Short story: Go to Pawfect Cuts. not here. If im being honest i would give this place a zero. I was taking my dog here since he was a little puppy. Every time my dog would walk even close to groomers he would growl and tug to go back home. Initially i thought it was just a dog being a dog, but i stopped taking him here and started taking him to Pawfect Cuts by cup of joe in downtown frankfort and i learned from the new groomer that my dog has developed grooming anxiety from the groomer at Pedigree junction. So not only was did my dog traumatized here, the cuts being given were not good at all and he would often come back with nails not being cut. Over all not a good experience, and would not recommend taking your dog here and if i could press legal action i would. read more

Brought my dog in for a bath and nail trim. Owner is very knowledgeable on the different breeds. I've been coming here for years and have only had good experiences. My dogs have always been happy and that is what is most important for me so I would definitely recommend. read more

The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because you can't give 0. This was by far the worst grooming experience I've ever had. I was told my golden would be washed, blown dry, haircut, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, anals tended to and teeth brushed all as part of the grooming experience. I had a 12:00 appointment and was told she should be ready around 2:30 but I would receive a call about 15 minutes beforehand to give me time to get there. At 4:00 I had to call them to find out what was going on and was told my dog refused the blow dryer so there was a delay and it'd be about 20 more minutes before she'd be ready. When I got there my poor dog was so distraught that I didn't notice her hair or injuries until we got home when I looked closer. Anyone who has a golden knows they will not dry completely in 4 hours (my dog refused the blow dryer remember). She wasn't even damp. Her nails were not trimmed, ears were not cleaned (yes, they were visibly dirty) and hair was cut unevenly. I tried to put her collar on her that evening to walk her and she cried. That is when I noticed she had been shaved behind both ears (this is not normal for a golden to be groomed behind the ear especially this short) and the skin had been cut in numerous places. I only wish I could post a picture to show you how horribly she was cut. If you care about your animal, do not bring them here to be abused!! read more

My Jack Russell had her visit here today and it was perfect! The staff was super friendly and they did a great job grooming her. My pup was happy when I picked her up which is always a good sign! I will definitely be back I'm happy I've found my pup a new home for her grooming needs! Did I mention the excellent customer service??!!!! Can't wait until her next appointment! read more

I would highly recommend Alyssa Hill at Pedigree Junction. When I called to make an appointment for my 2 pups, she was energetic, friendly, helpful and was able to accomodate a grooming appointment. When I got to her shop, she was just as wonderful in person, she did a fantastic grooming on my pups and when they came home, they were not lethargic at all, they were happy. I really love this place. It is close to home for me so that is convenient. The staff is friendly and they're able to get my dog groomed in a timely manner. They do a very good job and my dog looks and smells great when I pick her up. Pricing is typical of a dog grooming business so no surprises there. I bring both my dogs here and never have any issues. They are prompt and the dogs are always clean cut and happy when I retrieve them.

I quit going here because new owners raises prices! Told me it would be $50.00 each for my little 14 pound Yorkie Poo & my little 6 pound Yorkie. Well, when I got there, someone was picking up her two 60 pound plus, at least 4 foot, Goldendoodles and lady was charged $100.00. When I said something, she charged me $48.00 for my Yorkie. Less time was spent on my little dogs than the bigger dogs because they never bother checking for fatty tumors and ran the clippers over my Yorkie Poos tumor on her back, thus infecting it. And, I haven't even covered the rudeness of who, I believe was the new owner. read more

I wanted to update my review to give a fair report on this place that is current. The new owner, Mike, reached out to me through Yelp and offered to make things right. He said they had just acquired the business the same week when nobody showed up for my appointment. He was very apologetic. I brought my dog back in yesterday to give them another chance. The lady working was very nice and attentive. The dog looked great afterwards and I even got a nice tip on how to address some of my dog's skin issues from allergies. The only minor issue was with communication. Mike said I could bring my dog in yesterday but when I brought her she was not on the schedule. Also, I was told 2 hours on the grooming and it was actually about 2 hours and 45 minutes. That normally wouldn't be a big deal, but I had others waiting for me and I told them the time I was quoted. Overall, I am happy with the service and care my dog received. I have no problem bringing my dog here. If you stopped going to Pedigree Junction awhile ago, I would give them another chance. read more

I have brought my dog twice to Pedigree Junction for a grooming. I was unsure the first time if she actually clipped all of my dogs nails or not. I paid more attention the second time. When picking my dog up, it was explained to me that my dog went number 2 and made a mess and that he does not like when you grab his paws (which I explained before the first visit). She then proceeded to tell me that she had to use a muzzle on my miniature schnauzer. My dog is 10 years old and has never needed a muzzle. The tone and attitude in the groomers voice was appalling to say the least. It was very obvious she was bothered. Upon checking my dogs nails they were not cut. Maybe she attempted, but they were not cut! I could tell right away by the sound of my dog walking on my wood floors. Based on the way we were both treated, I can't bring my dog back. My close friends and family are aware, but I would encourage anyone who reads this to go somewhere else that does a much more thorough job! read more

Alyssa is WONDERFUL!!! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Pedigree Junction. Both my German Shepherd & senior pug receive above and beyond normal care. My German Shepherd has serious skin allergies. Alyssa actually takes the time to let his prescription shampoo soak for the recommended 10 minutes. This is BY FAR the best our German Shepherd's coat has looked in over 5 years!! If I could give "0" stars, I would have. Had an appointment for my daughter's 5 month old shiz. My daughter was in school so my oldest picked her up. She FaceTimed me afterwards to show her to me and ask what I had done for $35.00. Piper looked the same as when I dropped her off. On my way home, I stopped there and asked "what happened ". I was told "she was a little b**** and wouldn't cooperate ". I explained then i was not happy about the service and told to come back the next day at 10:45 so she could spend time on her since she don't open till noon. I got there at 10:40 and waited until 11:55 for her to show up just to tell me "I will give you your money back, I know she won't cooperate ". She said she over slept and didn't leave work till 7 when she was supposed to leave at 5. If you don't have patience with animals, then you should not be in the business. Makes me wonder how she handles other animals! Don't waste your time/money here. read more

I took my 2 1/2 year old OES here for a grooming yesterday. Alyssa did an awesome job with him. She groomed him exactly how I asked. This is the best grooming he has had. He looks great and is not traumatized. I wish I would have come here sooner. The prices are great too. We definitely will be returning. read more

I have taken my cat here to be shaved and groomed for years. Recently I set up an appointment for him to be shaved for the summer. They rescheduled my appointment because someone had car issues or food poisoning I'm not sure I got two different stories from two different people. Which wasn't a problem. Someone came in on a Sunday to shave him because of the rescheduling issue which was very nice of them. My only issue was that my mom (who didn't know how much i paid in previous years) paid $60 for him to be shaved. I normally paid $45. So when she told me what she paid, I was a little taken back. I've taken him elsewhere previously and never paid more that $40-45. I called to verify the price and they stated this place is under new ownership. I just figured you'd let people know that your prices jump up from what the previous owner had them at for long time customers :( going to have to find a new cat groomer. Sucks because I really liked this place. Convenient to home and my cat was relaxed there. Oh well. read more

I used to take my golden to them for years , I brought him in a couple weeks ago and they told me the groomer I used wasn't there anymore so I figured I'd give someone else there a try . They did a horrible job and I now have to find a new groomer. The old groomer was always so caring and her work was so neat . read more

Well Andrew, as the owner of Pedigree Junction Dog and Cat Spa and reviewing with my manager Kate, we agree if you were that unhappy you should have informed us when picking up your pet. My team are neither rude nor stupid. We do think it interesting that we could not find an Andrew W in our system ... And that you reviewed two grooming shops on the same day at the same time. Guess you were busy getting grooming done in Frankfort and Monee on the same day. Used this facility several times for grooming, each time was worse than theone before it. Shame on me for continuing to try to work with them, but they had come recommended and I was hoping to work things out.
