This has been my go to stop since we got a new puppy, from food to toys to treats and more. I grabbed a new harness for him, they had plenty of options but I found one that felt comfy for him. I also got a name tag engraved with the machine they have off to the side. They also have salon services here, I booked his appointment online. It was his first time here so I got him a puppy bath that takes about 1.5-2 hours, Julie was his groomer. She made him all nice and clean and then sprayed him with puppy perfume when we picked him up. The most disgusting PetSmart grooming I've ever seen My dog had an appointment at 9 AM and was not ready until after 2:30 PM When I took him in, I couldn't believe how much dog hair there was on the floor unbelievable how management is not on top of those employees , I left my dog kind of concern, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt I walked out of there at 9:15 AM Then at 1 o'clock, I walked in the store to go and check on my dog since they had not called me. He had never been there for over 3 1/2 hours at this point it was almost going to be five hours. And they tell me oh he's not ready we are really behind and I'm looking on the floor and there's at least five different types of haircuts hair on the floor just a disaster a mess everywhere And she tells me oh he's not ready it's probably gonna be another hour or so and I told her are you serious wow I did not hear my dog bark since they had them locked up in the back So I just left outside to wait for him A whole hour and 15 minutes after I go in and they were calling me as I was opening the door and still a mess everywhere. I just saw two girls working there not sure if there was any other ones in the back. There's absolutely no excuse for the grooming area to be that disgusting They should be fired. Someone needs to be accountable. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that after seeing such a mess, I wanted to take a photo of all the hair that was on the floor because it was unbelievable didn't wanna be rude and snapped the photo in front of them But management can go back to the date of Friday, February 6 Can you imagine how the back is? I will never bring my dog here ever again, and my dog has been coming here since about three years ago. As I stepped inside the store, I noticed that it is kept well clean, nice bright lights and pretty well stocked with items I had not seen at my local stores. I was there yesterday buying my pups food and treats. A woman was outside giving free puppy's away when en employee (white lady with short hair) from PetSmart came out to set up tables and canopies. She was extremely rude and viciously screaming at the woman with her pups get out and calling for security as if the woman and her pups were a threat. Totally nasty, screaming those dogs have parvo!! Went to get our cat groomed. Wanted him bathed and trimmed and to check for all the stuff. He doesn't have fleas, we checked multiple times and he's been treated but we found a single flea the other day so they wouldn't take him. Nothing was said when we were making the appointment and they called us about three minutes before the appointment to tell us they wouldn't do it. We were already at the door. Also they have grooming appointments starting two hours before the store opens and there's no obvious way to get into the store to have that done plus they were so weird about letting us in even though we had an appointment. I can understand being strict about fleas, but we booked the appointment days ago and it would've been more professional to let us know a little more than three minutes ahead of time. read more

The lady with the short hair came out and began saying absentees to the mother and daughter began screaming at them saying to get the f:(;k out. Trying to get security to remove them. Can staff and employees be helpful to customers instead of engaging in personal conversations? Or maybe help the other customers aimlessly wandering? I've never stood next to two employees as they were leisurely talking & laughing with one another waiting for help by the aquarium side. I finally had to interject and ask for help which these ladies both looked at me as though I was bothering them. Would have been nice if they asked me what I needed instead of letting me stand there staring at them trying to be considerate of their conversation that never ended. I have been taking my pup June to puppy classes which June and I really enjoy. Our trainer is Dylan which he's an awesome trainer with tons of patience and always takes extra time making sure you and your pet understand the training. I look forward to many more classes with my June bug. I definitely recommend signing up to his classes!!! I think this place needs new management. Every time I go everything looks dirty. I go to get crickets and there are none there, the fish tanks are not clean and there are poor dead fish in there. I can't believe it! I took my dog to this place today to get a bath and brush for just $38, which I thought was a pretty good deal compared to other places. But when my husband picked up our dog, he immediately noticed that our poor pup seemed like he hadn't been washed at all. And when I held our dog, oh boy, did he reek like a wet dog! I recenly took my yorkie/terrier for a furminator bath and close haircut. When I came to pick him up his face hadn't been shaved down nor was his hind end cleared of hair. I asked why and groomer emily tells me that he was too wiggly and she wasn't able to cut his face hair. She took him back in and with assistance of another groomer, managed to shave his hind end but that was that. He didn't smell as fresh as he usually does after grooming either. I always use various petsmart groomers and this was the 1st time i was unsatisfied without much attempt to fix the situation. I absolutely love the staff at this location. The staff listens and makes recommendations based on needs. PetSmart was our go to and our one stop shop for everything when we got our dog. After having our dog for 8 months, we discovered he's sensitive to lots of ingredients commonly found in lots of dog foods and treats. This store was willing to help us by taking back a lot of the merch that we had bought, both opened and unopened merch. Since my dogs allergy diagnosis, we have to give him prescribed dog food (Royal Canin, Select Protein PR) and limited ingredients treats that this location (or any of the ones in the area) do not have in-store for my dogs new diet. I tried to keep PetSmart by doing auto-ships for the food but after one bag delivery, the auto-ship was canceled due to lack of inventory. I had two of my dogs nails trimmed here, they offered me a package where they would brush their teeth, clean their ears. Nail grind and nail trim for $26. They even put a bandana on my dogs after. The whole process took maybe 30-40 minutes. They weren't able to cut one of my dogs nails because he was too squirmy and anxious so they refunded me $4. A complete joke of a place. Made a grooming appointment with katelyn. She is extremely lazy and will do WHATEVER to get out of doing her job. First called me 30 min prior to my appointment to try and get out of the appointment due to her pregnancy weight limit restriction. Her restriction is 30 lbs and my mini Australian Shepards chart clearly disclosed that she only weighed 20lbs. Then once I arrived for the appointment standing there 9 months pregnant, holding a one year old and my dog on a leash was turned away because she said my dog was "actively bleeding" from her nose. They seem a little understaffed on the floor but thinking that is just a sign of the times and it's not like there is ever more than a small handful of customers at any given time. I'm sad that I have to give Pet Smart a 1 star review because it's only 5 minutes from where I live and I wanted to like it and feel comfortable taking my dog here for his grooming, since our go-to pet shop doesn't have a groomer at the moment. Came here on 8/13/22 at 3:30 pm. This is the second time I've come here with my dog. The girls working in the salon are nice, but the enviornment just feels off to me. They really don't seem to know what they're doing. For instance, they didn't do exactly how I wanted him groomed (i.e. shorter hair). Mind you, I was being specific. At least they made him smell nice though, so I'll give them that much, but that's about it. And what I don't understand is, for all of that, why in God's name did they charge me $88?? There are other grooming salons in SCV I can take him to at a much cheaper price and better service. Never coming back here again!! read more

I have been going to the Petsmart in Golden Valley for years after searching for a groomer for my very abused Nikki...when I walked in a groomer was sitting holding and hugging a little dog who was so very happy, I chose her immediately and introduced her to my Nikki. I have been going there and have had the same groomer...I am actually able to leave while he is being groomed with her, he totally trusts and loves her. All the employees at This location are kind, helpful and professional with their customers. It is a small location but when you walk in they greet you and know who you are. I am so blessed to have them and know that I can trust them with one of my greatest treasures. If you want your animal to be treated wonderful and to have a professional haircut this is the place to go!
