This week was her first visit in a long time. Tracy was assigned to her. I was absolutely blown away with how phenomenal he was with her. He explained every step in such a positive and engaging way that she wasn't afraid of the noises, physical sensations or the sharpness of some of the equipment. Have you ever wondered what would happen if a Disney princess decided to become a dentist? :) Dr. Deuk is the closest thing! I have a very un-chill 2 year old who was not very excited when we entered the examination room for his first visit. We came in for my 2 year old's first dentist visit. We had been cautious due to COVID. I did my research to try to find the best dentist in the area since I also am particular about my dental experiences. Both of my grandkids (12 & 3 years old) go to Dr. Deuk. My granddaughter has been w Dr. Deuk since we moved from our 1000 Oaks property to the SFV. A Childhood dentist is, "the most important" to experience from the moment children get their first tooth on... I am SO impressed with the dentist and their staff! They are true 'pediatric' dentists. They made my son, who was scared of dentists, who didn't like brushing his teeth and hated toothpaste, they made his visit a fun trip! He now loves brushing and says he loves dentists! Their bedside manner is so great, from the interactions, songs, and games to the little goody bag full of treats they give. I was dreading this visit and they made it a walk in the park! Despite the receptionist letting Dr. Deuk know several times that we were next, the dr called in another patient before us, maybe because of their skin color. We were there before the other patient, & the other patient also had the same appointment time as us. Perhaps the dr may've thought that we were too stupid to understand what was going on. Dr Deukmajian is so friendly, loving and positive. My 6 year old had to come in for a cavity (that she had before we started seeing Dr. D.). We came on the wrong day but the staff was so helpful and found a way to accommodate us. I was so relieved because I had made arrangements to have my other child baby sat during the appointment. Things went so smoothly as Dr. D gave her a some gas and a few minutes later my daughter didn't even realize that she had received a numbing agent! She was happy the entire time, as she watched the Trolls movie on a screen above her chair. What a relief! As a matter of fact, Dr. D told her that the whole appt was just some "extra cleaning", so she did not have to deal with added anxiety. We love Dr. D!!!! read more

If you're anything like me, just the idea of seeking a doctor/dentist for your kids gives you anxiety which then causes you to put it off for the longest amount of time possible. But in moving to a new area, I new this day would come. I followed my gut and went with Dr. Deukmedjian and I am beyond impressed and so grateful. I couldn't have asked for a more competent, kind, professional, and considerate dentist. Dr. Deukmedjian has been nothing short of amazing. Her staff is friendly... I especially appreciate the women at the front desk who are very knowledgeable and answer all my questions regarding insurance, co-payments, and break downs of the work thats to be done at each appointment in a professional, timely, and concise manner. All three of my kids need cavity treatments and I've felt really good about the straightforwardness of Dr. Deukmedjian and her staff. So far one of my kids has gotten work done (3 years old, got laughing gas, then numbing medicine injected via needles, and spent around 45 minutes getting his front teeth fixed and capped) and I was in awe at how quickly Dr. Deukmedjian and her assistant worked, but especially how great she was in ensuring a pain-free comfortable and even fun session for my kid. She was so great and now my other kids can't wait for their appointments! What kids (especially with cavity work that needs to be done) are excited to go to the dentist?! *Kids that go to Dr. Deukmedjian, that's who. Lol. Dr. Deuk and everyone in the office is the best! We have gone to this Pediatric Dentist office since kids got their first tooth over 10 years ago and have had the best experience since. Everything is done quickly, painlessly and fun for the kids. Even cavity fillings are super easy! My kids don't "love" to go to the dentist but they don't mind it for their twice a year cleanings so that's good right? Dr. Deuk was so kind. When my son was panicking and wouldn't get out of the car she came all the way down to my car and was able to get my 10 year old son into her office, get his teeth cleaned and, this is the big one, fill his cavity!! He has a phobia of anything medical and she earned his trust and didn't lie or trick him into anything. I definitely will only be taking him to her, even if we moved an hour away! I recently took my 16 month old to see Dr. Deuk for her very first checkup and it was great!! Everyone in that office was friendly especially Dr. Deuk. Dr. Deukmedjian & her team are amazing. They fit us in within a week (which was great because I was nervous). Both my son & daughter went 3yo & 5yo. My 5yo was very nervous at first and everyone made him feel so comfortable that he was then anxiously asking when his teeth were going to be cleaned . Her team came in early, just for us, on Saturday to get our 1st 2 fillings. As fillings can go it went very well. My son needed the nitrous oxide and he was able to watch his favorite show while they did work. She explained everything to my son in a way that he understood . My child is very anxious about the dentist. Dr. Deuk was wonderful with him. It was by far the calmest he has ever been at the dentist's office. She made sure he was comfortable, explained each part of the process of the filling in a way that did not scare him and let him touch all the tools for himself. We are so happy we found Dr. Deuk! Our 3 year old daughter needed some work done on her cavities, so it was important for us to find a good pediatric dentist that would provide a great experience for her. We had taken our older child to another pediatric dentist in the past that seemed more concerned about getting their patients in and out as quickly as possible rather than providing a high level of care. After a couple of days of research, we decided to take her to Dr Deuk. It was clear in the first few minutes of her first visit with Dr Deuk that we had made the right choice. After having a HORRIFYING experience at DR. DOVE in Chatsworth, CA, my 5 year old was traumatized to say the least. Dr Deuk is an angel dentist. My daughter is now four and has been to Dr. Deuk 3 times for 2 check ups and a cleaning. I love this office and her practice for a couple of reasons (I have several but will keep it brief, considering...) First off, for my daughter to enjoy anything I strongly dislike is a great victory. Second, the staff in this office really takes the time to make the child feel at ease and comfortable. They are talkative, professional, friendly and warm. There is an ambience of light, fun as opposed to the antiseptic cold feel of some regular dentist offices I have visited in my time. This is my first child and before Dr. Deuk I never thought of, or considered what type of dentist office I would take her to. I wasn't sure pediatric care would make any difference? I'll tell you what, I don't think I have that answer still (pediatric care vs regular) what I DO know is the difference between good and poor service and good and poor business practice. Dr. Deuk's office is the example of the "good " in both of these areas. This office has my 5 stars and my loyalty as a patient. There isn't enough stars to rate Dr. Deuk.!! I had taken my 4 year old daughter with other dentists and had not found one that impressed me. My daughter had to get work done and she wasn't one to sit there and take it the normal way. I saw another dentist that had no patience and immediately suggested IV sedation,which became a red flag. I requested a second opinion with Dr. Deuk she recommended laughing gas which my older daughter had done before. On our visit my 4 year old daughter did not want to sit in the chair or put the laughing gas nose on, Dr. Deuk came in and talked to her and even sang Disney songs to her and made her feel so comfortable and immediately got the work done with no problem.
