Dropped her off at 10am with Matt, the email came through at 11:30 saying all done. I was waiting in the ~. So I called at 1:30 asking why no called and was told "they were too busy. I picked her up at 1:45. THREE AND A HALF FREAKING HOURS. I asked for a manager, the guy said I am the manager so I laughed. Thn they act like they coyldnt find her. It took several minutes to bring her out. Her cut face tells me why. I believe he tried to covet up the issue, tried to rush us out, did not charge us, then said we could never come to their grooming store again. I still plan to follow up. Legally if necessary. Worst treatment ever experienced. She's been in my lap all day. Clearly traumatized. read more

I went in today, as a walk in. And Lara and Carlie squeezed me in. I was super grateful. And not only that they allowed me to schedule my other dog for a nail clipping same day. It's really hard for me to get down there, which I didn't even mention. And they did this without even pointing out that they were not taking in walk-ins today. I just happened to notice the sign. Sooooo done with this PetSmart! Signed up for a 6 week class...had one class, one person didn't show and the one other person that did had to discontinue after the first week so I had to wait another 2 weeks to get into another class that was starting. Had one MAYBE two other classes with this group and I get a call that the trainer is sick. So I go the next week and show up and no one is there. Never received a call or anytghing. Great courtesy and respect for the clients who take time out of their busy schedule and show up ready to learn and train. Talked to an employee and there was no manager on duty. I received no call or and apparently the trainer is out for a while. I want a refund and will never step foot on that store again. I've spent hundreds there in the past three month. The groomers never smile or greet you when you walk in and look like they hate their life. One cashier never gave me my merchandise after bagging and had to ask for it. Such a pity because it's so close to home and I put my trust in them for multiple services. I will gladly take my money, time, and energy elsewhere and support local businesses instead. read more

Tried to bathe our dog here and just couldn't do that to our dog. $20 and the tub was filthy, they would only give us two little old rags that smelled like mildew, they made me buy a bottle of shampoo, and they were unbelievably rude. Horrible. read more

Disappointed that their grooming needs to be booked weeks in advance here. It would be great to have more times available. This location is closest to my home. They are dogs and it's hard to plan their grooming. Sometimes they play nice outside and don't get too dirty, other times not so much. Huge pain! read more

This PetSmart Groomers is by far the worst I have ever encountered. The staff is rude and does not care for their customers. It seems like a profit flipping salon rather than what I am used to with other PetSmart locations. My little dog went to the location in Jacksonville, FL for 4 years. She is a miniature Border Collie only around 35lbs. In Jacksonville I never had an issue or price change in 4 years, it was always around $48. This location has hiked my price up 3 times, over $60 now, and every time I come back they make me feel like I am nothing but an ATM machine for them. I am moving my pet across the street from here on out to another dog spa. DO NOT GET BETH if you do decide to go. She is very unpleasant and tries to guilt trip you into more money. read more

We purchased a discount coupon book from Petsmart hoping that it would be useful in our house of 5 dogs and especially for our new puppy. One particular item was for a free puppy bath. The fine print does say for puppies five months or under and we were aware of that. Our pup was a couple of days into her sixth month when we got her and PetsMart required us to wait another two days after her rabies shot. We called the St. Petersburg PetsMart to schedule a free puppy bath and discussed the fact that she had just turned six months. The PetsMart employee told us that it would not be an issue and they would honor the coupon. We scheduled the bath for 48 hours after her tables shot as requested. We dropped her off for her appointment along with her shot records with the coupon stapled to it, in plain sight. When we went to pick her up we were informed it would be $64.00. Again the coupon was shown and that we were told on Friday that the store would honor it. We explained our previous conversation and the assurance of it being honored on Sunday (48 hrs). We were then informed that the person we talked with on Friday was no longer employed by PetsMart. The manager on duty pretty much didn't want to listen to our plight. We were also up charged another $20 for additional services that I stated were not needed but apparently the clerk didn't hear upon checkin. I can take partial blame for not reading everything I was signing when dropping off the dog. But in the long run, why did the check in employee not observe or react to the coupon directly stapled to the shot record? Why would the store not honor an employee's claim that the coupon would still be honored? Why add upgraded services when they were verbally told it wasn't needed? We explained that we often shop at that store and in fact had spent $63 there on the previous day. We typically purchase our dog food there, the quality brands as well. But no more, it's off to their neighboring Royal Pets and Chewy. Seems so silly to lose a long time customer under she circumstances but if you can't trust PetsMart's word so be it. read more

This is a Walmart of PetSmarts... I've seen a shirtless gentleman making purchases at the counter before. It's rough to find any help in the isles during the week (my fav time to go shopping). I only come there for their self dog washing service. Honestly the best part! I love the raised tubs with doors for dogs' easy access. I like that there's only one hose to use and shampoo and water switches with a click of a button. I'm in and out in 10 min or less. I wish they would allow more than one towel per dog customer as my large poodle has very thick hair and one thin medium towel just doesn't do the job... Since the grooming opens at noon, one can't really use the self-wash, since there's nobody to provide you with the towels. I've attempted and was unsuccessful in finding anyone who could help me. If you don't need their self wash or another service, I'd drive down to the location on Park Street. Much nicer experience. read more

We came in with our 5 year old little brother to adopt a black kitten we saw was available at around 3:30 during the day. We were told that we would have to return at 6:30 for a member to be able to have an appointment for us seeing as the cats do not belong to PetSmart. We called to setup the appointment, left the name, name of the cat, and even the color description. So we returned around 6:30, and the lady comes out of the back and asks "You're the one that called earlier?" I confirmed my name and she asks "Orange cat correct" and I let her know we planned on seeing the black one. The lady instead allowed a group who also wanted this cat to go ahead of us (by her own choice) and did not even allow us to view the cat we set up and appointment for, as we were instructed to do. To the disappointment of myself , my father, and my 5 year old brother who had been told he was getting a cat today, we decided to leave. Overall a horrible and lazy experience , a frustrating amount of time wasted, and just generally left a bad taste in our mouths. In my opinion, visit a local shelter instead. read more

While I understand disappointing Santa pictures from the previous reviews, it isn't exactly an indication of the actual store environment and team. They don't specialize in this so it isn't fair to have a horrible rating based on a free service only offered once a year. read more

The store is fine, except on more than one occasion the grooming salon was closed and the staff had left before the hours specified on their website!! On one occasion an employee even said "oh yeah sometimes they just leave early" (???) Extremely frustrating. Don't post set hours or offer walk in services if you don't abide by them... read more

I have returned to the Petsmart several times since Christmas. The service is been great the products are wonderful and maybe they went through some growing pains at Christmas but they've definitely exceeded expectations since then. read more

I went to have a free Christmas photo with Santa and my puppy taken. I expected that I would be able to download the photo from the internet where PetSmart posted it. Instead, there were links to Twitter, Pinstrest, and Face Book. I do not use Twitter or Pinstrest. I also did not wish to post iton Face Book, have Pet Smart as a linked app or encourage Face Book to be a conduit for constant PetSmart advertisements. I decided to try the the link to Face Book although I would have to spend a lot of time altering settings. It did not work. I feel that the free photo offer was deceptive as I was not able to access a download in order to get a hard copy. I feel the entire entire experience was deceptive and am sorry I went to Pet Smart. Next year, I will go to Royal Pet which does require a purchase, but there are many nice items of varying costs. I end up with a nice photograph there. read more
