If you like racing go karts then look no further. Wait - Went here with a group of 4 Saturday afternoon at around 4pm and waited about 1.5 hours. It is first come, first serve so you can't call to reserve. Unless you go weekdays and in the morning, expect a wait. Karts and Track - the karts go up to 50mph which was super fun. The track is also quiet long with the fastest recorded time at 77 seconds. It has a lot of great turns and a nice long straightway. Experience - you sign up for 15 minute sessions and I recommend more than 1 because you'll spend the first session just feeling out the track. They do print out your time sheet after so you can see your performance. The crew was friendly and quick to help. Price - compared to other karting places I've been, prices are more than reasonable. They do charge you for head sock if you don't have one. They have plenty of sitting area and lockers to keep your belonging. Bring a lock if you want it locked. I highly recommend bringing water if it's warm out and just in general to keep you hydrated. What's really neat is the other side of the karting area is an actual track for car/drag racing and you can go check it out while you're waiting. I was happy to come across PGP Motorsports Park for outdoor kart racing in Kent. Sometimes the fumes in the indoor venues can be overwhelming. Depending on your group size, you may have to wait awhile to participate in an arrive and drive session. I recommend each person sign the waiver as they arrive and once your whole party is there, have one representative go to the counter to sign your group up (if you all want to race together). Fun fun fun! Well organized and they always put safety first. As of 2021, it costs about $35-$40 for 13 minutes on the course. The go carts works well, no big hiccups from one to the other. And if there is an issue, they remove it from the course. If you accidentally go off the course into the grass, they come to get you in a timely manner. These buggies are fast and wide. I had heard from friends that PGP was simply the best go karting place, mainly because it is outdoors, the karts could go faster, and the course itself is more sophisticated than other places. PGP not only met all those expectations, but it exceeded them! As a newbie to go karting, I was initially very intimated. However, the staff was incredibly friendly, and like others have said, not condescending at all!! I mean, I was VERY slow, got in the wrong go kart, and probably did something else wrong too, but they were so nice and accommodating the whole time. It also seemed like a very safe facility with staff monitoring the course and responding quickly in the event someone drove off course or needed support. As an added bonus, they print everyone's race results so you can see how you performed (as well as your peers on the course). I cannot recommend PGP enough! Came here with a larger group on a Thursday. There was one other group there at the time so it was not very busy. The staff is friendly and helpful. There's one track, but they have a large number of karts to accommodate. This was the process for our larger group of ~30 people. They split us into two groups of 15. 1) Get signed in. Enter your info and they will provide a helmet liner/balaclava. You get to keep this at the end. 2) Grab a helmet. They have various sizes to fit your head. The visors are somewhat scratched up on many helmets since they've been used quite a few times, but they seemed clean enough on the inside. 3) Staff goes over rules and process. Again, very friendly and helpful. 4) Go through 3 rounds of driving. 5) There's a little award ceremony at the end where they will call up the winners to a stand. In our case, we had 3 rounds. Each round consists of up to 7 laps which takes around ~12 minutes total Each lap takes ~1.5min - 2min on average depending on how fast you drive. Round 1 was practice. Round 2 was a qualifying round to gather people's best times. Based on this time, you were re-grouped with either a faster or slower group. The final round was the actual race. Of course, the experience for a smaller group may very well be different. After each round, we were given a list of racers' rankings and best/average lap times. This was nice as you could see your time improve from lap to lap. For each of these rounds, about half of the group finished the 7 laps. After some number of people complete the 7 laps, everyone must exit the course. So if you drive a little slower, you'll only get maybe 5 or 6 laps in. This tends to happen if you spin out onto the dirt. If this happens, you may be required to take our vehicle over to be inspected which takes some time. Also, the karts do vary a bit. Some karts may have better handling than others, but they're reasonably similar enough at the end of the day. So this requires a touch of luck to get a better kart than your competition. Overall, driving in those fast little carts was fun. There are a ton of turns though and not many straightaways so you don't quite get to drive at the max speed very much. Also gets a bit risky trying to pass people since the karts take up quite a bit of space on the not too wide roads. Note: You're not allowed to drive if you've had any alcohol. Presumably since the karts go fairly fast and it would be a tad dangerous. Also, only restrooms available are portable potties so use the restroom before coming. read more

Helmets are clean, the staff are all friendly and willing to help you go faster and have a good time doing it. Any shenanigans are not tolerated. It you are unsafe, they will pull you from the track! This place is sooo dope! I wanted to do something different for my birthday so I decided to do it on the tracks this year. It was adrenaline pumping and absolutely fucking amazing. I've been to other go-karting places (indoor & outdoor) but there really is nothing like PGP. Just like everyone else's reviews, the staff is amazing, they are driven, full of energy, and really do care about your safety and well-being. There is a lot of safety & important information that needs to be disclosed prior to you racing, however, they do it professionally & efficiently. Now, this place is not your typical indoor go-karting experience, the go-karts can go up to 50 mph. The staff pays attention to racers out there who lose control of their go-kart or get stuck in the sidelines. You can race at your own speed but what's the fun in that if you can't beat your mates. haha. We purchased 2 sessions, each session is about 13 minutes which may not seem like a long time but when you are out on the track it actually feels longer than it really is. We were blessed with the PNW rain prior to our arrival and the tracks were wet, so my group and I were able to drift during our sessions. If you're looking to race all year round- rain or sunshine, PGP will be fitting for you! They have a HUGE track with with fun curvy turns and straight a ways! You can definitely go fast on this track. Their staff goes above and beyond to help you. They ensure your safety first. They thoroughly explain the rules and release you onto the track. The goal is to obviously have fun, but to also improve your time on each lap. You can even bring your go pro and attach it to your helmet. Each session is about 15 mins long. The prices for the races are not so cheap. For the first race, it's $37, then $26 for every race afterwards. We usually do two runs, and it comes out to about $66, more or less with tax of course. This place is safe, fun, and easy to organize for group events. The team is very good at training and giving advice on how you can improve.

This is not our standard indoor slow go-kart track, this is a large track with karts that can reach 50 miles an hour. At that speed you want to have decent reflexes and be in some resemblance of shape because if not the torque on the steering wheel will definitely make you feel sore quickly. Nevertheless, this was a blast. This has been my third time there and a great way to spend the afternoon with some gear-heads and not worry about a ticket. There is actually quite a bit of skill to actually go fast, it is not just floor it and hang on. The staff is great, polite, and concerned about your safety. Spinning out is actually pretty common and injuries probably occur now and then although I have not seen any, however I have seen some good wrecks. So if you like cars or just want to try something totally different check these guys out. Then go when it rains, that changes everything. read more

WOW!! This was the second part of the karting double header my bro and I did this day. This track is HUGE, with gas powered karts, we were on the standards. These karts rocked! It was a perfect sunny spring day, the karts want to drift though the corners if your on the gas. It's not the fastest way around the track but sure is fun. This place is wayyy too much fun! They have the fastest, standard go-karts I've ever driven on a track before and an amazing, large track with plenty of turns and two long straights where you can floor it and really get moving quick. All this comes at a cost though, and it's not cheap. I spent $71.69 on (2) ~13 minute races. I'm sure part of the cost is due to people crashing. While I was there, I saw 2 or 3 people go off the track and into the dirt. I'd bet they have lots of maintenance and repairs to do after a busy day. They have a big, gravel parking lot and a simple sign-in process for "Arrive & Drive". They also give you a lap-time sheet with your ranking after a race which is cool. IMO it was well worth it. I would definitely visit again and recommend it to anyone who enjoys an adrenaline rush. read more

When it comes to Karting in Washington, this is the place you want to go. It's a real karting track, they use real karts, AND you have to brave the elements (sun, rain, and everything in between). The place: It's adjacent to Pacific Raceways - a real road-course track (with left AND right turns) with good elevation changes - which brings a high-performance aura to the whole area The track: They have multiple configurations for the track, which is great for variety. Furthermore, they can set up the two loops to run simultaneously. The track is an outdoor European-style karting track which is MUCH better than the indoor tracks you get a places like SyKart and Traxx. At PGP, you get real asphalt, long sweeper turns, real hairpins, kerbs, the whole lot! The karts: There are three different types of rentals: the standard kart, the Touch-and-Go (TAG) kart, and the shifter kart - in order of speed. Most people will use the standard karts, which are plenty fast and fun! However, you can take some classes which will grant you access to the fast kart categories, but that comes at a price. OR... you can bring your own kart if you have one. The hours: They are definitely more limited than the indoor places, but for two good reasons: 1) it gets dark, and karts don't have headlights. 2) they alternate between rentals and free practice (this is where you bring your own kart and run) The events: PGP hosts real kart races, and I encourage everyone who's interested to go check these out. Unlike the "indoor racing leagues," these kart races are the real things. This is where the next generation of racing drivers are bred. The staff: These people are very friendly, accommodating, and most importantly, real gearheads. The cost: While driving at PGP is slightly more expensive relative to the indoor places, it's worth the extra cost. In short, you get the REAL THING. Annual Membership: $50 (optional: waives the $10 insurance fee, which you pay once per day. Went here last Friday with some friends for some go cart racing! You can rent the go-cart in 15 min intervals at around $35 or if you become a member then it is only $25. They provide all the equipment; helmet, head sock (to wear under the helmet but this is an additional $2.50 but its yours to keep for next time), racing suit or rain gear, and of course go-cart. The only thing they didn't provide were gloves, which I would recommend bringing especially if its raining. The race track is outdoors with lots of turns to keep things interesting. I recommend going with a large group so that there are more people to race against. This place is definitely kid friendly. I saw a few 12 year olds out there having a blast! The requirements are that you be at least 12 years old and 4'10" tall. Overall this was a fun experience and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only downside is that currently they do not have restrooms only a porta potty. read more

My buddy and I decided to take the day off and find a go kart place. Most of the indoor places I called were between $12-19 per race, with races lasting about 8-10 minutes or so. Before I booked, I decided to check Yelp, and I'm glad I did. I noticed that most other places got 3 or 3.5 stars, while PGP got 4.5. I was surprised to find out that it cost about 40% more than the nearest competitor. You get what you pay for eh? The race is a bit longer at 15 minutes, but the real joy is the course. It's nearly a mile long and totally outdoors. The karts are also the fastest at 50MPH. I can't wait to go back. My first race I placed around 68% and 80% in my second. Loved every minute of it and totally worth the 30 mile drive from West Seattle. read more

This is obviously the best karting track in Washington. I have been to many other tracks including the go kart track at Indianapolis, and personally I find this track to be more of a challenge and more fun. The karts are fantastic, and the track is always a new challenge with the weather changing and several different layouts along with the challenge of different drivers to overtake. I've been a member (highly recommended- saves money if you go 5 or more times in a year) for two years now, so of course my review will be the full five stars. This review however is more aimed at doing a group rental: I recently had an opportunity to get a group of buddies together to have a gridded start and race head to head. The front front runners of our group raced hard for the top podium spot while overtaking and lapping the slower members of our group. This was a great experience for everyone in my group and I highly recommending it. The usual price is $60 per person and it comes with two sessions: Practice, and final race. It really is one of the best deals at PGP or any go kart track. It allows seasoned drivers a chance to get more track time and also gives non-racers and friends an opportunity to try out a more serious version of karting with only their friends around them on track. I also have to mention the staff: as always they are some of the best in any business. They want to help their customers get better, and they also want everyone to have fun. You can drive to your limit out here because the staff understands drivers make honest mistakes and they will do their best to help drivers who have gone off track get going again. Can't really say enough good things about the staff at PGP! They really enhance the experience both on and off the track. Bottom line: if you're deciding which go kart track to go to with a group of friends for a quick session or group rental, remember that PGP ranks at the top with what's important: an excellent track design, precise go karts, and excellent customer service from each and every staff member at PGP which all equates to a fun, authentic and challenging experience. read more

This is a very fun race track and a fun activity to do. It is outdoor and unlike the indoor tracks where overtaking is impossible, here overtaking is possible. The track itself is fun and reasonably challenging. It costs 35$ for the first fifteen minute session and 25$ for subsequent sessions (unless you are a member - 50$ fee and all sessions cost 25$). It is open even in the rain (which I haven't tried and would be fun). The carts do move along at a nice clip though personally I thought that the brakes weren't that good (but hey, I'm not an expert and it could have just been my luck on that day with that cart). Wknd configuration is still pretty good, lots of curves/sharp turns. I wish these carts had transmissions - my fat self couldn't keep up with them little kids blowing by me - that kart just didn't have enough guts to get my fatass back up to speed after the corners!! I've been to PGP several times and have had a great time every time. The carts are 5hp, with a single brake caliper on the rear axle and hard compound tires. So, once you get going you have to actually use some skill to maintain control and get a decent time. The hard compound tires on the wet track makes for a very slippery ride. I attended a wet track clinic and found this out first hand. A day license is $10 and a round of laps is $25. Things add up quick, but you'll have a great time especially if you go with a group of friends. I noticed that several people complain about their forearms and ribs ending up really sore after a few laps. Make sure to get foam padding if you need it, and relax that strangle hold on the steering wheel - problems solved. I've also been able to run some laps around Pacific Raceways. All around this is a fun day in the park. read more
