I had an important appointment today and phoned 2 hours ahead to make sure I could have a taxi at the my departure time. I even asked if I should book a bit earlier because it was important I left at the correct time. When the taxi did not arrive as scheduled, I called and was told I was "in the queue" No indication on how long I should wait. I called Emerald Taxi and they came within 5 minutes. I used to use PG Taxi whenever I needed a ride at a specific time but after today, I just don't think it is worth my stress levels. While I do understand that rushes happen and one customer means very little, I do think the dispatcher should have: a.) encouraged me to book earlier if I was worried b.) ensure that a taxi was there since it was prebooked or c.) informed me at a reasonable time so I could have rescheduled. An option on the App to notify of high wait times could have accomplished this. For now, my business will be going with Emerald as they picked me up promptly the 3 times I needed them today. read more

After waiting a long while, was close to being late so I called the dispatch to get an approximate time frame for the taxi's arrival and the "woman" who answered the call was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful! When I call a business to ask a question or anything else I fully expect to be treated with the respect I deserve as a paying customer. Without paying customers like myself, this business would cease to exsist and if that's how you allow your call takers to behave with rude snappy inappropriate comments and tones then you have permanently lost my business. There used to be such a thing called customer service and quality assurance, however with your Prince George dispatchers you have really scrapped the bottom of the barrel to find employees. Its exceedingly simple to politely answer a call, so when your employees can't handle something as simple as that u have to wonder why the management is allowing this level of crude, unprofessional behavior. You should truly be ashamed of yourself and your employees for allowing your paying customers to be treated in this way. read more

Don't use Prince George Taxi. They will steal your money. My wife took a cab 2 km. and they charged her $17.75. She is new to Canada and does not speak English well, so they took advantage of her. When I called the management, he said that they charged her for someone else who lived nearby who didn't pay their fare the night before. I told him this is theft and that I wanted them to give my wife her money back. He refused. This is ridiculous. Use Emerald Cabs 250 563 3333. If you do use PG Taxi, don't pay them. If they can steal money from people, then we customers don't have to pay them. read more

PG taxi is about as convenient as hitchhiking. Drivers often don't know they're way around town & will purposely take longer routes so the customer has to pay more, they will also leave the meter running while they fumble with their GPS on the side of the road because they do know where the hell they're going. One of the worst things about PG Taxi are they're phone operators, they are about as friendly as a rabid hyena, quick to make rude remarks to customers "nagging" them with more than one phone call only after having their taxi flagged down by other people. All in all, I would say PG Taxi is a company who doesn't care about the customer whatsoever, and only thrives because of a lack of other options. (No Uber, only one other taxi company to compete with, etc.) read more
