This was the absolute worst experience. I hardly ever write reviews but I have to share this one. We took our dog for grooming services with Gabriel and the overall experience was negative. After I was told by Cassandra, the supervisor, I could pay using the app and allow my daughter to pick my dog up, their payment links did not work to no fault of their own. When my daughter went to pick our dog up I was on the phone with her, I asked to speak with someone there to let them know to reshare the links or email so we could pay. I could hear them in the background saying they would not talk with me. So I called the store to accommodate their needs since they refused to talk to me on my daughter's phone. Gabriel rudely let me know I had two options inpatient and uninterested in at least resending the links. I asked him to resend the email since it sounded as though he had sent it to the wrong one. The entire time he approached our conversation as though I was an inconvenience. All the while my daughter waited their embarrassed. Their customer service was the absolute worst. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

Lately I've been coming here to get both of my dogs groomed and I honestly have no complaints. Big shout out to Suan and Erica but doing a fantastic job with my pups and adhering to my requests. The communication has been great and they usually get them completed faster than expected. During checkout, I also have a positive experience. read more

Best friend when I tell you I feel SOOOO bad because I go these guys to groom my babies and I have yet to write a review. I know they are saying ABOUT time. No worries I got you guys. This place is located in a small area where there is a Target and all kinds of food places around. You don't have to worry about parking Everytime i come here the employees are sooo beyond sweet so it keeps me coming back of course. Now when I first got my mini poodle. He didn't look like a mini poodle but mind you he was only 4 months old and just a little baby so his first haircut omg I didn't recognize him. My baby looked soooooo cute with his tail and boy washed. I just could t stop loving on him. lol I know he was thinking ok lady PLEASE sit down somewhere lol. Bottom line. I LOVE this place. I brought my dog there for grooming, paid $120, and they did not do want I asked. When I picked her up she seemed very nervous and scared of them. For the grooming what they did do is all choppy with long stragglers. When I complained they said a manager was not available. When a manager was available they called me my dogs name multiple times, even after I brought it to their attention. They declined to acknowledge that they did a bad job and pretty much told me - it is what it is. I will never bring my dog there again. read more

READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING GROOMING HERE Without exaggerating, you place your dog at risk of needing an urgent visit to a vet if you groom here. I am a physician who routinely performs outpatient surgery, and the injury left on my dog is nothing short of negligence. If you reference the picture below, then you will see an approximately 2cm, full thickness, skin laceration to his mid abdomen, exposing the muscle fascia that covers his abdominal muscles. I was told this was created by a "blade" used during their grooming process. I do not say this lightly, the kind of rushing, corner cutting, and/or poor training responsible for this kind of injury creates the kind of conditions that put your dog at risk for having the fatal outcome most of us fear and have head about on social media--the one where they jump off the grooming table and are choked from the collar. I would need to see some kind of official response or change to ever go near this establishment again. They are paying for the vet bill and didn't charge for the grooming fee but you can probably imagine that's cold comfort. Medical concerns aside, the haircut is terrible. You can also reference the pictures and see that they basically set a cutter to a certain length and just ran the length of my dog with it (incompletely I might add). They also did so for my OTHER dog who was there getting groomed as well, in case you were wondering if they stopped early with only my injured dog because of the accident. I think I've said enough. I have taken my Goldendoodle to this grooming salon twice. They did a fantastic job each time. My Goldendoodle was a happy pup when I picked her up each time. We had the WORST dog grooming we have ever had. The ears were uneven, the tail wasn't even cut, and his eyes were super uneven as well. We had to fix a lot of things ourselves. Our dog is super easy to groom btw, very well tempered. Save your money and go somewhere else or do it yourself. read more

Vienna has grown up going to this PetsMart. Always an amazing experience with the training crew. We LOVE Dr. Tinc who visits every Saturday with ShotVet. Truly, we trust him more than anybody at local clinics right now. And now we have tried Grooming with PetsMart for the first time today. She was not scared when they were finished and she looked & smelled amazing. We did the Bathe and Brush, and the Luxury add-on package with the HEMPZ soap. Came for the grand opening and got a cool tour of the grooming facilities--so awesome! Brought my Leo back for grooming and they did a fantastic job! Great selection of pet food, supplies, and services. Staff is helpful and friendly. So much so, I am considering bringing Leo for doggie training. Definitely coming back! read more

DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE!!! I came to bring my dog groomed and while I was waiting one of the ladies made someone's dog patchy and left the face looking horrible and stopped grooming the dog and basically blamed the dog. Another lady was being mean to the dog not yelling at him but raising her voice at him to stop moving. & as for my dog he looks horrible! He's literally looks like lion, they shaved his body off and that's not what I wanted and the guy told me how long his hair would be and it's not that length, he didn't want to show me my dog before I paid cs I'm sure he knew I would've made a big deal about it. read more

Worst examples of carelessness & animal abuse I've ever witnessed in a pet store. Not simply dying fish, but MOUNDS of dead fish, dirty tanks, multiple fish stuck in filters. Don't buy fish here. If they're not dead, they're surely sick and will die shortly after arriving to their new home. read more

This location at the Shops of Dove Creek plaza is slightly smaller than other PetSmarts, but it has a good selection of pet supplies to fulfill your furry (or scaly) family member's needs. They offer grooming and vet services typical of other PetSmart locations. My only complaint is that the dog toys aisle always seems to be in low stock with not as many options as the other bigger locations. No matter though because I usually only stop by here to pick up my dog's Blue Buffalo True Solutions kibble. I always use the 25% off one item coupon that can be won in the app if you're a Treats rewards member. The checkout line here also moves fast, even on the weekends. read more

I just wanted to let you know of our grooming experience at Store 2708 San Antonio Potranco location. We did utilize grooming services for our dog, Harper. She had a great report card and we were happy. We also made an appointment for our cat, Lexi. We were unsuccessful in making an appointment for her in the end and services were never performed for our cat. Our cat initially had an appointment on August 2nd. We received a voicemail from a person the day before by the name of Christina at a phone number of (726) 444-2904 to call her back to reschedule her appointment. If this information is false, I have the voice mail to prove it and can come by their store to confirm. On the voicemail she stated that they only do cat grooming Monday through Thursday. I went online and cancelled that appointment and rebooked it for August 5. We arrived there approximately ten minutes early. I realized I had forgotten her paperwork. Her groomer, Measha, came out to speak to us and stated she will need her paperwork in order for them to do services. We completely understood. I told her we live 5 minutes away and I can go get it. She said it would be faster to call the vet. She got on the phone and attempted to call our veterinary clinic and it appeared that she did not get through to them as I did not hear her speaking to anyone. We were minutes past the appointment and assumed that she may not be able to get serviced because we are past the appointment time with no response from our vet. In the end, I take responsibility for forgetting my paperwork, but was also left with the impression that may be they do not service all animals at this location. I told Measha that I can reschedule for a different date and time. The truth is I wont be doing that. I walked out and spoke to a worker at the front by the registers. I am not sure if she was a manager, but I let her know what happened. She proceeded to let me know that the PetSmart by on 410 and Evers does cats. After making it home and looking at reviews for that store, we opted out because of the horrible reviews of that store particularly their grooming. They have lost a customer in us but that won't matter to a big box retailer and its bottom dollar. I just believe everyone should be aware of our experience there and for people to make a decision that is suitable for them. read more

I never do reviews anywhere. I felt it was necessary today. We take our two dogs to this PetSmart for nail trims and they do a fantastic job at $10 each. This time, however, they did the "Pawdicure" including grinding at $20 each when I booked the appointment for a regular trim. That's no problem, as someone who works in customer service, I understand mistakes are made. They are always awesome, playful, and all smiles with us and our animals. The woman helping us was nothing but professional and kind when we told her we only booked a regular trim and worked to honor that price. The issue was when another woman with pink hair came up to help her adjust the price and muttered "it's only 40 dollars" under her breath and had a horrible attitude. Every dollar counts for my family.. WE were the ones to apologize, and all we got from her was "just so you know for next time, the grind is what smoothes the nail after the trim." That's great, but that isn't what I asked for. I'm not stupid and don't enjoy being talked to like I am. Take responsibility and don't talk to us in such a way that we inconvenienced you after we were almost charged double what we asked for. It's not the mistake that I'm reviewing poorly, it's the 'tude. Props to the first girl and the other ladies that handled our babies. read more

I can't speak for all of the groomers, but I followed Zang to the Potranco store from another petsmart location when this new store opened. I have a Shih tzu and a Sheepadoodle who both require regular, fairly complicated grooming. Zang always does an amazing job and they leave happy and looking awesome!! She has a great personality and does a fantastic job. I highly recommend her if you are near this location. read more

I'm very disappointed with the grooming care at this location. We took our Goldendoodle here last week to get a bath and haircut. After spending hours dematting him at home (could easily comb from his skin through the tip of his hair), they proceeded to tell us he was matted and would have to shave him all over! The groomer told us he was the only dog at the time, so our doodle would have all his attention. Two hours later, our dog was ready to be picked up. I was mortified when the groomer brought him out! The groomer(s) butchered his haircut! They shaved everything expect his face, part of his tell, and his testes area (very strange). He also didn't even smell like he had a bath. Yet, we were WAY overcharged. $10 for a special handling fee? I think they abused our Goldendoodle; he hasn't been the same dog since we brought him home. $30 for dematting?...when they essentially took a razor and shaved him! A total of $130! So I got my two tanks from them, they were great. I got two guppies a few months back (perfectly healthy amazing fish) and recently added two neon tetras(also healthy and great) but I got two MALE fancy guppies a few days ago and they died last night! The one was super fat and seemed to possibly be a female who was pregnant! It was doing lots of headstands so I put it in a new tank to separate it from the others and when I woke up this morning both of the male guppies that I had recently bought were dead. When I bought them they were in separate tanks at PetSmart so maybe one of them passed the sickness to the other in the bag. I'm not sure but I'm very dissatisfied with my experience. read more

If I could give this store zero stars I would. Worst customer service ever! Just to give everyone reading this review a heads up DO NOT waste your time or gas to take your pet here to get groomed if they have a history of health problems like seizures, because they DO NOT have a veterinarian on site which I was not aware of until after the fact! I made an appointment at this new location on the app like I normally do(Mind you I usually go to loop 410 location) so this was my first time taking my pet to this new location. A day before I received an automated voice message confirming my appointment and informed me all I needed to take was my pets shot records. The day of the appointment I arrived on time and with the correct paper work as requested, as I was checking in, Zang, which was also rude not to mention, asked me a series of questions and asked if my dog has a history of seizures I replied yes. She then informed me that they could not take my pet because they do not have a vet on site and turned me and my pet away. If I knew this information before hand I wouldn't have wasted my time to drive all the way over there! It was already hard to get an appointment in the first place because they were booked for the rest of the month. I understand it is safer for your pet but they should inform customers before they make their appointment! I will be taking my money somewhere else from now on. read more

Every time I ask for something they won't check, which is fine because they probably know their inventory but they say they'll have it Monday and when I come Monday they don't have anything.
