Ok this place is cool and all but they have there fish in small tanks and say bowls are great for fish. I went here today and they had Oscar's yep OSCARS in what seems as a 10-20 gallon idk? But also there lizards here are also in small tanks and they sell small tanks for everything! I only went there for some mystery snails for my fish tank and the guy seemed so rude! And some of there animals are sick and even dead in the fish part and they do nothing about it! If you go here DONT go to pet supply even tho there fish are in small tanks they don't lie about the sized tank you need. read more

absolutely disgusting. the manager, Gerrick recommended I buy a heat rock for my ball python, which ended up needing an emergency vet visit due to massive third degree burns. turns out the product sold and recommended to me kills reptiles. unfortunately my ball python didn't make it after i lost $400+. never shop at this atrocity of a store and shame on the manager, for his unsafe advice and know-it-all attitude. read more

I have been using this location since 2015 and have always been satisfied. The staff is patient and recently I have been taking our other dog here ( senior) Dog and the groomer is amazing with him. If the groomer is not available they will call me and ask me to reschedule just because they know his history. I am very appreciative of that. read more

I used to go there only because of the convenience of being close to my home but it's not really worth compromising care for convenience . The groomers generally lack the compassion and kindness one expects in a profession like theirs ( I say this as a physician ) . not sure if they are overworked but nevertheless, attending to animals requires a certain amount of inner compassion which I don't see in them . They also manipulate every reason to cancel my appointments often . either saying 10 mins late , groomer has another appointment coming up in 1 hr etc . Today I was on time but had to wait outside as another big dog was getting checked in . I waited 5 mins and peaked in and the other dog gor restless / agitated and my little cavachon got freaked out and after a peak , I stayed out to avoid chaos . one staff saw me enter .It was a solid 8mins before I re-entered . It's a part tranparent/ translucent glass door and several staff saw me waiting outside but when I finally went in after the big dog got checked in , they refused to check in my pet saying I was late ! so much for being considerate. Like that was not enough , the staff tried to validate her decision saying she knew when the big dog got agitated ( that was not even until I checked about 5 mins after waiting to see if the other dog was checked in ) . They pulled the last straw !! very frustrated and disappointed customer ..feeling let down despite being considerate.. if you can , take your pet elsewhere ! read more

I have been coming to the Wyomissing Petsmart since the day I got Prince which was March of last year. I love coming here, whether it is to pick up treats or Prince's dog food. The workers are amazing, friendly and always show Prince love. I have been to other Petsmarts' (some in other states) and they do not even compare! When I am shopping there is always great deals going on and I never feel like I am getting ripped off. Prince has also been going to the groomers at Petsmart since he was a puppy. There is only one person who has bathed him there and only one person I will take him to and that's Katie. She has shown him so much love and always does an amazing job. She takes care of Prince like she was his owner. I highly recommend her to anyone! Petsmart Wyomissing is the best and our favorite place to go read more

I took 2 dogs I'd recently adopted from a shelter who had been together as strays to get their nails done..the staff was wonderful! They made sure they were able to be together when they did their nails as I had told them they are very apprehensive around humans they don't know as they were strays. I was very grateful for their thoughtfulness and they did a wonderful job trimming their nails! I have been taking my other dog that I've had for over 7 years there that has terrible anxiety when getting her nails done there for quite some time and have always had a wonderful experience! read more

Walked into the store #1221 in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania to get a scratching post and nest for my daughter's cat. She recently moved back home and we are trying to get the cat adjusted to new surroundings after 3 years at her previous address. After 20 minutes trying to get assistance I called to an employee but he kept waking away. When I finally found what I was looking for, it was in the bird section, who knew! First let me say I have not had a pet in over 12 years since my beloved lab passed away, so I don't shop for pets. I went to the cashier and she asked if I wanted a pet perks card, since I would probably never use one I said no thanks. When I was rung up, the item was $10 more that what was on the web site. When I said something to the cashier (#220369) she replied "I asked you if you wanted a pet perks card!" Maybe if she had mentioned that the card would have gotten me the discount I would have gotten one. I was so pissed off I had to walk out. When I go to my car my daughter asked if I could get something else for the cat, I knew I wasn't going back in that store. I went a little out of my way and went to PETCO instead where I had no problem finding assistance. Before writing this I went back to the PetSmart web site and the site lists the item at $10 less, with store pickup and no pet perks card needed... Needless to say I would never shop here and will make sure any of my friends and relatives know what kind of store this place real is. *** The above email was sent on 9/17/2016 to PetSmart and a comment was left on the stores Facebook page the same day. ** After sending this to PetSmart Customer Support I received a letter apologizing and that the store would be in contact with me within 24 hours and that they were including coupons in the email. i never had a problem with the store itself, in fact, i have bought a crate and many other things for my shihpoo. i adopted my shihpoo in december and he has separation anxiety but is very friendly to other people and also to all dogs. i made that known when i went to get him groomed. i normally go to petco but i decided to try out pet smart. i brought in my dog and the lady who did my dog was very kind at the beginning and gentle to my dog. when i picked him up, his haircut was horrible. not only was his haircut bad but his nails were cut unevenly and were horribly sharp (i had to file them all the way down at home). she also complained to me about how much he was moving and how anxious he was but she didn't give him the time that was necessary to relax and calm down. i'm not going to put the groomers name because she was very kind. but psa to groomers, if you can't handle a small dog or a dog with PTSD, etc, make that know so us small dog owners know who to book with. 2 starts because i genuinely like the staff at the store but the groomers need more training. read more

Second time I've gotten a "pawdicure" for my dog and have not received all the included services. The first time I thought they had just forgotten and had let it go, given them the benefit of the doubt. My dog has only been given a nail grinding each time. Petsmart is the only store I will shop at for my pet supplies. It is large and carries all the name brands. When I have a question or need help, I can ask an employee and they will know the answer. Very friendly and very knowledgeable! Also, Petsmart supports the local no-kill cat shelter by allowing them to have 5 or 6 cats housed in clean facilities right in the store. They also offer dog training at the store. I would, and do, recommend this pet supply store to anyone. read more

This review is regarding the grooming center: We just got back from having our dog groomed at this location. We have taken her there a few times before, but this time was especially exemplary. Every time we take her for a bath/nail trimming/ ear cleaning she looks wonderful afterwards and is always treated with care, all for about $30. This particular time the two women grooming her found 2 ticks hiding under her collar and removed them for us right away. They also shaved the area to check for any signs of infection or disease, all free of charge. I would highly recommend the grooming team at PetSmart, and don't forget to tip them because they deserve it. read more

I loveeeeeee PetSmart!!!!! They always have everything I need in stock, every single time I go they have their shelves stocked with the things I need. When I moved I started going to Petco and there was a big difference between the two companies. Petco always had stock sitting on the floor waiting for re-stocking (they should try stocking at night) prices were higher and they were changing their brands a lot. So I went back to Petsmart and I rather make the long trip for my dogs needs. The staff is always friendly and that is very important. The employee's from the grooming center know my dog right away and they take good care of him. read more
