So, this Petsmart has zero beds, crate pads, outfits, etc. for toy dogs. I made a 45 minute drive to go there specifically for a small bed for my chihuahua pup, and their smallest could've held six of her. I ended up trying a guinea pig bed (go figure that they have THAT but nothing for toy dogs). Seriously, if I go to Petsmart, I expect them to carry all the hard to get items for all versions of dogs, not just endless aisles of dog food and toys. Also, while I was there I sought UVB bulbs for my aquatic turtles. No available verbiage anywhere to offer advice on watts, size, and what is best for reptiles, turtles, etc. It was simply a blind grab and the price of these bulbs are astronomical, too. Additionally, their prices ARE NOT cheaper than Amazon. Whomever states that is out of their mind, because the Jumbo turtle pellets are $19.99 at this Petsmart and I can get the exact same version on Amazon for $9.99. Not to mention, Amazon has a thousand more versions of everything to choose from. Customer service was not only lame, it was without a smile. And we garnished that from the 3 employees in the store when we approached them (not the other way around despite our endless search which clearly indicated we couldn't find what we were looking for). All 3 did their duty, but not necessarily happily. We opted for Petsmart to give back to the community, but when they charge double the price of similar items online, reduce variety and options...well, face it folks, you are going to end up shutting your doors due to lack of sales. Be competitive! Do something besides stock shelves with the same old items we can now find at Walmart. It was the most boring and disappointing visit we've made so far when it comes to pet stores. They refused to bath my dog because the date on his vaccination book is hand written. She said if I typed it up or had an email it would be acceptable. Makes no sense to me. Lots of other places to spend my money. Will not return for anything. read more

They do not take care of the animals here. The cats kennels are covered in vomit, pee, spilled food, and dirt. A store full of pet beds run by a multi million/billion dollar company yet they can't supply them with a decent place to sleep? Instead they have one or two puke stained dirty old pillows. You guys have enough money to do better. The least you can do is wipe down the kennels throughout the day. read more

I am very unhappy that my Persian cat was only shaved on half his body due to cat's behavior. Another groomer finished the job and had no problems with the cat at all. I was charged $102 for the incomplete grooming, a ridiculous overcharge. 4Paws Grooming took my cat right away, gave him a cute lion cut, cleaned his ears and face for $30. This location continues to sell critters that require live crickets, yet they are constantly out of crickets. I have emailed Corp with my concerns and NO ANSWER! This is the only business local that sells live crickets and is out 80% of the time. Took my brothers dog Bradley to Alexis Hurley for bath brush teeth and nail trim. She charged me 15.00 extra for weekend near holiday. It's within two weeks of Christmas. And 46.00 extra for her brushing and handling. Told her I have never paid $102.00 for a bath and brush out. She said a lot of people are lax about it at PetSmart and don't charge what they should. In addition to the holiday charges she wanted 36.00 extra for brushing him out. This girl is into Holiday Customer gouging. Told her I normally top 20 bucks but she is getting 0.00 for holiday greedy price gauging. I even supplied my own shampoo and cream rinse. After a really bad grooming elsewhere, I booked an appointment for my Sheepadoodle just for a bath and brush to see how they did. We booked with Tina, and she was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. She mentioned some matting on his legs, which I knew because he hates to have his legs brushed. She said if she used the Chi conditioner, she could probably work them out. The Chi package was well worth the price, as the mats came out, and he was super soft and shiny. Then I booked a full groom with Tina, and she did exactly what I asked for--even showed me pictures of different lengths. I will continue taking my dogs to Tina, as long as she is at Petsmart. It does cost a little more than I was paying, but so worth the cost. read more

I went in the other day to get my dog treats and a worker, mind you, commented on how ugly my dog was and that he looks like "n*gg*r". Yes dropped the hard R too. When I said excuse me? She continued running her mouth about both my dog and my 2 year old daughter making snarky comments about how my two year old looks like a little boy. This is all after she asked to buy drugs from me and me saying does it look like I sell drugs? I never plan on taking my business to petsmart after this encounter. The workers name was destiny. She had piercings and black hair, pretty short, definitely disgusted by the people they allow to work at a PET STORE. Absolutely was unacceptable and disturbing. I left before even buying anything otherwise I would've been regretting causing a scene with my daughter with me. Luckily trash isn't worth the effort but petsmart needs to definitely reconsider their staff. I'll be contacting corporate tomorrow. read more

Their grooming salon likes to just decide when they are going to be open or closed based in the way their groomers are feeling, especially on weekends. I have been taking my dog to them to have her nails trimmed since she was a puppy and lately when I've taken her on a Sunday to have her nails trimmed, the salon has been closed. There is nothing on their website saying that the salon hours are different. I work during the week so I can only take her in on weekends. The management needs to make sure that someone is available in the salon to make sure that the customer is taken care of. I will never go back again. This is ridiculous. read more

I've been taking my dogs here for almost 4 years now and they are priced very fairly. The groomers at this PetSmart are really awesome! I took both of my dogs for a bath, skin treatment, teeth brushing, and nail clipping. The final cost was $79. That blew me away because I was prepared to spend at least $125. This was money well spent because my dogs hadn't been bathed in a bit and I'm not comfortable with teeth brushing. They were ready when they said they would be and my dog's were so happy. read more

Often have good deals on pet stuff but otherwise they are very expensive for food. This store is always clean, employees are polite and helpful. On one occasion we had someone catch a bala shark and she tore the poor thing up so badly it didnt recover. i usually don't ever take the time to leave reviews, but after experiencing the service that we did today with Mia at Petsmart in Sierra Vista I just had to. As a Christmas present my daughter asked for a hamster and after doing some research we went into Petsmart today to finally pick out my daughters hamster along with all the necessities that the little critter would be needing. Mia was extremely patient and kind and super helpful throughout the entire process while answering the additional questions that I had about hamsters and also being patient with my super excited children . I've never been at such ease with taking in my little ones to a pet store nevertheless feeling super guided throughout the process of adding a new addition to our family. So far I've been to 3 different places to groom my dogs and petsmart has been the only one to actually do the full grooming. They are amazing, friendly, and patient with my puppies. Other places skipped on brushing, de shedding, trimming, and even properly cutting their nails and PetSmart has not let me down. The price is worth it! read more

Petsmart has alot of variety of products. However, when I went to buy fish ( memorial day sale going on) I was told that they were advised to tell customers not to buy the fish as they were being treated for ick and fish rot. They would not give a rain check for the fish or discount the treatment needed. I recommend that you go to another store. This means going to Tucson, but when a store orders more fish..then puts them in with the sick fish you have to wonder how intellegent the "professionals" are read more

I am extremely upset because I made a much needed appointment a week ago for our Shih Tzu to be groomed. I told the groomers right off the bat that she doesn't like it. She's nervous, wines, wiggles etc. I told them that it might take longer because of this. About 30 min after I dropped her off, I received a VM message telling me she was too stressed and pooped several times and that I need to come pick her up because they won't be able to do anything today. I was furious!! Are you kidding me? They obviously don't train their groomers for antsy dogs at all! I'm sure not all dogs sit there all nice and pretty without moving one iota! I got the manager involved when I got there and he agreed with the groomer that I would have to bring her back another time. Hello! wake up! she's "always" going to be this way! The store is fine. Like most Petsmarts, they have a large selection of items for a decent price. However, their groomer is horrendous. When we dropped our Beagle off for her appointment, they originally told us it would take two hours (which is ridiculous), but when we showed up at the two hour mark, we were greeted by an oblivious employee who kept asking us if we had been called and told that we could pick up our dog. We told her that we had not and that it had been two hours. It took them forever to find out who was even grooming our dog and with their frantic running around, it was clear that they hadn't even started. When we got back into the car, our dog was still wet and her nails were cracked from the apparent rush job. When we got home, she was so thirsty that it was obvious they didn't even give her any water during the more than two hours she was there. read more

Had it not been for my last time there I would have given this place 5/5 stars. I took my dog to get groomed (bath, cut, teeth, nails, anal glands etc) regularly for 8 months every month. She always came out looking adorable with a little bandana for the season. This last time: I was getting my HHG picked up and called a week prior stating I NEED an appointment (so she didn't freak out when the movers were there/she needed the cut). I was told "no problem at all". Or so I thought... Anyone in the military knows the movers come between 8am and 5pm, so you have to be home. I made the appointment for 7:30am (I lived right near it). I got there right on the dot... And waited... I pushed the before hours doorbell... And waited. Someone let me into the shop to let me know the groomers wouldn't be there until 8... Wonderful. Like I said, I was being patient so it wasn't a HUGE deal since I lived 2 minutes away. Luckily, a groomer got there at 7:50- yeah, she said my dog didn't have an appointment scheduled at all. Even though I had called and booked one... I understand that things happen but really?! Anyway, I kinda said look you're taking her and they did. I apologize for being stressed but movers were calling me and I had to not have my pup around. They were very accommodating in the fact that they took her "without an appointment". When I picked her up... Good Lord her hair was a MESS. She was shaved up until the top of her head. It was a disaster but I'm glad she was fitted in. Talked to another pet owner and was told they drug dogs/sedate them without owner consent (not sure if that is true) but I know my dog and something was wrong. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR PET'S GROOMING! We had an 8am appointment for our dog, when we dropped him off we were told it would be between 3 ~ 4 hours. At noon (4 hours later), not hearing from them, we went there in person and were told by the groomer who was supposed to do our dog, Lisa S, that they had a problem with another dog and had NOT been able to get to ours. WTF! We called for the store manager, who went into the back and got our dog, and then this "manager" tried to twist things and told us the problem was with our dog......WRONG! My ragdoll cat has a medical condition that requires her to be shaved every 6 weeks. Her former groomer's business closed, so decided to try PetSmart. Lisa S is her current groomer, and I am very pleased!!! She is very caring and attentive to my "baby girl's" needs and my requests. Everyone at the check in counter is courteous and very personable. We have taken our dogs to Petsmart 3 yimes a year since it opened. We made an appointment indicating we had someplace to be and needed to drop off early. We arrive and are told we need the rabies cert for one of our dogs. We should have been told when we made the appointment. We come back and now they have computer problems and can't take the dogs. We went home. This is the last straw in a series of poor service. UPDATE: Store manager did offer free service as compensation. read more

I have been to many Petsmarts in the past, also I worked at one for three years previously and this is the worst one by far. Employees act as if they don't want to be there. I tried to ask a woman where the potty stations where at and she kept looking down at her work and when I finally found a station there were no paper towels or spray (I know they are supposed to check those every single night before closing). I was also there another time previously stuck in a line of at least 10 people (Supposed to call for backup at 3) and I could see at least three other employee at the fish wall, just talking and laughing.
