I needed cat food today, so I went into the PetSmart in Tulsa Hills Shopping Center. This is a huge location with every type of pet food you could possibly want. An employee greeted me with a smile as soon as I entered the store and showed me to the cat food section. The aisles were neatly stocked, and the store was very clean. While I was there, I noticed that they also have a veterinarian clinic at the rear of the store. The prices seemed very reasonable compared to other pet food stores and they also offer a rewards program. They ask you for your phone number and every time you buy products from them you build up points which eventually will get you a discount on items in the store. I will definitely go back to PetSmart for more cat food in the future. read more

Never again PetSmart!!! We brought our dog in for a grooming at 8am with the expectation of getting him back in 4 hours. Well.... It's been over 6hours now and our dog still needs another 30 minutes until he is done. What is the point of scheduling in your pet in for a grooming if that appointment is not honored? The groomers said they were over booked today, but that is not the customers problem. We would speak to the manager, but they are not here(shocker). We figure that they did not start on our dog until we called to check on him at noon. There was no charge for the services and the groomers were apologetic but that is un called for on PetSmart's part. We will not be back again. I was a huge Petsmart fan and supporter until I got tangled up with Banfield, the unaffiliated vet inside their stores. I do not appreciate Banfield SCAM TACTICS. I will NEVER step foot in Banfield again and after some consideration, I won't use Petsmart either. I took my 3month old Toy Poodle in for his $38 first puppy trim and nails cut on Sunday. When I picked him up his hair was still quite long & didn't seem to be cut and his nails still scratched; maybe he had a bath; just didn't smell clean&fresh as I thought he would. I brushed his hair on Monday, no problem, but Tuesday morning everywhere he laid was a trail of cut hair all over the floor. I don't see any bald spots yet, but locks of hair are everywhere he lays down. The receptionist was kind and helpful, but I won't go back and neither can I recommend the grooming department in Tulsa Hills. I will be calling for answers today. I like how most of these PetSmart stores are setup the same. I live 4 states away and to run in quickly for just one item is very nice. The staff at the counter answered the phone right as I got to the checkout counter. She was on the phone for what seemed like five minutes trying to help the customer on the phone. When she got off she was super apologetic and kept saying sorry. I just told here that she had great customer service. The only thing negative I have to say is that they didn't have any cats I could look at. lol I like looking at the little guys. :) read more

I usually go to the other location but my dog needed a haircut sort of last minute and that one didn't have any availability in time for when we needed it to be done. Luckily this one still had some time to do it! First of all, it's always so fun to go to a PetSmart because you'll see so many cute fur babies. I think it's so great that you get to bring your pets inside this store with you. Yes, it IS a pet store so it'd be weird if you COULDN'T bring them in, but it's still fun. They have plenty of stuff to buy your dog (not sure about other animals though, but I assume for any kind of pet too). We looked at their collars for a bit and they have really good ones, and a nice variety too. I really liked some of the less standard colors that they carried here, like this teal-ish blue and a lavender! The staff here are also great! A dog decided to use the bathroom inside, and even though the owner started to clean it up for themselves, when one of the workers noticed, they were very kind to (I won't say happy to, lol...) take it over for them instead. The people were also great with my dog's haircut! They even suggested something slightly different from what we normally do (leaving the top of his head a little longer- called the teddy bear cut apparently) and ended up loving the way it looks! I think we'll probably continue to ask for them to cut it that way from now on :). Overall they did a very good job with the grooming, haircut, and also with the nail clipping. Even though I was worried about going to different people for the haircut than the ones we normally use (at the other location) now I know that this location of PetSmart is awesome if I ever need/ want to use this one again. read more

this tulsa hills petsmart really went above and beyond and took care of me. long story, short, had placed an order on-line, through the petsmart app (that is moody, glitchy as hell) for pickup at this store. tried to use several of their "discount" offers, including the ones for milk-bone products. but for some reason, none of the milk-bone products were getting their "discounts" applied when tried to order through the petsmart app. so when went by to pickup my "everything but milk-bone products" on-line order, I mentioned my problem and frustration about the milk-bone products to "sydney" the manager. to my surprise, "sydney" not only apologized for my problems dealing with the stupid, glitchy, petsmart app, which was not her fault, but she went ahead and honored and gave me the milk-bone products discount there in the store. in fact, not only "sydney", the manager, but the other employees were very courteous and helpful. a real welcome surpise and relief that there still exists someone like "sydney" and her staff that actually still care and give a damn about customers and good ole customer service. sadly, there are just more and more stores, businesses, restaurants, etc., that just honestly don't give a crap about their products, service, and how they treat their customers. thankfully this tulsa hills petsmart is NOT one of them. go show them some love and support. tell "sydney", the manager that I said "hi", and that you read my review and wanted to show them some love and support. read more

If I could leave a negative star, I would. I went in today, Xmas eve, and wanted to buy a hamster for my daughter's Xmas gift. I was met with an employee who gave me my options. She proceeded to tell me that I could only buy a $80 cage for a hamster, and that the other ones they had available were for "travel". Who travels with a hamster??? She told me that I needed to provide proof of habitat if I wasn't buying the $80 cage from them. Excuse me?!? For a hamster?!? Best staff ever! Had my Nala girl get treated by them for a long time before she passed away. They even sent flowers and a card to my family. Who else gives amazing costumer service like that because I can't think of anyone who can meet there fantastic and wonderful talent and personality! We have been taking our dogs to this location for as long as I can remember for grooming, and all of our experiences have been relatively positive. The lady in the cat room was very nice, even when we were there to just look at their cats. You could tell that she enjoyed her job and was not just another employee looking to get a paycheck, the cages were always clean and she handles the cats with care. When we had finally decided it was time to adopt one, she made the adoption process very easy and made sure that we had the right cat for our needs. Would recommend! UPDATE: We decided to go back because we felt that we had room for one more baby in our house so we returned and while the lady in the cat room wasn't there one of the managers help us pick out our cat, whom we love very much. I would like to say the brain games class that just finished today was a great experience. Me and Gus enjoyed the class a lot gave us bonding experience plus taught him to spin like a champ. The instructor was top notch will continue Gus's training with her. The area was always prepared and clean. I have been to other stores, such as one's in Norman and OKC, but the Petsmart in Tulsa hills is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Not only are the employees constantly avoiding helping the customer (outside smoking), but the groomers are horrendous. I left my Maltese with them around 10am, didn't hear back.. waited.. until 2:30pm when I called and they stated "We are finishing him up now". I went to pick him up and found them still grooming him (he had multiple small cuts and his ears looked completed untouched) They left an entire paw unclipped and the others all uneven. I highly suggest not going to this Petsmart, for any of the services they offer, unless you are the type of person who likes bad dog haircuts and poor service. Thanks, JH read more

I think they have a very good variety of everything, price wise I think it's pretty good. I like their grooming salon, I think I might bring my pups here. Everything looks clean. We bought filters for our fish tank and we this offer "buy one get one half off". Cashier was very nice and told me that we get points for each purchase and then you can exchange it for treats. So like $2 dollars off for certain amount of points. You do need to register in order to get them. I love to come in and pet some of the dogs we find in our way. read more

This is for the grooming place inside of Petsmart. They cut my dog. His ear bled. They should have at least not charged me. It was a decent sized cut. It took two weeks to heal. I have visited this place twice. On the first visit they refused to listen to what haircut we wanted and instead made my dog look ridiculous. i took my dog for grooming and paid $81.00 before i was able to see him after grooming and my dog looked the same no bath and he looked the same no grooming. i asked them to put spray to make him smell like peppermint or some kind of christmas spray and that was a extra charge and no spray was done. i will never ever take him back very disappointed in their services.... save your money not worth going there!!! read more

We are so impressed with this PetSmart! We just had gotten a puppy from a farm and before we brought her home we ran by PetSmart to get some puppy food and a few toys. I was looking at the Blue Wilderness Puppy Starter kit for $19.95-we love that dog food and this came with a 4.5 lb. bag of dry puppy food, a can of dog food, puppy treats and lots of coupons-$100 value! I was going to just get this but then the BilJack rep, Mark, came up to me and told me about the PetSmart puppy program-for only $20 we would get $15 off the food, tons of coupons for dog toys, collars, dog bowls, and services-including a free bath! So instead of me taking our pup home to bathe, we had her bathed and groomed right there! What a transformation-she was a bit dirty and had fleas from being an outside pup (great pyrenees and anatolian shepherd-her parents guard sheep) and they totally cleaned her up to white and fluffy and smelling good! I didn't even know that PetSmart had all the grooming services they have. Jamie was especially helpful too. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful. This is the best pet store to go to if you care about your animals. Ask for Jaime Mueller. She has all kinds of animals and loves them as much as you do. She is very knowledgeable and very sweet. If I have any issues I can go in and talk to her. She cares about the animals sold from her store and will care about your furry or scaled family members as well. My issue was with the grooming department. First I stood there for a good 5 minutes without being greeted. Then I was told to wait outside. I took my dachshund in for a nail trim and they refused us service because my dog had an accident that they blamed on her being stressed and anxious. Tulsa Hills PetSmart has done her nails before. And granted my dog isn't easily handled for a nail trim and I did forewarn them of this. She said they could try again a different time and I told them that she will be just as stressed and anxious next time because she doesn't like her feet touched and then she said "then we won't be able to see her in the future." So I told her that they have down her nails before and she then said "yea, well I don't think she relieved herself that time." I think this was just pure laziness and not wanting to deal with difficulty than it was anything else. She said it's their policy to not work on dogs with signs of distress and anxiety. If that were the case, then you all would be out of the grooming business because in general, most dogs don't prefer to be groomed. And have you not ever experienced a dog piddling when they are displaying heightened emotions? They do it when they are anxious AND excited. And this was ironic coming from the same girl that was grooming a dog when I walked in that she kept telling the dog to stop biting. So you'd rather get bit than deal with a little pee? And isn't biting a sign of distress? Again, I say this was just her being lazy. It sounds like the girl with orange hair needs to find a new line of work. read more

I do not believe the groomers at this location know much about dogs other than what size blade they should use on them. Every dog is different, some a little more well-behaved than others. But I would assume that in this career you have to deal with even the nervous and excitable ones. The way the lady described my dog as being "aggressive" made it sound that he was just really scared. Apparently he "snipped twice" at both groomers while they were trying to get him into the kennel, which worries me. Oliver, as weird as it sounds, loves being in a kennel and none of the other places I have taken him ever had a problem with that. Normally he goes in, barks and whines a little, calms down. He only ever snips if he's being hurt or if a person is being too physically forceful with him, especially a stranger. I did warn them that the last place muzzled him while clipping his nails, but I'm sure that is pretty common. Most dogs absolutely hate having their paws touched. The lady who was to do the grooming was not very friendly with me at all, so I wonder how she really was with my nervous dog. She called me after an hour and a half to pick him up. When I got there, he was tied to a table just chilling calmly until he saw me. He was ready to go. She was very condescending and short with me. I get it, my dog is frustrating, but obviously they did something very out of the norm for him to act like that. Words of advice: dogs like to be talked to. If they're nervous or overly excited, talk to them calmly, pet them, love them. They can sense frustration. Don't be too physical with them, ESPECIALLY when they are in an unfamiliar place. These groomers should know all of this already. I won't take my dog to a chain groomers again, especially Petsmart. read more

I was searching the many rows of dog food, the countless options when suddenly there appeared unto me a friendly PetSmart employee ready to help! I took my 2lb puppy to get her groomed, ORIGINALLY it was gonna be 27.99 well when I got there they charged me double. It took 3 1/2 hours to do and then they tried cheating me!! I paid for teeth brushing and they argued with me about it until they actually pulled it up. I'm very disappointed, a 2lb puppy should NOT cost $50. read more

I had one of the groomers speak very rudely to me here and almost treated me like I was an idiot. She was very condescending. The grooming salon is too pricey to be treated like that and it makes me wonder how they really treat the animals if they are that rude to my face. I've read other reviews similar to this. Grooming appointments are never finished on time. My dogs last grooming ran 1.5 hours over and they never called me to tell me. I had to call them to find out why my dog wasn't ready. I called the Groomer's to see if they could possibly get my four dogs in with the Groomer for a bath. I wasn't at home so I didn't have an update copy of the Rabies vaccination. They told me they would call my vet and get a copy if there was any problems than they would call me back to let me know before I show up. I drove 45 mins to my appointment. When I got there they informed me they couldn't reach my vet. I asked why didn't you call me to let me know there was a problem like you said you would. They was hoping the could get it at the last minute but couldn't and was going to call me. What? When was you going to call me to let me know after my appointment time? Needless to say the Groomer's dept has horrible communication! I drove 45 minutes into town for a waste of time, if they would've called to let me know they are having a hard time getting a hold of my vet than I could've went by my house and got their vaccinations before I drove 45 minutes into town for no reason. If you like your pet, please don't take them to the grooming salon of Petsmart. I took my puppy today for the first time and I'm really upset. They charge me 40$ to cut his hairs, cut his nails, take him a shower and clean his ears. For his hairs I'm Ok. But my main problem is with his nails. When I got him, his nails were sharp, when I asked them about the reason, they told me because I didn't pay 12$, then they didn't smooth that for me. When I took him to the home, I saw that they one of his nail is broken ( their device was not sharp enough for cutting his nail or they didn't behave good to my pet ), also all of his nail were be in the different size, some of them long and some of them short. When I called the store, they told me because you didn't pay us 12$, then we can not make his nails nice. But I paid for cutting his nails, then they have to cut them carefully and the same size. Took my Rocky in to get him shampooed and groomed for the first time he was in bad shape i didnt know what to expect i booked on- line in advance and made an appointment with Tessa and boy am i pleased with the fantastic job Tessa did!! Rocky looks so so much better groomed bathed nails trimmed and ground ears clean and brushed anal glands done and i gotta different dog! Im going to be bringing my Rocky to Tessa in the future!! Since Christmas, 2014, I have developed a desire to have a fish tank. Lacking knowledge on any fish one might kept in a tank, I did some research on the web before I started acquiring the new little guys. With a small child, although I failed, I tried to avoid the "death-net-walk" (dead fish in the net to flush)! Talking to people who know a product is important to avoid mistakes. And there is said to be but only one employee, who seems to have any knowledge about fish, water testing and apparently even- cats. Well, that is what the man who was before me lead me to think. So, there he and I stood waiting while she was helping another customer with her cat. I waited up to 20 minutes before contact with an employee was made! While waiting I did managed to fight the urge to open up the more than 30 baggies with recently received fish floating in every tank. They were everywhere else, too. On the counter were baggies of fish! On every step of the department's ladder were baggies of fish. I don't easily become impatient. Nor, am I lacking in understanding as to how and why things can't always go smooth in customer service. But witnessing the ladies who would make eye contact with customers without a word was getting to me. Eventually, I spoke to a employee who consulted with a fellow employee about my reasons for being there without resolve. I want to give them more stars because they come across as really knowing...but my experience and learned knowledge has told me otherwise! So whatever advices you're given, please, research the subject. read more
