Absolutely unprofessional Brittany. I took my dog to this location for grooming for the second time. He was over due for a haircut and we've been at our property where he's been running and rolling around. When I booked the appointment I said in the notes that he had some matting which I stated again in person at drop off and let the person checking him in that he was fine to be shaved down because of the matting and understood if there would be an additional charge, which there was. When I picked him up his groomer Brittany said she had to shave him down because of the matting which I for a third time acknowledged that I was aware of. On our way out the door she said quite loudly, twice that I heard, how "horrible" my dog's fur was with other customers in the waiting area. I was very aware of his coat and did not need to be shamed by her in front of others. Our previous visit went great but of course that groomer no longer works there. Professionalism is lost on people in service these days. So unfortunate. read more

My elderly mothers dog jumped out of the cart (yes her fault) and hit his head, my mother said he was screaming his head off and eyes were rolling in back of his head and thought he was going to die, This all happened near that VET clinic, some came over and asked "he okay?" They wouldn't touch him, examine him, nothing! Luckily some old man came and helped my mothers dog to see if he was okay Let me get this Straight, a dog gets injured in the store, in front of a bunch of Vets/texchs/workers and y'all's response is "is he okay? You should call your vet and get him checked" How about YOU call your vet and or if you were when this happened EXAMINE if the poor dog is okay! I understand you're all about $$$ but where is the human decency? Imagine someone getting hurt as a doctor and having strangers giving more assistance and you chime in "you should go see your doctor!" read more

The Girls in the front are awesome, but the groomer did a shitty job! My poor dog hard telling what happened when he was back there!! He has patches of hair that were not cut, smelled worse than when he went in. Did they even use shampoo?? Going to take him to the Vet to see if they expressed his glands. Ugh. The blonde girl in the fish department wouldn't sell us a goldfish when we told her it was going into our fishbowl. (She said it would need a full filtration system to live its fullest life. That's super stupid, but alrighty... We went two isles over and picked out a whole new tank that had a filtration system.) came back to the fish, told her again that we want a goldfish. She said, "I'm not selling you a fish to go into that tank. It will need to be at least 30 gallons." Really? There are 50 goldfish stuffed into her 5 gallon tank and we can't buy 1 fish for ours? She sold 20+ goldfish to the couple ahead of us to FEED TO THEIR TURTLE. But okay. Whatever. We left, went to Petco, and purchased a little 36¢ goldfish NO QUESTIONS ASKED. We named him Ceviche and he will live his best life in our brand new fish tank with a FULL FILTRATION SYSTEM lol!! read more

So the lady who added services for my dog was wrong for doing that because they didn't call me to ask me if it was okay or that, they recommended it for my dog. So initially it was supposed to be $95 but because she made a decision to add services to my dog it was $125 which isn't OK to do. I mean you don't go take your car to get services and then they tell you that they added services because the car needed it w out hour asking you or letting you know. and then they give you an extra bill charge. you don't do that. Wow. I did. OT realize the markup pricing that petsmart does. I paid 51 dollars for prescription cat food that I paid 36 dollars previously at a vets office and that is for sale in a larger bag for 25$ online. The collar that I bought sells for 9.99 online and 15.99 in store. I realize that online will always be cheaper but I paid nearly 80$ for an 8lb bag of cat food, a small bag of treats and a pheromone collar. If I had realized that before I stood in line for 10 minutes, I probably would have gotten it elsewhere. read more

I came in here after my puppy got spayed at a different location in Temple. The surgery center did not provide me with a cone-of-shame so I drove over to Petsmart to see the selection. The staff was incredibly friendly, my dog puked all over the floor, and they continued to help me find the right cone for my pup. This location is fantastic with amazing customer service. This rating is mainly for Pet Connection (cat adoption). We have three cats we have adopted from them . The lady in charge, Mary, is a wonderful big hearted lady! One of our kitties came home not feeling well, Mary was quick to send us meds ! She loves these cats/kittens so much she can tell you their backgrounds well. The cats/kittens are all up to date on vaccines, fixed, and microchipped . They are also socialized in their foster homes which is very helpful. Mary is very knowledgeable and wiling to help with questions even after adoptions. These kitties are from shelters or brought to them from people who find them , so you will be rescuing a kitty who really needs you ! I brought my two dogs in on Sunday. One to get a bath and the other for bath and grooming. When we got them home they were very groggy and wouldn't get out of their beds and they didn't want to eat their food. It wasn't until today (Tuesday) that they were back to normal. I cannot say enough good things about Meagan Johnston, Practice Manager at the Banfield Pet Hospital in the PetSmart at Temple, TX. My son recently moved and needed prescription dog food for his Lab. Because my son is deaf and has asthma and other respiratory complications, he is not leaving his home during this time (COVID-19). I contacted PetSmart and spoke with Meagan and she was able to suggest ways to get the help we needed - in LESS THAN 30 MINUTES! Took my 3 Mini Schnauzers to get groomed and they are an "unruly" bunch-high pitch barking, knocking displays of yummy snacks over, harassing the poor Guinea Pigs, marking of numerous areas (I cleaned with the convenience of the Opps stations)...JUST complete chaos! And even though we caused quite a disturbance entering and exiting the store the employees remained kind and friendly. As far as the groomers, they were also very kind, knowledgeable about the cut of the breed, and most importantly trustworthy-usually I stress over the safety/treatment of my dogs while the are being groomed. But after meeting with the grooming staff I was at ease. Not only did they do a fantastic job but they were done in 2 1/2 hours. I am so pleased with Temple's PetSmart and will continue to go there for all my pets needs! read more

Clean store. Employees are always friendly and ready to help. Puppy classes are pretty good, Wendy is very nice and you can tell she loves dogs. I give it four stars because I was very disappointed when I found out that I paid $43 dollars for 15 lbs of dog food, but 30 lbs of exact same product are offered by Petco for $43.99. This PetSmart is a great place to shop with a clean and organized store. I love coming here but over the years one huge problem remains and that is the manager named Joan. She is always rude and hateful toward her employees and is extremely rude when she is asked for help from others. I was glad to see last time that she was no longer the fish area manager but when I walked in to the store recently I saw her and once again she was griping at a girl about how bad of a job she was doing. I of course had an issue with a price and she rolled her eyes at the cashier and argued that the price was right even though it clearly wasn't. PetSmart needs to fix this because this is really turning me off from coming in. read more

We are from out of town and made our lab an appointment for a bath. My husband took him in and was told that his shots were not up to date. He had his current shot records with him and it clearly stated he was not due until 8/2019. They referenced a Temple city ordinance. Our dog is also in the Petsmart computer system as we use them where we live. Temple Petsmart turned him away. He went to a nearby pet grooming store and they took our dog, accepted his current shot record and did a great job grooming him. We will not use Petsmart again. Very disappointing. read more

Everyone is so nice here. The store is clean and organized well. I took my pup there to get groomed once. I had recently took him elsewhere, and the groomer was not professional in any aspect. So I switched groomers and came here. They were so friendly and what you would expect from a pet groomer. They made me feel comfortable leaving him there. They bathed my puppy and gave her a haircut. When I got home I noticed her licking around her private parts so I looked and I found two rather large completely bald spots that were red and irritated and extremely tender to the touch below her butthole. I called and they said they shave around the peri area for sanitary reasons and I informed them that this was a good 3/4 inch away from any part of her peri area and my puppy has two random bald spots on her butt that she keeps licking and all they could say was "I don't understand what you are saying but you can bring her in and have our vet look at it". Needless to say, I will be finding another groomer and never recommending Temple petsmart grooming to anyone. read more

The girl at the register gave me store credit instead. Then I had to stand there for 10 minutes while she found her manager who told me that there was nothing they could do as it was in the system. We bring our pug here for grooming. Every single time, they get water in her ears and she ends up with an ear infection. Last visit, just a couple of weeks ago, my husband told them not to wash her head at all. Two weeks later and we are at the vet for one of the worst ear infections I've ever seen in a dog. It cost over $100 for the vet and medications. I never get water in her ears when I wash her. Why is it such a problem for these people? Never again! read more

I took my 2 dogs to this particular PetSmart to have them bathed. I purchased the minimum package which includes a bath, ear cleaning and nail trimming. The nail trimming was my main objective. To begin with the lady taking my dogs to the back ran both of them into the pole that comes below the table. We started to not even leave them after we saw this carelessness but we did. When we returned to pick them up 3 hours later the lady informed me that they did not trim the nails because the dogs wouldn't cooperate. This was a huge disappointment. Even after telling the person that was the main reason we did this, there was not even a small discount offered even though they didn't do the service. Later that night I noticed my dog limping and found that her lower leg was swollen. Looked like a huge knot. Monday morning I take her to the vet to be examined. They said the injury could have been caused by a trauma but would not say for sure. I believe it was. I take my dogs in for a $30 bath and pay $152 at the vet because of PetSmart's carelessness. We will never return to this store and I feel they need some training on how to handle a dog so they can trim their nails. read more
