I haven't been happy with where I had been taking my dog, so my dad recommended The Pet Pamperer as he had such a good experience with his sheltie. I should add that my dog is a total freak. The sound of running water makes her flip out. So do hair dryers. and tin foil. I used to think it was an auditory thing, until her first fourth of July ( and every one since) where she ran outside to watch the fireworks. Only dog i've ever seen sit down and watch fireworks like she's on shrooms at a Pink Floyd concert. Other groomers have had an issue with her before because she's such a spaz, but my dog came back from the Pet Pamperer looking absolutely wonderful. The dingleberry containment zone has been trimmed back, she looks amazing, and she smells like candy. My *dog* smells like *candy*. TPP is cheaper than all of the other groomers I have taken my dog to, and she does a much better job.

However, once I got home I noticed the inprofections all over. His coat and face were cut close to his skin in spots and extremely uneven all over. I specifically said I didn't want to see skin. His face and ears were awful lacking uniformity. Also, the dog is white, obviously they didn't use whitening shampoo. His coat now has a yellow tint. He gets groomed monthly, wiped down daily and brushed weekly so he's being taken care of at home. I was looking for someplace outside of big box groomers and learned the shop was under new owners. So I gave them a try. Haven't decided if I'll go back it's a lot of money for subpar work.

My Willow is an 11mo old puppy and this was a wonderful experience. She looked absolutely beautiful! What a warm welcome we got when we walked in, everyone was nice and my Willow loved Lynette. She took the time to really give her an amazing grooming from head to toe. My Willow was so clean and had a beautiful haircut. So happy we have a groomer for life! When we drop him off, he's so excited that he totally and immediately forgets about us (this usually never happens). Gloria's set up is about as personal as dog boarding gets. It's an "in-home" boarding so our dog got to stay with her family the whole time. Because this is "in home" this works best for small and medium sized dogs who are comfortable being around other small dogs and kids. Honestly, for our dog, we liked this much better than the institutional day care options. This is mostly because we got more personalized treatment and our dog was really happiest. When shopping for good boarding options, we think it's always a good idea to find the right choice for the individual dog. Gloria's works best if your dog needs lots of personal attention and consistent "pack" to hang out with.

I say this like it was easy, but my "baby" girl is 15 years old: blind, mostly deaf, and cantankerous! She doesn't trust a lot of people, and those who have tried to make her look beautiful typically get frustrated with her attitude and leave her looking lopsided. Not true with the wonderful ladies here! They were so patient and so gentle with her and cleaned her up so nicely. They took about five years off her appearance with their skill sets. I'm so grateful for this post-holiday miracle. The crew here was really top notch and if I lived in the same state, I'd be back her as frequently as possible.

Jayne replied to my husband's message almost immediately and was able to take care of our dog, even on just hours notice. She took excellent care of our pooch - he even slept right next to her! We also received a report card at the end of her stay, which detailed their walks and playtime. Jayne replies very quickly to emails asking about availability, as well. She has made it possible for us to go out of town and feel comfortable leaving our dog at home in her care. She takes the time to understand the unique needs of our pet and make sure he is treated just as we would treat him. We highly recommend Jayne and Topdog!
