Stay far away from Summit Pet Care. This place is an absolute scam for what they charge. Christina,…read morethe main manager, is rude, unprofessional, and gives zero warm welcome. They charge you for every single thing , you literally have to pay extra just for someone to hold or cuddle your dog, and if you don't pay for "outside time," your dog stays locked in a cage almost the entire day. The facility isn't even clean. They don't train their employees at all, which is exactly why they're always short-staffed, management has changed, and people keep quitting left and right. For a place that calls itself professional, it's insane how many dogs cough up blood while they're there. Do not take your dog to this place. It's not worth the money or the risk.

They not only took good care of our two cats, they fed and watered them, watered the plants and took in the mail. They like animals and our cats received daily socialization in our home during our absence. Even though it had been a while since we used their service, Jayne remembered us and was pleased to accept our return visit. She came over before our trip to get the keys and to meet our newest cat. The other cat had passed since we last used their service. Jayne was also able to become acquainted with Miss Pooh. Jayne and Larry are great, Larry fed Mr. Bub cat treats and made an instant friend for life. We most recently used Fidos & Felines this past week and just arrived home early this morning to find our mail neatly stacked ready to read, a nice note from Jayne and Larry telling us about their week with our cats. Jayne texted us during our vacation to give us updates on the cats and we were welcome to do the same, if we wanted information about our fur babies. What I most appreciated was the peace of mind knowing that my cats were in good hands, being fed, having their boxes scooped and that someone was keeping an eye on the home front. I totally trust Jayne and Larry and would recommend Fidos & Felines to anyone looking for pet care in their own home in the Lee's Summit area.

Lots of tests, panels, etc were done and finally surgery was determined to be needed if we wanted to find out if something was blocking his intestines. Turns out he had a corn cob stuck in there and had to have it removed. It was such a scary and worrisome time and I was preparing myself to lose my fur son. However, he recovered! He even got to come home a day early...he was there for about 4 days I believe. Cindy and the entire staff kept me constantly informed, never making a decision without notifying me and giving me ALL available options. This place actually cares about their animals and aren't looking to push sales on you for money. Every time I come there, they always are happy to see the fur babies and just love to give them all the affection and care as if it was their own. I tell everyone to come here...I mean I moved also 30+ minutes away and will still only come here. Thank you for all you do!

I was satisfied with this Vet for a few years because we usually see a regular Vet for my animals…read more This was until they just changed Vets without our knowledge. My dog fell off the bed and wasn't walking on his hind legs is why we rushed him to Green Summit. Instead of putting my dog on a stretcher they made my husband walk him into their facility. He was wobbly and fell twice on the hard floor before my husband picked him up and they put them in a room. When we called we informed them of our dogs condition and he couldn't put any pressure on his hind legs. He should have been put on a stretcher from the car to get seen. So the new vet came in (a Man with tats on his head) and they misdiagnosed him with an ACL injury and sent us home with steroids and pain pills. No Xray or tests were done. By that night our dog was completely paralyzed from the chest down. We took him to another vet and they said he definitely had a spinal cord injury. which should have been correctly diagnosed from the beginning. After a week of my doggy paralyzed he was no longer urinating, we called around town to see if we could get him in to release his bladder, and Green Summit was the ONLY one who could get him in. So again we took our dog to this vet. The same vet came in but this time not as a man, but as a woman in a wig and a stuffed bra on. He gave us the most vague answers on what we needed to do, so he referred us to an emergency vet. A $400 bill for them to recommend him to a different vet. We got to the emergency vet and after an hour they came in with horrible news, Diesel couldn't be fixed and was living in pain...we had to put my 6 year old guy to sleep. WHY DID YOU HAVE MY DOG EVEN ATTEMPT TO WALK INTO YOUR FACILITY??? We told you over the phone he had no movement in his back legs. I know he was probably wasn't able to be fixed, but with the right diagnosis maybe he wouldn't have suffered for a whole week

As Ferret parents know, ferrets can take a little extra care, and Latchkey Pets has shown me they can provide the necessary care and spend extra time with them. Knowing my fur babies are in good hands, I have always felt at ease when away. Their sitters are skilled, professional, personable, and polite. They send daily pictures of my pets, which is fantastic to see how they are doing, and they keep a detailed log of what was done each day. I have used them for daily visits and overnight stays. I can't recommend this group enough if you are looking for a pet sitter you can trust.
