful and don't want to leave. Some grooming staff are hit and miss so I request a certain person and couldn't be happier. I get all my toys, treats and food whenever I get my dogs groomed. The shelves are always full or at least an associate let's me know that my product will be on their next shipment. Their prices for food and treat are a tad high but they price match when I bring in a competitor's ad. The staff if very friendly and knows my dogs by name and they get a free treat for a simple command of "sit" or "paw" which makes them even happier to come visit If no one has an answer to my question of either training or health problems, they find one or refer me to my vet instead of making something up. Y'all should know me by now. It will shop at mom an pop's place, warehouses, and everything in between...but, I only continue to shop there if the customer service is good/great. We received a starter fish tank as a gift for my youngest. We've lost a few fish in the last few months so we thought we'd take a trip to the local big chain and get a few more fish. Their selection is adequate, prices decent. But, after standing there and seeing the staff help two others who came in AFTER us, and one staff "chit chatting" with someone else...I was D.O.N.E. Not one staff person asked if we needed "help". The area is maybe 8x12 and my children kept saying, "We're next, right?". I kept replying (rather loudly, I might add) -"Let's be patient and wait our turn". THEY WERE OBLIVIOUS. read more
