I took my senior yorkiepoo who had a cough here. I was on a budget had looked up low cost vets in Temple ahead of time and this one was on the list. It started off smoothly enough when we went in, the staff was very friendly. Went to the back and met with the tech to give the basic info and all his symptoms without a hitch. The vet came back and confirmed everything was very friendly at first. She started to tell about all the things it could be. A viral cold, irritated throat, collapsed trache, heart failure, flu, pneumonia, etc. Then she started to list all the testing and X-rays that she wanted to do right away. Once I informed her that I was on a budget however she became livid and started saying that he had heart failure and was going to die. That she would prescribe meds and practically flew out of the room all the while muttering to herself. Went to check out and what do you know the bill which was due all at once was exactly the budget I told him I had down to the penny. Mind you my dog saw only looked at and given meds that's it. Needless to say after a few days of no change after seeing the vet I took him to another vet. My dog ended up having a upper respiratory infection. Heart failure were useless for this. Never going here again. Highly recommend a second opinion if you had your dog seen here. They are just after as much money as they can squeeze out of you. read more

Told me to bring her when we were ready for her "to peacefully go to sleep." It took me a while to accept it but I finally made the appt. I thought I would be o.k. We took our two dogs to see these folks to establish care after moving down here recently. Everyone was super friendly from the time we walked in. We had already had our old records sent to them so it made for a much smoother transition. We saw a great vet tech ( whose name I can't remember ) then Dr. Boedeker spent a really long time going over some ways to improve our dogs physical and emotional health. This move has been hard for them. She was very caring and knowledgeable. I replay appreciate that she was able to give us information on studies and research to back up her advice. I was impressed with everyone we came in contact with. We returned two weeks later to have our dogs annual teeth cleaning under anesthesia. I know this is necessary for X-rays but I miss our previous clinic's ability to do a non- anesthetic dental cleaning. Also, I felt that fees here may have been a bit higher than where we were before, but we are closer to Austin. And I will pay however much for good care for my fur babies. I met the other partner when we went to pick them up after the teeth cleaning, and he was equally polite and knowledgeable. We had an appointment today and arrived on time with our two dogs. We were greeted promptly by the nicest vet techs and put into an exam room. From this point on, we waited one entire hour past our appointment time to see Dr. Blackstone, but he never showed his face in the exam room - nor did he, in any way, acknowledge that we were there. Inquiries as to the whereabouts of Dr. Blackstone were all met with negative results, so we left - AFTER being charged for our visit [remember, we never saw the doctor]. This is an unreliable clinic, and I would highly suggest - that if you love your animals - take them to a doctor who cares about them as much as you. Unfortunately, this is not that place. I am so upset over how ignorant the people are at 363 I will probably never go back. They are keeping the doors locked to prevent having more than one person at a time in the waiting room. Great, I can appreciate that. But then none of the doctors or employees use PPE at all. So I ended up being exposed to every customer that came in prior to me. STUPID! COVID-19 "It has a 1% death rate and it is highly transmissible, features that were considered to be highly unlikely for any new emerging disease we thought we might face. Such features represent the worst possible realistic scenario that we could envisage and lie at the very limit of what we thought we should expect. So the pandemic we have got now is about as bad as we thought it could ever get. It is a very sobering prospect." And, much more importantly, what questions do we most urgently need to answer over the next six months? Answers from researchers and doctors should tell us how we might survive one of the worst crises to affect humanity in modern times. Our fur baby was very sick. After taking her to Texas Veterinary Hospital 3 times with no results and very poor treatment by Vet and his assistants we went to Loop 363 Animal Hospital. She diagnosed our Sophie almost immediately. After taking X-rays to verify her diagnosis we found out she had a tumor in her liver and she was suffering very much. She was panting so heavily because the liver was pressing on her heart. We had to put our baby down. I don't know when we will recover, if ever. Thank God we still have our Sadie but she's 15 so she'll probably leave us soon but I hope not under the same circumstances. Thank you Dr Boedeker for your knowing how much Sophie meant to us. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. First of all expect to wait for awhile even if you have an appointment. Then once you are seen, vet and vet techs are extremely pushy and judgmental. Our dog has extreme allergies so we have to feed her a grain free diet, to which we were chastised for. They were also extremely pushy when it came to vaccines and well as medication, all of which is extremely over priced at this establishment. So we decided to order the medication through chewy.com. However, when chewy reached out to the vet for verification they told them we HAD to purchase it though them. Luckily I have since found it at a different location to purchase these items because I will not give these people my money anymore. They do not care about the animals and simply only care about money. I do not suggest taking your pets here unless you like wasting your hard earned money. read more

I have an English bulldog, and if you know the breed, you know you need a veterinarian who truly understands their many issues. Dr. Blackstone and his staff have done a great job taking care of my dog. He loves going to Loop 363 Animal Hospital and I wouldn't take him anywhere else! Dr. Blackstone examined and treated a small spot on my dog's head that had been inflamed for quite some time--gone within a week. The technicians are always able to get my dog to relax and almost enjoy having his nails trimmed. I've been moving about in the last few months and whenever I need paperwork taken care of, Dr. Blackstone and his staff are most helpful and handle it immediately. I have tried to speak with management on multiple occasions since the clerk was so rude to me about the issues my puppy is currently having after his boarding here a few weeks ago. He was diagnosed with stress colitis as soon as we returned home, and the clerk became very defensive saying that it's not their problem since my dog is "hyper." I even explained that I'm still waiting on lab results from the fecal matter sample I sent off yesterday (from a different clinic) after his antibiotics were finished, and the clerk rudely hung up in my face! This has been such a terrible experience dealing with this, and NOBODY has bothered to resolve my complaint. I just hope this place gets better staffing one day, because this is not the way you conduct business in a professional manner. read more

They greet her by name on arrival and she is given the royal treatment. The Vets and Techs listen to what I have to say, including my worries and concerns. They provide great advice for training my dog, as well as give examples of what I can do to keep her comfortable and happy in her twilight years. They lay out all of the options available for care so that you are well informed. They recommend the least intrusive care plan. After she passes, I will be getting another dog, and I will bring him/her straight to Loop 363 Animal Hospital for their first check up. read more

Though this was not the usual place we take our pets... it was convenient to our house. We had a dying 18-year-old beloved kitty that needed to be euthanized to stop her suffering. I called at 10:30am and asked if they could accommodate us. I was told they could get us in, but we needed to arrive by 11:00am as they were on a tight schedule. We arrived at 10:50am, called as instructed (due to COVID) and let them know that we were in the parking lot. I called at 11:30am to ask about the wait time. We were told we were next in line and that in 10 minutes we would be called inside. After over 1 hour of waiting in the parking lot with our precious cat struggling to breathe and live, my husband called another nearby vet. They got us in immediately. Toward the end of this heartbreaking ordeal at the other veterinarian's office... 363 Loop Animal Hospital FINALLY called and said they were ready for us to come inside. read more

We have been going here for 3 months and the receptionists, vet techs and the vets themselves (we have seen both the vets that work in this animal hospital) have been kind, informative, easy to work with and overall wonderful. The prices are reasonable and they have coupons readily available for both money off your visit and discounts on preventative services. They are always available to answer questions when I call as well and I've never felt pushed to pay for a treatment I didn't feel necessary. (I had this issue with a vet years ago and it's SO uncomfortable!) Very happy I gave them a try! If you're thinking about it, they have $20 off your first visit on their website right now! read more

This clinic is just not very good. The staff is not friendly at all. This blonde haired man is rude every time I come in. The first experience wasn't as bad as the second. The doctor comes in and barley explains to me on how to treat the certain reason why we came in. Was not very friendly to me. Nice to my cat though. Before she left. Gave us no instruction on what's next and just said we'll get in touch with you and just left. Just don't really recommend them. You can get treated better somewhere else. read more

No customer service for his patients. No compassion that his patient was separated from his owner. Told us to take the dog to the shelter because he was open only every other Saturday. The website, voicemail and front door says open 9am-12pm Saturday. Hey doc where is the "other" word listed. I am APPALLED at the treatment I received from Catlen (sp?) and Hailey at this clinic today. Dr. Blackstone has been our vet for I believe 2 years. We have spent a ton of money here, bringing our beloved dog in for every little concern. We followed the advice of Dr. Blackstone & took our baby to A&M Vet for speciality care spending almost $1000 in one visit there. We buy all his monthly meds for heartworm & flea control from them at outrageous prices, knowing we can get them online much cheaper, but also trusting that vet clinic can guarantee the quality of their product. I tell you all of this to make a point that we do NOT neglect our dog & we ARE perfectly capable of meeting his needs. This month, we had extra expenses and cannot afford an extra vet visit. My dog is having a minor, non emergent problem, but he is very uncomfortable as a result of it. I called seeking advice for things I could do at home to relieve him until I can get him in for actual diagnosis & long term treatment. I've had animals my whole life & no vet's office has EVER denied giving advice for home remedies. Catlen & Hailey did just that today. Then they very unprofessionally recommended I go pawn something and had the nerve to tell me that I had a pet I was responsible for and I was unable to take care of him and meet his needs! How can they something like that to a repeat client that has more than proven their ability to meet the needs of their pet & shown that they treat their pet just like a child, bringing him in for every little concern? The lack of empathy for extenuating circumstances, the unprofessionalism of their advice & complete lack of concern for my pet's well being by these 2 employees has caused this clinic to lose my business! read more

This place is horrible. I took my cat in to get neutered. Lady at the counter called me and told me I just needed to come in and sign consent forms. So that's what i thought I did. When I came in she never said anything about anything costing extra, just this and that being included. When I came to pick him up 60 dollars for a simple neuter turned into 219 dollars. One weekend, after finding an abandoned, barely alive kitten on my neighborhood sidewalk, I took him to an Emergency Clinic. The ER closed Monday morning and I was worried how I would care for him. I took him to Loop 363 and was thrilled that they could provide the 24-hour care that he needed. The entire staff was super involved in saving this little guy. Vet Techs Michelle and Lorie would take him hope at night and admirably, Michelle ended up adopting him.
