I'd like to share my recent experience in the hope that it helps improve patient care…read more While most of the staff have been kind and professional, my interaction with one receptionist, VERONICA, was very disappointing. During first visit, my daughter and I waited more than two hours for my initial assessment. After the appointment, I was given paperwork that should have been completed beforehand, causing even more unnecessary delay. At my third visit today, I called ahead to ask whether I could still be seen if I was about 10 minutes late. Unfortunately, I arrived approximately 13 minutes late because it took much longer than expected to find parking. I respectfully asked whether there was any way I could still be seen, especially considering the unusually long wait I experienced during my first visit. However, I was immediately told "no." Only after I repeatedly asked for help was I offered an appointment three hours later. Veronica was rude, dismissive, and seemed to have complete control over patients' time without making any effort to help. I then spoke with another front desk, who was able to offer me an appointment from same system with 1.5 hours wait. This showed that there were options available. I understand that the clinic has a policy of canceling appointments if a patient is more than 10 minutes late, and I respect the need for policies. However, I felt there was very little effort to assist me or explore any possible solutions. A little kindness, flexibility, and willingness to help would have made a significant difference. Instead, I was met with repeated, blunt refusals that left me feeling dismissed rather than cared for. I was so upset by the experience that I asked to cancel my next five appointments. While I was still speaking, Veronica canceled them immediately without showing any concern. The receptionist's attitude caused me stress and frustration. After I left, I happened to look through the window and saw her suddenly laughing, which I found extremely unprofessional given how upset I had just been. Thankfully, another staff member was able to accommodate me much sooner. I don't understand why Veronica was given the authority to treat patients this way. She never attempted to help, show empathy, or offer any reasonable solution. I hope this feedback encourages a review of how patients are treated at the front desk, because every patient deserves to be treated with respect, kindness, and compassion.

The level of professionalism, compassion, and patient care that I appreciated was completely lacking. The staff seemed indifferent, and I did not feel valued as a patient. In addition, the front office was rude and unprofessional, which made the experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, I am not the only one who feels this way. Several friends of mine who were also long-time patients stopped going to Covina Sports Medicine for the same reason. It is very disappointing to see such a decline in the quality of service at a facility I once trusted and recommend to others.

When I went to Covina Hills Sports Medicine, I expected the same experience I have had at other therapy centers. Unfortunately, in most places, the therapist evaluates you, performs some manipulation during the first visit (and maybe the second), and then leaves you in the hands of assistants or students for the remainder of the treatment. That was not the case here. From the very first day, Dr. Wigboldy conducted an extremely thorough evaluation. She took the time to understand my condition in detail, performed the necessary treatment, and clearly explained both the cause of my problem and the plan to resolve it. At the time, my condition was quite severe--my shoulder pain was intense enough to wake me up several times during the night. After nearly two months of treatment, I am very pleased to say that the pain is completely gone. The entire staff is highly professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They make you feel welcome and confident that you are in capable hands. Kim and Keyla, in particular, stand out for their dedication and the quality of care they provide. I can only assume they have been trained by Dr. Wigboldy, as they reflect the same level of kindness and professionalism. This is a place where you receive consistent, hands-on care from experienced professionals who truly care about your recovery. I highly recommend Covina Hills Sports Medicine to anyone seeking effective and attentive physical therapy.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I've had the opportunity to visit and work with clinics across a…read morevariety of settings, and I can honestly say this is one of the most impressive physical therapy facilities I've ever stepped foot in. I recently visited while attending a continuing education course, and from the moment I walked in it was obvious this clinic is operating at a completely different level. The owners have built something that is incredibly rare in healthcare today--a culture centered around genuine passion for helping people, promoting health and fitness, and investing in their community. You can feel the energy as soon as you walk through the doors. There's a sense of camaraderie, positivity, accountability, and even a little healthy competition that makes the entire environment motivating for both patients and staff. The clinic itself is absolutely exceptional. Every square foot has been intentionally designed to support recovery, performance, and long-term health. Whether someone is recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, returning to sport, or simply trying to move and feel better, they have the space, equipment, and expertise to meet those needs. It is easily one of the most organized clinics I've ever seen. Everything has its place, the facility is spotless, and the attention to detail is evident everywhere you look. This is exactly what a high-end cash-based physical therapy clinic should be. Professional without feeling cold, upscale without feeling pretentious, and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. The surrounding community is incredibly fortunate to have a clinic like this. If you're looking for a place that truly values your health and invests in your success rather than simply getting you in and out, this is the standard that physical therapy should strive to achieve.
