this business sold me a car that broke within 24 hours of purchasing it, a set screw that's suppose to be loctite in place fell out causing the wheel hub and tire to separate from the vehicle, after that the steering servo has completely broken and an additional screw that's suppose keeps the axle in place fell off which has caused the axle to damage the entire knuckle. all within 1 week of owning the car. only been driving on grass and asphalt. the business told me they would not do anything for me or refund any money when I've spent $1,900 on this setup. The first and last time I'll bring my business here. Recently bought my first RC car and needed nitro and glow plugs. Decided to support my local hobby shop and maybe get some pointers from the staff. Google reviews looked decent. We walked in and the old dude just looked at us. No greeting. No welcome in, how you doing. I eventually said how you doing. Just and ok he says. I proceed to tell him I'm new to RC and just bought my first car. No response. Just a blank stare. Hmm ok I think. Well I need some nitro and glow plugs. How many? 2, 3,10, 15, he says in a short, unfriendly tone. Dude had no customer service skills. As I made my debit payment he glared at my wife and our baby. Maybe he doesn't like our brown skin kind in his store. Who knows? He was rude and made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted in his store. I would've been a repeat customer. I have a nitro car and buying an electric 6s car this week. I'm sure I'll need extra parts and batteries and a charger. Tacoma RC Raceway will never get a penny of that business. I'll buy online and not have do deal with a rude old dude that's ungrateful for my business. I'm a very loyal customer when I find a friendly welcoming business. That old dude was neither friendly or welcoming and made us feel very unwanted in his store. That's my experience there today and good for you if you've had a better experience. read more

Awesome track and even better staff! The shop is small but stocks everything you could ever need and or want when it comes to RC cars! Scott has been in the RC business for decades and is/was professionally sponsored and knows his cars/setups. Todd and Kevin are equally as knowledgeable and have no problem talking to New comers and veterans alike, always offering sage advice and tips, even taking the time to really get to know you and foster a relationship. I'm an old school RC racer/hobbyist who was in it back in the Tamaya Frog and OG RC-10 days. I just recently decided to get back into it and this shop/staff has made it a no-stress and fun endeavour! On top of that they welcome young kids with open arms and have no problem with them hanging out and even racing their RC cars on the track! Haven't been there too many times due to the location. It's not that far from home, just not convenient for me. (I live in Tumwater) with that said they've got a huge selection and usually have whatever it is I'm in need of. The staff there can be very busy at times but when it's your turn to be helped YOU get the attention. Recently I needed help with settings using the Castle Link software and the gent behind the counter was able to point me in the right direction with a few easy comments. The indoor track is a blast and the environment is generally very relaxed when I've had the chance to go play there. All in all a very worthwhile destination. Racing does take place and although I've never had the chance to race I've seen it go on a few times. Even just hanging out watching the cars can be fun. read more

A great place for family fun! We went to watch the grandkids play and got to see them enjoy their R/C cars, from racing them to helping other cars stay upright on the track. Even the adults in our group got involved and it seemed to be quite a workout to keep up with all the action. There are lots of tables set-up with outlets to charge the car batteries and spread out your gear for a day of driving. And, if you have toddlers in the group, it's a great set-up to bring your laptop and plug in a movie while the older kids and kids-at-heart experience the thrill of R/C cars. Although I was only a bystander, the front office plus fuel for the humans (in the form of candy, sandwiches and soft drinks). We definitely will be back for more fun! read more

This is a great hobby shop/track The track is the perfect size. Not so big that you lose track (no pun intended) of your car but not too small where it gets very repetitive. The hobby shop has a massive selection and the staff is very friendly. They even sell candy lol. Next to the track is a bunch of tables that you can use to charge batteries/make repairs. This is the premier indoor RC race facility in the Northwest. The staff are always friendly and make every stride to help you with anything they can. The owner is a legend in the RC world and treats you like a friend. If they don't have what you need, they can get it. The indoor track is amazing. The clay has more traction than you'll find anywhere other than astro or carpet. A new track layout is put in every five weeks, keeping things fresh. The competition is very high, and for the most part, the crowd is awesome. You are bound to run into a couple questionable characters at any RC facility. That's just part of the hobby.
