Sorry but this place is very dirty looking and very secluded. However, there were a lot souvenirs that we bought for cheap. At least cheaper than it would've been had we actually bought them from the places itself. (I THINK ) Anywho, I spent more than I should've here. We only needed certain things & if we didn't need it, we probably wouldn't have came here. As we were ready to walk to cash out, a man approached us suggesting to pay him for the items we had. At first I wasn't sure if I heard it correctly & then my hubby asked what did he say, I then told him. I was right! He was willing to steal ALL of our items for us and then meet him afterwards & pay him a lesser amount than it would cost. LOL! Only problem is... I DONT STEAL! Sorry guy! They had the OTC medication I needed for airplane ear, soda, Gatorade, and snacks. Uniformed security was inside, and beggars were outside. I was glad to have a neighborhood Walgreens within walking distance during my stay in Belltown. Pricy. Charge for bags. read more

Made an appointment to get tested for Covid /flu . Parking was easy plenty of spaces and was seen within 10 minutes and got the test done A-B . Went home to rest and got test results about 29 minutes later and tested negative for Covid/Flu . So was happy to hear it was just a chest cold . read more

A 5 star drug store... well yes please! Giving this spot 5 stars because of location, stocked items and friendly employees!! We were a part of the mass of people headed to the cruise ships. I decided I should probably bring more Dramamine than I had in my just in case (good call by the way). We stayed at the holiday in which was a short walk! Rude. That's the only way I can describe this pharmacy. My prescriptions were sent to the wrong pharmacy and the woman on the phone spoke like she was just trying to get the call over with. I called again later to ask a question regarding my doctor. As calm as possible I mentioned that I was the one who called earlier, she immediately just said "I told you it was sent to the CVS." The pharmacy is great. Staff is extremely professional and explains everything really well. They provide text message updates when your prescription is available for pickup, which is extremely convenient and helpful. Prescriptions are also ready pretty quickly, unlike the nearby Bartell's which never had it ready until I'd badger them. read more

I usually try to avoid this Walgreens, although one of my prescriptions is handled by the pharmacy, and I must visit once a month. However, I needed to pick up some things for my wife who had a bad cold. I was wandering around, lost as usual, when Patrick, the guy in charge of stock and supply at this Walgreens, asked if he could help. I was astounded. This kindness is not often seen in Seattle. He helped me find what I needed, and Patrick even ran downstairs for the two boxes of Kleenex my wife requested. He was warm, friendly and helpful. I wish I could rate the pharmacy and the retail side separately. It is like fire and ice, the two. I haven't gone back to the retail side since my bad experience, but the pharmacy is just too convenient for me not to go. With that being said, the pharmacy is just amazing. Best customer service. I was in line, waiting for my turn, and the person at the counter was filling out some paperwork. The pharmacist saw me, recognized me, grabbed my things for me, then on the next register, gave me my stuff after doing the whole verification process that we need to go through by default, but she already knows who I am. I keep trying to find her name tag so I can finally start greeting her the way she does to me. If I could rate the two separately, I would give the pharmacy is 5. But since this goes for the whole thing and I already have a rating of 1 that was done, I'm going to give a 3 as to not offset the other rating too much. Just keep in mind that if you go just for the pharmacy, you're in great hands. read more

I expect that the pharmacy will be slow since our healthcare system is a mess, but wow. I have never had to wait so long for them to help me after waiting to get my vaccine. Then it wasn't defrosted even though I had scheduled the appointment days in advanced. Other people that were there waiting to pick up their already completed prescriptions said they had been waiting for 45 minutes. Had to reschedule vaccine appointment and had to call to remind them to defrost the vaccine the day of. Then they canceled my second appointment via email without telling me why. After spending almost two hours on hold they tell me my insurance won't cover it and that it will cost $300. The vaccine is free everywhere else. A more experienced pharmacist would have been able to tell me this earlier in the process. You'll get faster service if you took a bus to Bellevue and picked up your prescription than at this place. They aren't just understaffed, they are completely disorganized. read more

The worse pharmacy in Belltown. I never review anything and try to give everyone a fair shot, but this place managed to treat me like garbage both times I tried their pharmacy -- six years apart no less! Like most people in Seattle, my beloved Bartell Drugs closed on me. I blame Ride Aid who bought all Bartell locations, just to close most of them in a couple years. Anyway, my prescriptions were forward to Walgreens without my knowledge. First I tried the downtown 3rd Avenue location, the pharmacy staff was nice, but that location is horrendous, the neighborhood is like The Walking Dead. So then I tried this Denny Street location... I get there at 5PM and the pharmacy was closed for the day. Next day, I call and call, each time their answering machine tells you to wait, they even tell you your place in line, give you a countdown till you're next, then nobody ever answers. Their App is equally worthless. So then I go there and wait in line for 30 minutes, all that to have some inconsiderate and obnoxious pharmacist tell they can't fill your prescription for a week! They need to confirm something with my doctor. Sure, who cares what the doctors and cancer specialist prescribed? The genius pharmacist has issues with the prescription. And no, the prescription was not even for an opiate. Cute stuff coming from Walgreens who made billions from illegally selling pain meds to junkies and dealers in the last 20 years. I, of course, told them to keep the rest of my meds and that I'll never be back. I got home and transferred all my prescriptions to Amazon Pharmacy, they will have them at my doorstep the next day, for cheaper. Thankfully, I will never have to step one foot in a Walgreens again. read more

I live one block from here and will drive somewhere to avoid it. I've never had an order right and always have to come back 2 or three times. My dentist gave me a script for prescription toothpaste. (Prevident by Colgate.) Walgreens wanted $26 for the tiny tube. My dentist had approved generic and I had a coupon for generic. I asked if I could get the generic brand (State Law requires they do). First she said Prevident was generic and she couldn't sub one generic for another. (Both statements absolutely not true. There's a reason for the Registered trademark.) She said she would talk to the dentist I came back a few days later and she says the script had been changed.....basically the flavoring only. She couldn't substitute. I walked out paying $26 for two weeks of toothpaste. I actually filed a complaint with the Pharmacy Board. When it was time to renew, I went to QFC on Mercer. I explained what I wanted, the pharmacist said sure, and I walked out paying $5 for the generic. I've never left the pharmacy there without feeling like I've been ripped off. Funny thing was that another Walgreens said they would do it but didn't have it in stock. It feels like they go out of their way to make life miserable. read more

Ok yes, no one really cares about a rating for a Walgreens so this is specifically about the pharmacy and after moving here from Santa Monica and honestly waiting sometimes 30 minutes or more in a CVS pharmacy line that reached out the door (yes the front door in a very large CVS-heck I could have died of whatever ailment I had waiting for my prescription)...yeah I am going to review the pharmacy at Walgreens. 1. It has a mini parking lot. :) 2. I have waited less than 5 minutes to get my prescription (CVS in Santa Monica should come spy on this Walgreens to see how they are doing it right). 3. Walgreens in Seattle transferred all my prescriptions from CVS in CA for me. 4. There is a young man (I am not sure what his name is-He has longer dark hair and some piercings) he has been there the last 2 times I have picked up prescriptions...He is the nicest, kindest and most respectful person working the pharmacy. Thank you! If you don't want a huge ordeal when you pick up your meds come here and fill your prescriptions. read more

If you want a deranged lady (Mein is, apparently, the pharmacy "manager") to scream over you at the top of her lungs while threatening to "cancel" your prescription instead of let you pay in cash because of an insurance billing issue which wasn't remotely your fault... Since one of us wasn't completely prepared for the weather here (awesome rain boots but no gloves?), we looked for gloves far and wide. Now who knew that the Walgreens was going to carry the most aesthetically pleasing and cheap (1.99!) gloves for the trip? This Walgreens is well lit and new, with a pharmacy drive thru and everything! I love that they are open until midnight. I noticed their selection of products was on the smaller side but I appreciate the cleanliness, convenience, and friendly service. Whoever is giving this location a 3 stars probably has not visited the dingy ones in SF with homeless people sleeping at the doorsteps. read more

It's a Walgreens. You're going to pay for the convenience here, not going to lie. That, and slap on the 9.5% sales tax here... yeah. This Walgreens is well-stocked and the photo counter people are nice. There is also a (ghetto) Chase ATM here. One pet peeve I have about Walgreens in general is that there a lot of items that are, say, 3 for $2, but you HAVE to buy 3 in order to get the promotion deal. Normally in other stores, it will say 3 for $2 but you don't need to buy all 3 to get the promotion per item. read more

I'm gonna give it an okay rating. The customer service at this location is not up to the standard that I am used to at other Walgreens. However, they almost always have what I need and I have never had an issue with them. The store is a little cramped and disorganized to be a Walgreens to be honest. Otherwise, it's okay and serves it's purpose. I have never tried to use the pharmacy so I'm unsure of that experience. Overall okay place to shop. read more

My glasses broke in a meeting. Without them, I'm legally blind. So I'm looking for that friggin' screw and can't find it. During my next break I look up glasses repair and find two within 5 blocks of my South Lake Union location. First one was closed for no apparent reason. The second was at a location that had new construction going on. Thanks Google and Bing search. Wandering back to my office, I see a Walgreens--thank gawd their sign was so large! There is no one in the shop but the store keeper who meets me at the door. He quickly finds the eye glass repair kit for me. I mention that to fix the glasses would be difficult for me because I can't see, and he offers to do it for me. I like Bartell's because they are local and friendly like this. located in the seattle center area and only a few blocks away from the space needle, this walgreens is a great place to stock up on snacks, drinks and other essentials. Located only a few blocks away from the La Quinta, my friends and I came here to get water and other stuff. It is not a big location but it has what you need especially for those traveling. I did want to mention that the girl working the cash register 3/1 around 5pm was very nice and helpful. read more

I've been going to this Walgreens 1-2 times per week since moving nearby. The store has a lot of great products, as well as some pretty stellar deals. How can you pass up 2 for $1 Arizona Iced Teas? Amazing. Another plus about this location is that the people here are SO nice and are always extremely friendly. What??? I don't look homeless and neither does my 4 year old. While shopping at this location, my child needed to go the restroom. I was told by the staff that their bathroom was not public , and to go across the street to the Hyatt Place Hotel. I'm sure the Hyatt Place Hotel would not be happy to know that Walgreen's employees are sending their customers to use their bathrooms. I understand that there are savory people in this neighborhood and you are trying to weed out certain people, but I just spent $46 in your store- I have more of a right to use your bathrooms than the Hyatt's across the street. read more

AWFUL customer service! Had to listen to approximately 60 seconds of ads before I could even hear the menu options when calling in. Then was transferred then put on hold, then hung up on. Originally transferred my prescription from another location due to location. Then drive 45 minutes for a prescription that was supposed to be filled within the half hour. I get here and they say my prescription was filled at the other location. Said she tried to call me to ask which pharmacy I wanted it sent to (despite the dentist calling in twice to set the record straight) but I recorded no such call. Lady working the desk noticed my frustrated and was only more cross and demeaning in her interactions with me. Will NEVER come back. read more

Terrible customer service. A sales associate named Dean was rude and lacked empathy towards myself and the client I was with. My client and I were waiting for her prescription to be ready after she had just finished a surgical procedure. She needed to use the restroom and the sales associate told her it was on the second floor. She was in a wheel chair (from the surgery) and he would not put in the code for her to get up the elevator to use the restroom. He was very irritable towards her and I had to start getting cranky with him when he refused to help her with the elevartor. (It wasn't like he was not allowing her to use the restroom, just was too lazy and rude to help my disabled client get to it, when he was the only person with the code.) read more

My spouse has an upper respiratory infection and needed Wal-Phed. We took the cardboard slip to the pharmacy to buy a box of this controlled substance, but something came up on the screen that the cashier was seeming untrained for. He had to call over pharmacist Lulit Essayas for assistance. She gruffly informed us that my spouse was over the federal pseudoephedrine limit and wasn't allowed to buy any, either from Walgreens or anywhere else. Neither of us had purchased any since last year, so there was some sort of mistake. However, Lulit just said there was nothing she could do and looked at us disdainfully. The basic fundamentals of customer service - courtesy, respect, sympathy - were completely lacking from her approach. After a heated exchange, she eventually told us that there was a website (NPLEx) we had to visit to find out why we had been banned. When I asked her to provide this information to us, she had to walk away in order to go write it down. Why this information isn't pre-printed for a cashier to hand out is a mystery, especially as NPLEx requires a specific transaction number from off of the checkout screen. Lulit failed to provide this number to us, making our interaction with NPLEx somewhat difficult and pointless. Based on other personal information provided to them, NPLEx have no record of my spouse having purchased any pseudoephedrine in the past 30 days. Lulit Essayas needs a customer service training course ASAP. This was the second time I have had a negative interaction with her and I simply have not been back to the store since then. I only came here because it was an emergency and I can safely say that she is consistently unpleasant. Despite being the closest pharmacy to us, neither of us will be back. read more

Cool Walgreens! Open late, and across the street from my hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I was in here for about fifteen minutes looking for snacks and souvenirs. Different employees kept coming up to me and asking me if i needed anything. I am not sure if they were genuinely kind or they thought I looked suspicious. The only con of this Walgreens is that there is no actual cashier at the front of the store. One must go to the back of the store where the parking lot is located in order to check out. Delays of many hours hours for important medicines like antibiotics and birth control, and patronizing and aggressive response your complains I had to wait 5 hours for antibiotics I needed after a dental procedure, they first said it was 15 minutes and I had to go 3 times to the store to get the antibiotics. They only care about solving the problem when you insist firmly. That made me at risk of getting an infection after the surgery. Yesterday my wife asked for a refill of her birth control, that was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. This morning they tell us that they don't have that brand, and that they sent us a message. We have been using this pharmacy for 2 years and receiving messages just fine, but there was no message this time. So my wife will start the new hormonal cycle with a delay. This incompetency has impact in our health. And their response is patronizing, and today even aggressive. read more

I love the pharmacist at this Walgreens. They are always super friendly and helpful. They make getting prescriptions actually fun, which I'm not sure that is really a possible statement. I can call in my prescriptions and have them ready when I need them. Also the selection in the store is well stocked. I can come here shop and grab my prescriptions. Although this Walgreens is extremely convenient to my office, I find that it usually takes 5-10 minutes to track down a cashier. Not to mention they are constantly re-stocking the shelves and out of product. My cashier Cheema is definitely the highlight of my visits, she knows me by name and is always quick and efficient at getting me in and out in a timely manner. (Be careful though - if you are shopping too long there is a HIGH risk of getting a parking ticket) read more

After several months of living a block away, I have grown to appreciate this Walgreens. The cons I mentioned in my last review still stand, but I neglected to mention any pros. The biggest thing that keeps me coming back (aside from the convenience) is the staff. Everyone is super nice. The pharmacists truly seem to care.
