Typically same day service versus waiting 2-3 days at larger chain stores like PGA. Sometimes supporting a local business means increased cost. Walked in club finders and they try to take advantage on my two Scoty Camren clubs that I was treating in for another club. They definitely tried to lowball me and take advantage of the clubs that I was trying to sell them after looking on the floor and seeing how much they're reselling them was completely unacceptable. They lack in class lacking customer service would not recommend going there!!! read more

I found this business on yelp and when I called he was very helpful and friendly. When I visited I was greeted promptly. He found the grips I wanted immediately and made suggestions for a putter grip. I was told the 12 clubs would be ready in an hour - and they were. I thought the pricing was reasonable. When I returned I didn't have to say a word and he retrieved my clubs! They had very few gloves and no shoes. He did suggest visiting the PGA Superstore across the street. read more

Updated review after 7 years of going to Clubfinders in Plano. They've always been very helpful to me and others regarding finding used clubs, whether they are on the floor or in the back room. They have just about everything for golfers. The retail floor is a mix of new and used, but mostly used clubs, individual clubs/putters or sets. The prices are extremely fair, and believe me when I tell you that they offer better trade-in prices that the other golf stores in DFW. Also, they are one of the funkiest golf shops in the USA, and I've been to many across the USA. Just good vibes at Clubfinders. Darren, Kenny and Jason and their staff all share a good sense of humor for the golfers that come in for help. I've witnessed them go to great lengths to help new and experienced golfers. The golf banter amongst them and the frequent shopper should be filmed and made into short videos on Tik-Toc, they can be so hilarious! It just says a lot about how they understand the psyche of the golf-obsessed folks that come into their store. This summer, they expanded their floor space to include hitting bays and a putting green where you can get fitted for putters and clubs. They have expert fitters for both, and with none of the attitudes you'll find elsewhere (meaning there is no smirk, snark or uppity attitudes towards the golfer who needs help). When you want a golf club repaired, re-shafted or re-gripped, or shaft adapters installed, they are so accommodating and fast! I think the general golf public doesn't understand that there are some true experienced expert pro's in this segment of the golfing world, but they cannot be found at the PGA SS or most other places. Clubfinders have managed to attract some of the best in this so important segment of the golf world. I think its because Darren, Kenny and Jason have this knowledge themselves, and know what to look for in club building and repair. Plus, they also know it's a reputation builder for their customer service segment of their business. If you've moved to DFW and are a golfer, get on over to Clubfinders. Great place for single used clubs, but in looking for a used set, many for sale look overpriced vs just going with a new set.

Walked in ready to experiment and upgrade from an older SLDR to something slightly more forgiving. The guy who helped me seemed genuinely uninterested in helping or selling me anything (money in the pocket ready to spend) and mumbled short responses to my questions. I genuinely felt warded off. Later I decided to try out the TaylorMade Sim 2 driver but I was informed I can't hit it because it's "new". I'm confused as almost all golf outlets have a floor model for you to try or get fitted to. I came in as a mediocre golfer seeking to improve my game and left feeling unvalued as a potential customer. The only reason I would consider giving a star is the prices aren't outrageous and the layout of the store was clean. To that employee- some energy or pride in sales goes a long way! Overall the hype of this place is misplaced- at least even the guys at the PGA superstore are interested in your money! read more

When you want really great service, quality pre-loved golf equipment, and affordable prices, you need to go to Club Finders. Every time I have gone in here they have accommodated my every ask for servicing my clubs to perfection, given me quality tips when I was deliberating between different clubs, and the used ball bin is a huge added bonus when I am not good enough to justify paying full price for a box of Pro-V1's, there's the used ball bin for a great price of a dozen balls. I come into the store in Plano probably once every 2 or 3 weeks just to see if they have anything new, get some balls, or even see about trading some of my equipment in for different things I see on their racks. They've got the biggest selection of quality pre-owned golf products in the DFW area. You'd be silly to pay full price anywhere else when you can get new, or practically new products for way cheaper here and support an awesome local business that has a great group of guys working for them. A three and a half rating for this store is a underestimate. They helped me build the driver I visioned at a really good price as well. I turned in two drivers that I would consider old and they gave me $140 in score credit. So when it comes to trade in prices. They are the best! From drivers and irons too putters. Perfect service. I've been trying to get a few irons reshafted with KBS $-taper lite shafts for about a year now, and no one had them in stock. Not only did Clubfinder's have the shafts, but they also gave me the lowest quote I had gotten. The irons came out great, and I enjoyed some great conversation with the staff while I waited. I shopped here for my novice teen golfer who wanted to step up his game. I did not know where to begin. Clubfinders helped us find a full set of Callaway irons including a matching sand wedge. We also found a driver, and hybrid. Two days later, we went to pick up and I was surprised to see head covers and a golf glove in the package. It impressed my teen. Great place to do business with - very helpful and great customer service. Bought a set of Ping irons on ebay and was a little confused by the rating that the gave it and the product description Vs the pictures which made the set look like new, to me. So I called and spoke to a store employee that was very concerned about me being satisfied with what I purchased to the point that he would offer me a full refund if I was disappointed with the condition of the clubs once I received them. I told him not to worry, I'm sure that I will be pleased with them if they look like their picture. Fifteen minutes later, they arrived and they were in new like condition just like the pictures reflected. My point is that I could tell that clubfinders really cares about customer service by the way he expressed concern about the written description that was only visible on my cell and not on the laptop. It turned out to be an ebay issue and had nothing to do with clubfinders written description which clubfinders was completely unaware of. Regardless of one sentence in the description describing them as never been played, they are in new like condition as if they came directly from the Ping factory. But since they are slightly used clubfinders rated them an 8 so as not to disappoint any buyers. I bought them and I rate them a 9+. And if you decide not to sell your club because they offer you half of what it is worth, they will not hesitate to tell you "Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out". I'm not a golfer, but my best man is. We went here to replace some clubs and came out with more than necessary for the price of probably a new one. The only drawback was the service. No one offered to help find a specific club and when we checked out, the man at the register received a personal call on his cell phone. He took the call, told us to wait and walked off.
