We have always used Petsmart as a convenient and cost effective way to keep up with trimming our dog's nails. For years we have gone to the Polaris and Sawmill locations, purchasing pawdicures and being on our way. While all of our visits have been fine, when we recently moved to Gahanna and tried this Reynoldsburg location, and they really set a new standard! As if the store associates weren't all kind and personable enough, my dog came out of the grooming salon actually smelling and looking better. They even gave her a bandana!! I have been going to the Pickerington location for the past 5 year and have been satisfied with the service. However, on our last visit as we were in the small waiting area, a very large dog came rushing out of the back room unleashed and through the small door and attacked me and my dog. After that, the workers brushed it off and let 2 other dogs plus 3 human come into the small waiting area which was against store policy of only one animal. A lady final got to me and preceded to check my already traumatized dog out by backing her into a small corner due to the lack of room in this small waiting space and then denied service because she thought my dog was being aggressive. This chaos was unacceptable, unprofessional, and a disgrace to the entire staff on duty that day. You can't make this stuff up and needless to say we are finding another place that's a little more buttoned up. read more

Worst experience with grooming ever. The groomer her self was very amicable and easy to talk to. After getting my dog and looking at her, i wasnt happy with SOME parts of her grooming. Ive never been the type of person to ever complain or ask for money back even if something isnt like 100% what i wanted. So this really bothered me to even go out of my way to ask petsmart for refund.Overall her body, tail and paws were as i asked, her face was kind of inconsistent, and her sanitary area looked like she had gotten A razor straight down from her butt to her crotch. How my SIL described, it was like my dog had recieved a brazilian. (I had taken her previously before and NEVER had this type of issue.) so I nicely declined for the groomer to touch her up and asked for SOME type of monetary compensation back. Groomer was very lovely and redirected me to manager. Oh boy. I nicely explained what i wasny happy with but also redirecting to the fact that overall, her body paws and tail were just how i asked. Simply wanted Some money back. Manager then proceeds to BLAME MH DOG for her BOTCHED face since shes a puppy with energy (again, shes never EVER had this issue especially when she was younger, never had face botching or sanitary area buzzing.) so i immediately said that to manager. Manager proceeded to say "whats wrong with her butt, is it choppy?" To which i said " its not that its choppy. The groomer just passed the razor straight down. * reference pics down below.* So then manager proceeds to ask if i wanted her to touch up my dog which i then again politely declined and asked for momey back. Mind you i paid 109 DOLLARS. i wouldve been fine with like 30. since i liked majority of her cut. So after i mentioned it, manager then asks me if i will be Doing business with them again which i then answered, "no, im sorry." the manager then proceeds to say, im sorry but thats all i can offer you." *NO MONEY BACK. Could only offer me a touch up to my dogs already botched face and butt.* so i became livid and said " this looks like 109$ hair cut to you? Thats absolutely rediculous." And customers were coming in when i was finally ACTUALLY being firm with how i felt. They then proceeded to SUDDENLY be able to provide me $82 refund which i was then happy about. Dont do business with them. The groomers them selves are sweet but the manager has no idea how to be a manager. Awful customer service on their end. Again, the groomer themselves was very Lovely to work with and was very helpful when i did nicely mention the areas i wasny happy with. read more

If I coukd give zero stars I would. Horrible experienc. Took prescription from my vet there to get my 14 year old chihuahua special food for her kidneys. Vet bill was $460. They refused to sell the food unless I went to Benefield, their vet, to get a special card. Most likely another $400. Benefiekd is closed on Tuesday. Called my vet, she said to speak to manager and have the manager call her. They refused. Told Benefield will be open tomorrow. Not doing that, I don't trust Benefield and I have the prescriptio. The pharmacy does not require me to see their dr before getting meds, but the pet pharmacy one must see their vet. Now it a matter of principle. Chewy will have it here soon. Don't need to see their vet. Never going there again. read more

Horrible customer service groomer Nicole spoke very rudely on the phone. My dog was seen at this location two months ago and everything went well until I called in today to schedule another appointment and the staff member Nicole yelling on the phone stating he had too many missed appointments, if this is so why would you see him in January 2024 to now not see my dog. Customer service at its worst. Pet-smart needs to do better with servicing pet owners and stop having their staff make up a policy that wasn't shared with the customers. Zero stars! The customer service here sucks. We asked for assistance at the reptile cages and was told to wait on the guy that was having a personal conversation with someone. When he finally got done talking to him, I asked if we could see a snake and he proceeded to say "You're going to have to give me a moment." My little guy goes to the groomer there. Hes been going for 4 years. Ive only had one cut one time that pissed me off. There not the cheapest to get a cut for your cuddle bug. But they keep him looking fresh for me. It takes an adverage of three hours and then your pooch is ready for you. I havent had a reason as of yet to change to another place. read more

Not the best experience tonight. They caused an injury to a beautiful Lab that led to a bloody paw. They told the owner, don't worry, we'll cover any vet bills, even though the on-site vet wouldn't see the animal. But nothing in writing. A trip to the emergency vet starts at $500. Prepaid. Good luck getting repaid. Then they wouldn't honor a sale posted in the grooming area. It was supposed to give you $5 off for ANY holiday toy purchase. Went today to get my little princess groomed. A young women named Kimberly was her groomer. She was really kind and gentle, and my baby came out happy and looking cuter than ever!! I am totally bringing her back here from now on to get groomed! I also really like how I can see through the glass as their grooming her; as I'm a worried dog mom of course. Have to make sure my baby is okay at all times. I also walked around the store a little bit while waiting. I was asked a couple of times if I needed help finding anything, everyone there seemed very friendly. They have just about everything it seemed like. Healthy looking fish, and animals as well. Clean store over all. It is a lot smaller than their last location but it's still just as nice. I will definitely be coming back to this location. This review is specifically about their grooming department. My dog was traumatized from coming here and to this day I am not sure what exactly they did to him. He was a little puppy (about 8 months old) when we took him to get groomed. Upon walking in the staff seemed rude and not happy to see my dog. They took him to the back and told me they would call me when they were done. A few hours later I got a call back and they said he was finished although they couldn't complete the work because he was moving around too much. They said I could bring him back another day to get him finished up. I picked him up and half of his face was longer than the other half so of course I had to agree to come back another day to get the rest of this face done. Skip to a few days later when we get back in the car and head to Petsmart. We parked and before we even got out of the car my dog started shaking uncontrollably. He looked so terrified to be there and I felt so bad bringing him back in. I dropped him off again, this time with him shaking in my arms as I handed him over. They called me a few hours later to tell me he was done. I went back in and asked how he did as I was concerned over all of the shaking. Someone who resembled a manager with short blonde hair (she seemed like she was in charge) told me that my dog was "evil" and he was very hard to work with. How can you a call an 8 month old puppy EVIL?! This was horrible customer service and I can't bare to think what happened to him there. We can't even drive by that Petsmart without my dog shaking. Fast forward to a few months later when we brought him to a new groomer. I asked the new groomer how he did and she told me that he was a breath of fresh air for her because he was so well behaved. I took my golden retriever to the groomers at Petland September 19, 2015. Two days later I realized liquid was seeping from her ears, after taking a look I noticed that whoever had groomed her cut both of her ears severely. I called the grooming salon who redirected me to the manager (lady) who insisted I come in to the Banfield Pet Hospital for them to take a look. I was told to get there before 5, I arrived at 4:40 and was told by the manager (lady) that all Banfields registers were closed and I would have to come back Monday. She then proceeded to tell me this is sometimes common when dogs have mats on their ears. I explained to her that if this was normal then something was wrong with their groomers or their expectations. My dog was so afraid to be in the store she peed which has never happened before. The next day I met with a different manager (man) who was a lot more concerned about the situation then the woman previous. He asked if my dog was always this afraid and I told him no. He then asked if the groomer had told me she cut her ears and I said no, nothing was said to me. I then took her to Banfield and they gave me some antibiotics for her. A week passed and I noticed her left ear not getting better, I was told to schedule another appointment with Banfield which couldn't get me in for three more days. I will be taking her in today and hoping for a better outcome. This is ridiculous and really makes you wonder how good your pets are being taken care of. We took our Yorkie in for teeth cleaning. They took care of her and gave her excellent care. The only reason for the 4 star rating is they gave her two shots, even though we told her she was up to date. Also, there was a worker who was on the phone or computer and didn't wait on any customers at the counter. I dislike places that don't serve the customers right in front of them and give priority to potential customers over a wire. read more

Took my two fur-babies in for their very first professional grooming. (I normally do it myself--not very well, but still...) Megan and Ashley did an AMAZING job!! They were very intent on learning as much about both dogs before I left. What do they like, what scares them, any health issues. One of the dogs is elderly and the other is just insane--one fry short of a happy meal, y'know what I mean?) Thanks to Megan & Ashley's skill and training they had NO problems with my furry nutcases. I think the dogs may have actually ENJOYED the grooming! I HIGHLY recommend the PetSmart Groomers at Taylor Park in Reynoldsburg!! read more

Their store on Brice was larger and had a better selection. This store is smaller, compact and lacking in selection by comparison. They no longer carry our dog's brand of food (Merrick), so we only go here for cat food (max cat). Prices on cans of food have also gone up $.15ea since the move. Both Target and PetSmart should be responsible for the empty buildings they left off Chantry/Brice, there was no need to move since you're the only pet store in the area. read more

Oh wow. If I could give this -100 stars I would. Lisa, the "manager", is extremely rude, unprofessional, and other words. We had a dog that is very vocal when excited/frustrated with separation issues and we were trying to do some shopping while also working our dog. If training isn't allowed, that's fine, but she was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL ABOUT IT. Our dog was on a harness and was not in any pain whatsoever, and is extremely loved and well cared for. She basically treated us like lepers and insinuated we were torturing our dog. You literally couldn't pay me to step foot in the store ever again. I am telling every single person I know as are the people that were with me. She did not politely let us know that training isn't allowed (also please tell me where it says this because I have done training multiple times before and employees have complimented my dogs), she basically cussed us out without using actual cuss words. The groomers at this location are beyond rude and they refuse to wear masks! The first visit I brought my puppy in for a haircut and bath and the girl Megan outright accused me of animal abuse simply because I wanted his hair buzzed short she said a cut would traumatize him at his age! He absolutely hates getting brushed and it was July so I keep his hair short to make brush time go faster and he's a flat face dog they don't do well in heat it's for his benefit not mine she implied I was just lazy! The second visit was supposed to be today at 9am I work full time so I have to book out his groomings a month in advance, I take off work and plan my entire day around it!!! I walk into the grooming salon and I notice that neither groomer is wearing a mask and they were both very brazen about it and within view of everyone in the store the grooming salon has windows you can see everything going on! That was strike one! I have a parent at home who is seriously ill and immune compromised I was on edge not wanting these individuals in my dogs face (dogs can catch covid). Then strike 2 I noticed my dog was cowering down and whimpering behind me a behavior I have never seen from him not even at the vets office he's a big time flirt very socialized so now I'm left to wonder how he was treated on the last visit. I confronted the groomer Amanda (who by the way was rude and giving me dirty glares when I walked in) and she immediately gets defensive, cops an attitude with me, and starts rolling her eyes!! She then snaps "where's his rabies paperwork?" I replied he doesn't have it until next month my vet says he too young she smirks "well then no haircut today SORRY! I need his paperwork!" I immediately called bs and even if that was true I should have been notified before I got to the salon!!! I finally flipped out "really babe your not wearing a mask which is required and your gonna get on me about rabies paperwork!!" I stormed out she gave me a big cheery smart ass BYE! I confronted the manager who was very passive about it!! Between the first visit, my dog being freaked out (if my dogs don't trust you I don't trust you) the complete disregard for public safety, the pettiness, and carving out my entire day just to have it wasted I will not be back and I've already called the health department!! My Great Dane doesn't like her nails clipped and needs patience by a groomer for the task. First we tried our vet, but they would only tip the nail and not make any difference. We went to this Petsmart a few months ago and worked with a groomer named Alica (hope that's spelled right). She did such an amazing job and my dog was HAPPY! I've never been so happy and I breathed a sigh of relief as I had finally found a good place. Called this morning and was told that Alica has left and is grooming for another company further away. I went back to Petsmart anyways and I've never been more sorry. The lady that tended to my dog was unattached. I watched her struggle to control my dog and rejected any offer of help to just get her on the table. The pulling on the far back of her leash and the struggle set the tone immediately for my dog and I. I watched through the glass as the lady struggled through all 4 paws. When the ordeal was over, I was basically told to NOT bring her back. That I should have my vet do it and my dog is just 'too big' for her. That struck me as odd since the cashier told me that they have lots of Danes come through. It's been 5 hours since we arrived home and my dog has not left her kennel yet. read more

I took my puppy in for training -- explained that he was very excited when he saw other people and dogs. He does have a loud bark. Walked in, some dogs barked at him so he barked back. I took it upon myself to calm him down by walking him to a secluded area before classes started. When I went to the training area, the trainer told us we could not come in the class. She didn't pull me aside to tell me why just dismissed me and went back to the group. I felt like it was a disrespectful approach as she could have done it in a better way and told me why we couldn't come into the classes. She claimed she'd call in two hours, received a phone call from the manager instead who questioned what was wrong with him and stated he was displaying aggressive behavior by barking. I appreciate the manager for calling but I do not like the manner they handled things especially when his personality was explained as we asked for advice on what class to sign-up for. read more

I used to bring my Goldendoodle here for grooming since he was 4 months old. When he was 1, I again brought him for grooming. He began shaking the moment I opened up the door for him to go inside. Once inside, he kept trying to hide behind me. He was scheduled for grooming with a young lady but the guy who did the shampooing the last grooming came out to get my pup. He kept trying to get away from the guy and began peeing while shaking uncontrollably. He had never done this before and I thought it must have been because the man was big loud and had lots of tattoos. I am not sure what happened the time before but I have never brought him back and he has never done this with his new groomer at Emi Pet Salon. read more
