Awesome track and even better staff! The shop is small but stocks everything you could ever need and or want when it comes to RC cars! Scott has been in the RC business for decades and is/was professionally sponsored and knows his cars/setups. Todd and Kevin are equally as knowledgeable and have no problem talking to New comers and veterans alike, always offering sage advice and tips, even taking the time to really get to know you and foster a relationship. I'm an old school RC racer/hobbyist who was in it back in the Tamaya Frog and OG RC-10 days. I just recently decided to get back into it and this shop/staff has made it a no-stress and fun endeavour! On top of that they welcome young kids with open arms and have no problem with them hanging out and even racing their RC cars on the track! On top of it all they love the military and offer a military discount to show their appreciation. Truly a top notch small-business!

This is as good as it gets in WA. Well stocked hobby shop, lots of different parts, always open, nice indoor track. Heated in the winter.

Not so big that you lose track (no pun intended) of your car but not too small where it gets very repetitive.

Rusty Wallace race experience, South Sound Speedway, Rochester, Wa…read more Purchased a Groupon for a chance to "drive a nascar". Once purchased, you find that on short tracks you get to drive a late model style car. Completed my experience on Sunday October 6, 2014. Pros: Well organized, very safe, cars are set up good, location was good. Cons: you won't go fast, they yell at you the entire time you're on the track, if you have ever driven on a racetrack or have any drivers training, don't bother! Experience is not what's advertised. The hour long "drivers training" is really 20 minutes of how if you don't follow their strict rules they will kick you out. Fair enough, this can be dangerous. Then 20 minutes about how you're really not going to drive fast, disgusted as training. I understand if they didn't take safety precautions the cars would all be wrecked and probably a lot of hurt people. My issue is you have to coast through the turns and accelerate in the straights, but they use cones to mark where you can step on it and have to slow down. I estimate you coast on about 60% of the track. If you don't follow the rules, they will kick you out. In my case we had a VERY slow driver, so I got to follow him for much of my 10 laps. Why, you can only pass when they say and in the straights. Again, I know this is for safety. They have a "personal spotter" for each driver. We had one for three cars and they yelled commands constantly, but most of the commands I didn't know who they were talking to, even though we had car numbers. My recommendation: if you have never driven remotely fast or only owned a slow car, this is for you. Or just do the ride along experience, they rip it for you in a real NASCAR. The cost is probably in line since the cars are expensive, but you still don't get to drive fast, so keep that in mind. Oh, DON'T bother with the insurance unless you are a really bad driver. It's so regulated you would have to purposefully wreck the car. It's an easy $60 in their pocket.

Unfortunately, I never got to see the Lorcana binder as my boyfriend never pointed it out and assumed I knew where it was. But that just means we can come visit again some other time. My boyfriend was able to score the Lorwyn commander decks for $80 which is a steal! The staff here seem very friendly and helpful. They always checked to see if any customers, including us, needed any help looking for anything. They also give kids a booster pack as one of their regulars will come in and buy a booster box for the staff members to hand out a Pokemon booster to any young child that walks in. They also told me that the store is dog friendly as long as they are well behaved and on a leash. The store seems to be divided for those looking for sports cards and memorabilia and the other section focusing on TCGs such as Pokemon, Lorcana, Magic, and more. They have great stock of sleeves, mats, and other TCG needs. Additionally, they have plenty of tables and chairs for their TCG events.

They weren't friendly when answering my questions and kind of looked at me as if I was incompetent. One employee was nice, but they were newly hired. Everyone else didn't seem friendly too. The place has a lot of TCG cards, whether it's for sports or etc. If you're expecting to sell or trade your cards, do not expect a fair deal! They will for sure give you way less money/credit than the product is worth. Anyways, great products that they have, but customer service is below average.
