Before it was my turn, I overheard a conversation between two people. There was a man in front of me who also bought fish. The staff member even told him that the fish might get eaten, but still sold it to him anyway. Yet when it came to my turn, things were completely different! I asked if there were still angelfish in the tank, and she didn't even bother to look and just said there weren't any. I told her I could see one in there, and only then did she check. After that, she started questioning me: "How many gallons is your tank?" I answered 44 gallons, and she smirked, saying she had never heard of a 44-gallon tank! Then she asked how many fish I had, and when I said 5 angelfish, she flatly refused to sell me the fish. Her attitude was extremely poor. It seemed clear that she noticed I wasn't a native speaker, since my English isn't perfect, and that made her treat me even worse. Meanwhile, I have owned and cared for many fish with multiple tanks at home. My fish are always healthy and well taken care of. Being treated as if I was irresponsible felt completely unfair and very disrespectful. This experience only reinforces why I will support local fish stores instead -- where staff are knowledgeable, respectful, and truly care about the animals. She advised me I could add angel fish. Worse groomers! Dropped my dog off 12:30pm for grooming (bath, trim, etc. and paid extra for conditioning). 1:28 pm got a call ready for pickup. $83 for my fur baby to look exactly the same way when I dropped him off. I should've know something was wrong when I get a pick up call after 1 hr. My dog was still wet and not fully dry. It's 34 degrees outside. I can empathize with groomer saying I'm sorry you're not happy, but got nothing from this person. When I returned after paying my dog was on another groomer's table. That groomer was blowing drying him. Prior to leaving to pay I asked them not to touch him. So why did the other groomer have on the table blow drying him. So they can't even follow simple instructions like "please don't touch my dog." Look at my poor dog's face. He knows he got a crappy groomer. The worse grooming my baby has ever had. My cousin has a huge fish tank so we stopped here to get some things. At first I was excited to see the pets but that feeling soon left me. I was surprised to see how old most of the cats were. I'm sure the most adoptable would be kittens so I was sad thinking how much longer their time would be. I also saw birds and reptiles but not a single dog other than the customers own who were getting groomed. The staff presence seemed unbalanced. I second Larenzo!!! Our dog had a horrible experience at this establishment nothing like what I've experienced at other pet smart locations! Seeing my dog so irritated has me in flames. I waited hours to be reunited with dog only to find him extremely sad & a botched haircut. Not one service I paid for was done correctly. This is my least favorite Petsmart location. The staff is rude and they never have anything in stock. I only stop when it's on my route and every time I tell myself never again. They also seem to only ever have one employee ringing at the register who almost always seems to be new and untrained. What's up with that? If you're closer to the one on Oregon Ave in South Philadelphia - do yourself a favor and go there instead! Edit: I'm done with this location. After another horrible experience I've officially learned my lesson. The managers are babbling idiots who have no real power or knowledge on how to assist a customer. I'm giving this place 3 stars to be nice. The staff has been friendly enough during my visits. I've been here about 4 times now and each time there is a line. They never have more than two cash registers open although there are like 7 registers. I also feel like they have a lot of items but never anything that I want for my pets so inevitably I end up buying my second choice on an item. The place is very clean and has plenty of space. Probably can get cheaper at the Walmart next door but that place is way worse in reference to lines and customer service. In short, hit this place up if you have to and you want specialized pet items but you can find better if you drive farther. read more

I took my dog today to get groomed and the 2 ladies there, Mariah and Marian ( I hope I am not spelling the names wrong),were amazing specially the African American lady. My dog is difficult and does not like to get groomed but this lady was so patient and sweet with him and tried so hard until the end to get him groomed. I am so thankful for them and for the hard work. I would recommend those 2 ladies. read more

It's perfect and the only groomer I trust my dog going to. I tried to send him to another groomer because unfortunately, PetSmart was fully booked until September and they butchered his haircut. I'm thinking of suing the other place and the price was about the same if not, more than whet PetSmart charges. They left my dog smelling worse than he did before while PetSmart leaves him smelling like cotton candy. And my dog is acting strangely and he's been hiding for hours on end and he's been pooping up with random cuts on his body so we're taking him to see a vet. Love the ladies here that do the grooming. So friendly and really care for the animals. This is the 2nd time I brought my dog here and they have been consistent. The groomer actually called me to tell me after the dogs evaluation that he did not need his nails cut because they were in great shape. And then added that his skin was dry and recommended an oatmeal bath to help his skin stay healthy. They were very accurate with their timing on how long they would be. I really appreciate that. And pricing was reasonable. My dog is an 8yr old black lab and he is on the large size. And it was only 38.99 for a bath, ears, and teeth. Even with the special oatmeal bath. I recommend them highly. Fist two times I was really happy and so my Litlle cocker spaniel. I'm really disappointed from the last time. One of the staff kissed my dog on his mouth and I saw her kissing others dogs; made me feel weirded . But this wasn't the only concern; she did a really bad job; gave my dog a ugly hair cut and his nails wasn't trimmed well and his ears was really dirty. When I went to ok him I checked him and asked her about his ears she said was done. I'm really sad. I was so excited to have a groom near to my house at a affordable price.... We were taking our pup there from the time that we got him. The first 4 times were fine and then he was matched with Tiana. Tiana had a nasty disposition and when we came back to pick him up she said that he was unmanageable. When we came back the next time they forced us to get the express service without explaining that it would cost more. In addition to that he has to get the express because he wouldn't do well in the kennel. They didn't want to dry our pup and was going to send him home wet in the cold. Tiana's attitude was not good with our pup. We made an appointment at another petsmart and we explained what happened and they said our pup was perfect. I just believe if you don't have patience you shouldn't work with animals. Our pup is happy and playful and I feel like she just didn't want to deal with him because of his size. I get all my pet supplies here. There is always some type of sale going on and you get good deals if you have their club card. I trained my puppy here over 8 weeks and we both learned a great deal about behavior training. I also got my dog groomed here on numerous occassions but she proved to be fiesty so I decided to buy the clippers and do it myself. The staff is good when it comes to listening to your needs and suggesting what is best. read more

I will no longer take my dog to this location. Last Friday I was rescheduled a grooming appointment to an earlier time. I was under the assumption if u tell me come in , there is an opening. Petsmart has never had a problem before telling me there is no opening in the book. Anyway I took my dog in time for his appointment and was told he would be ready in four hours. I returned after four hours and my dog didn't even get a bath. They had him locked in a cage for four hours. I was beyond pissed. The manager said they tried to do me a favor by seeing him earlier well no one said that; Also the groomer that initially took him when I arrived was working on another dog?? He then gave me the dumbest look and said my dog is a quick groom it will take him about 45 mins well why didn't u do that 3 hours and 15 mins ago when I brought him in at the time u told me too. Be careful. Appears they will cancel your appointment ,refused to check in your dog, refuse to clipped if you question a service and don't agree with them. I have gone here for over five years.Never had a problem. Now I clipped my own dog's body but went in to have paws , legs, head and tail clipped. I always get the full package with special shampoo and conditioner, teething brushing and nail grinning. They wanted to charge me a matting fee. In the past I understood and paid the fee. But I said you are ripping me off the dog's entire body is clipped so charge me what you want but I will notify corporate that I feel this was a unfair charge. After I said I will notified corporate they refused to clip my dog. I said I would pay the fee I just feel it was unfair. I heard them do this to another customer months before but I walk in on tail end of the event, The Salon Leader didn't even try to resolve the issue or just clip the dog. She just refused to clip the dog and handed me her card. Also she must get commission on racking up services . So be careful and watch all the charges they encourage you to add. This is the first time I had a problem at this store. I think it is a new practice my usually groomer got promoted and left this store.
