This was our first visit here. That morning I arrived on time but unfortunately had misplaced my shot records and I understand that's the policy to have rabies vaccine proof. I was wondering if there was another way i could obtain the records. Which the groomer directed me u should be able to get it from petco, and i did within 10 mins. I honestly did not feel welcomed as the staff and owner barely spoke when I walked in. First thing the groomer said was my dog was big which the booking says if they are over 40 pounds my dog has a lot of hair but is only about 25 pounds so i was puzzled as to what that meant. The groomer stated she was matted and she didn't have time to brush her out so she would be shaved low i told her to do what she needed to do. She charged me 85 for med grooming and 25 for extra brushing which she shaved the dog but ok whatever. I'll give credit where it's due she did a pretty decent job shaving my dog down but etiquette for me is everything. Even as i was leaving after paying the bill the groomer barely said anything as I said thank you . No thanks for business nothing. Needless to say with all the reviews that was positive they couldn't have received the same response as I did being a new customer. Nevertheless I go elsewhere as I'm sure that's not the attitude with other customers. It's not what you say it's how you say it! I'll just say this is not the grooming place for my dog .

Currently my dog is being trained as a service dog, and I was ecstatic that I was able to get him started on his first task in my first session! I feel like they took great care in evaluating my dog for themselves and taking my own experience into consideration. I have been able to use things I've already taught my dog to further his training and it's even made me feel more confident as a dog handler. I love that they're a local business, and that they build a real connection with your pet. My dog who's usually aloof with people enjoys their company and even listens to them when I'm around which NEVER happens. I feel like their training methods are fair, and I like that they explain why they make suggestions for me. They're always willing to answer any of my dumb questions about their recommendations, without being condescending or holier than thou. I've enjoyed working with them so much I've already decided to do sports training and maybe even a board and train. Their prices are affordable which is an uncommon thing with training in chicago. I had a hard time finding someone within my budget, but I don't feel like I receive discount training. I feel like I don't have to be rich to provide training for my dog. All dogs can benefit from training (and all humans since it's usually us who has to make the biggest changes) and I'm so happy I found trainers I trust and can afford right in chicago. They are unethical (lied about the pup and breeder they were supposed to have been in contact with) and incredibly disorganized. They also tried to tell me that puppy raising board and train was equivalent to weekly in-house trainings. Nothing made any sense. I lost $3000 due to their "No refund policy" (they never even met the dog they were supposed to train), but I decided to cut my losses and run instead of staying with them and progressing with whatever program they were going to do. Our girls have trouble trusting new people, but after the meet and greet, Tess was able to establish an amazing connection with them on her first day. We trust her completely with our girls and in our home. Tess was able to meet our girls on short notice and relieved stress in our need to have an immediate walker the next weekday. The price is excellent and competitive. The "check in" and "check out" notifications put our minds at ease, and we look so forward to the daily summary and photos! Tess is very flexible and accommodating, allowing us to move an appointment the morning of for unforseen circumstances and even booked an appointment for me morning of if I had forgotten the night before. Our dog walker, Eric, was also great! Our dogs seemed very comfortable with him, which was evident in the daily updates he sent. He was also very attentive, he would text me if he noticed one of the dogs limping and he even put a towel down when we had a leak so it wouldn't spread anymore before we got home. Lastly, compared to other dog walkers their rates are very reasonable. Overall, you are definitely getting everything you pay for!

I say this like it was easy, but my "baby" girl is 15 years old: blind, mostly deaf, and cantankerous! She doesn't trust a lot of people, and those who have tried to make her look beautiful typically get frustrated with her attitude and leave her looking lopsided. Not true with the wonderful ladies here! They were so patient and so gentle with her and cleaned her up so nicely. They took about five years off her appearance with their skill sets. Every time my dog would walk even close to groomers he would growl and tug to go back home. Initially i thought it was just a dog being a dog, but i stopped taking him here and started taking him to Pawfect Cuts by cup of joe in downtown frankfort and i learned from the new groomer that my dog has developed grooming anxiety from the groomer at Pedigree junction. So not only was did my dog traumatized here, the cuts being given were not good at all and he would often come back with nails not being cut. Over all not a good experience, and would not recommend taking your dog here and if i could press legal action i would.
