I had a 30 minute session filled with education. Others who can afford it can opt in for more training but its expensive otherwise i push the rating to a 5 star. More than a dollar per minute is not in my dog training budget. But nothing is wrong with their training they have great staff and lots of tips. read more

Second time visiting this location, highly disappointed, this store vs the one in Hutchinson, MN is a day and night difference in how a successful business should be ran. Shelves in the aquarium area were very low or completely out of stock, majority of fish tanks are empty, despite it being delivery day, still no 55 gallon fluval water heater, had to buy a smaller tank size heater, completely out of rasbora, and only 4 neon tetra left on new fish deliver day. At least they had fish flakes but even that selection is limited, no Hikari bloodworms. Came in for fish left with 1 canister of fish food, either this location is closing or going under a remodel, but I can't see this locations survival if the store remains in this condition for much longer. Waited 15 minites to be assisted with purchase of fish, lady never came back, so I bought the fish food and left. read more

We took our dog in for a trim/ bath/ nail grinding. Paid $140 for the "luxury" package. He came out shaved to the bone (nowhere near the length we had requested) and we did not receive the items that were supposed to be included in said package. The manager said I can come in and get the bandana that should have been included in the package () and that she would talk with the groomer about what happened but no compensation would be available. We feel totally ripped off and additionally sad for our dog who has to be practically naked in these upcoming arctic temperatures. Do yourself a favor and avoid!!! read more

i've been bringing my dog to Petsmart grooming for the last two years since we got her as a puppy and never had an issue and then the last time that I brought her I noticed that they didn't grind her nails. I typically get the pedicure plus which includes grinding, which I thought was weird, but whatever the next time that I brought her in which is about a month apart, and they kept telling me that the grooming salon was closed or that they didn't have enough people, and that I needed to come back or wait in my car for a couple of hours until they could get someone in there and then I decided to reach out to customer service and call and they told me that was flagged for being behavioral due to safety reasons. I never was notified. This has been going on for the last two weeks now playing phone tag between the groomers and the management and customer service have yet to have them reach out to me. I am beyond fed up and on top of that whatever they did to get her to get her nails cut the last time absolutely traumatized my she pulls away. She had an accident on the floor, so regardless of whether or not she was behavioral they should have stopped in the middle of her grooming to tell me that she was unfit to be groomed instead of doing what Lord knows whatever they did to hold her down or whatever to get her to get her nails cut and now I have to deal traumatized dog playing phone tag with terrible groomers and no one will tell me what the hell is going on. Definitely do not recommend which sucks because again like I said, I've been going to them for the last two years. I guess they will be losing my business as well. Do not recommend. Do not go to Petsmart grooming. Also not to mention they randomly close when online they have set hours. They're never open later than it seems like three or 4 o'clock online if I'm not mistaken is six or 7 o'clock at night which sucks because I Work til 3 PM so the fact that I have to call every single time before I bring my dog in there to figure out if they're actually open or not I hope corporate digs into this because something is going on and I hope that if there's anybody else out there that is dealing with something like this that they get looked into it for it because ultimately we are advocates for our dogs because they can't tell us what happened and what didn't happen I will not keep myself quiet and I will keep bringing this up. read more

Took my dog here for the first time. She is a westie, so her fur gets really long. went to pick her up, and I couldn't even see her until after I paid. $80 later, they gave me my dog back, looking exactly the same as she did when I dropped her off... Did not look like they gave her anything but maybe a bath!! Complete waste of time and money. read more

I watched an employee drag my dog across the floor on his stomach with one of those leashes that gets tighter as you pull on it. He was very afraid. Despite having an appointment, he was not finished after 4.5 hours. They said he was too stressed (drooling etc.) for them to finish and told me to bring him back another day to finish. Do not be late for a grooming at the Waite Park Location! I was 28 minutes late for a grooming appointment. The Petsmart Grooming Receptionist told me, with attitude, that I missed my Monday 8AM gromming appointment by 28 minutes. SO...I would have to reschedule for another day. I was also told, no exceptions or accommodations could or would be made. Over the years we have used Petsmart Grooming and have been happy with the service. All it took was one employee, with no customer service skills, to change my perspective. We will not be back. read more

This review is regarding pet grooming. We had been having our dog groomed at Petsmart for seven years. Today they told us she isn't welcome back because she is getting older and it is hard for her to stand. Her appointments take two hours, so I'm sure it does get difficult for her to stand. The lack of compassion we experienced from this business and from Jess, the pet grooming supervisor was sad and so disappointing. If you plan to have your pet grow old with a groomer, don't choose Petsmart! read more

This is where I go to get my kitty treats, toys, and other pet supply needs. There is aa wide range of items to choose from no matter what you are looking for. The Pet Perks card helps to get discounts on items. A must for anyone with three cats. The staff are helpful and friendly. The other day when I had a 42 pound bag of cat litter the cashier asked if I needed help out to the car. I was thankful for that offer. A bad back and shoulder prevent me from lifting too much. It was all I could do to get the litter in the cart and push the cart to the check out. Great service! read more

Regular customer of their grooming services no more. Forgot to bring rabies paperwork said I'd be back in 30 mins that was to long according to the groomer and I'd have to reschedule with a smirk on her face that says I'm eliminating work today. She was the only one in the grooming salon and had already checked another dog in that was sitting in a cage waiting to be worked on. So does it take 3-4hrs to groom a dog like they tell you or does it take less than 30mins and they just stick your dog in a cage so you're more apt to give a larger tip. You have lost an every other month grooming job and at least a $10 tip per groom.. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I forgot to add that this was on June 11 7am out of three dogs checking in only one was allowed to stay and be groomed she was in no way, shape, of form overbooked etc. read more

Nightmare grooming attempt - unless you want negativity and judgment. I am writing to express my concerns about my experience with the grooming staff at the Waite Park, MN store. I had an appointment, which I made online, for today - August 20. When I arrived before 9 a.m. I began to interact with the two groomers who were working. The conversation was fine, and we were discussing the goals I had for the grooming appointment. I mentioned how I found the new online system for scheduling appointments to be very user friendly. This transitioned into a few comments from the staff about how they "hate" the system and it is "stupid." It isn't necessary or appropriate to complain about work related issues to customers, but that is not my main concern. When I explained that I wanted my dog (a St. Bernard mix) shaved, I was quickly told that "it was not recommended." The groomer did explain why and I am not questioning her advice or rationale, however the tone and judgmental approach she used was completely inappropriate. She said comments such as "I mean, if that's what you want, we will DO it, but I don't recommend it." (insert condescending tone) "I wouldn't want you to ruin her coat." "It's not what I would do, here let me show you a picture of what could happen." I was stunned. I didn't make an appointment for judgment or guilt. I did not ask for an opinion. I knew what I wanted and I know my dog. The approach of the two groomers this morning was very unprofessional. It was so negative and filled with judgment that I decided to leave, with no grooming done on my dog. I shared my concerns about their customer service and their tone, only to be treated more poorly. My 9 years of shopping at PetSmart and using the dog training services (which were very good) have come to a screeching halt.
