Let me list a few things that peaked my interest. 1) There are structured classes such as Zumba, Yoga, Lo Impact Aerobics, Tai Chi, Cardio Boxing,Water fitness, Cycle, etc. 2) There are free weights, treadmills, elliptical, exercise bikes, ladder, weight systems, TRX suspension, and other fitness equipment. 3) There is a sauna and pool inside the facility. The pool's water is generally 80-86 degrees. 4) There are daily lockers for use, showers, changing rooms, etc. 5) For parents, there's an onsite childcare room. 6) Offers 1-year and 2-year memberships -- I thought it was very economical for full-facility use including classes, pool, and sauna. They offer personal training packages, TRX and boot camps sessions, smaller/customized classes, and nutritionist support for a nominal fee.

While Planet Fitness is inexpensive and caters to newbies, there's a lot of frustrating things there for people who want to progress. The space is clean, well-equipped, and organized. They don't oversell memberships, so there's no issues with waiting for equipment. I feel like at Forged someone can start new and then grow into a fitness lifestyle at a pace that is comfortable for them, and at the same time people who are really focused can get all that they want and more. I've become more of the latter over time. The owner is friendly, and he continually makes improvements based on member input. They also offer behavioral support that is not found elsewhere. Some of my close friends live in Brandon, so I convinced them to come with me as this locations offers a one day free trial for local residents, and this location appeared to have great reviews. We visited the gym on a Sunday morning, and both me and my friends were received with such hostility that I apologized for bringing them to that location afterwards. The gentleman at the main desk made comments such as : "Are you actually here for memberships or is this just another tire kicker for you?" And "I don't want to deal with this GymPass crap, just do the daily pass, it's faster". Once he saw my out of state ID, he stated "Oh, you're from Utah? You definitely won't be doing a membership then". Sir, of course I'm from out of State, my employer provides me with Gympass, if you're not familiar how the program works or if you're unhappy with it, you're more than welcome to cancel your enrollment. And if that's the reception you're providing for anyone enrolling under your 1-day pass, maybe it simply shouldn't exist. I'll point this out though, the facility itself is great, with clean machines and plenty of equipment.

Hands down the worst gym in the area…read more Overpriced for what they offer. Let me start with the bad. The blonde haired manager, Elyse is the worst excuse for a manager I have experienced. How she got that position is a mystery. Not only is she rude to patrons, but she makes the experience extremely uncomfortable and difficult because she is just plain nasty. The worst part is that there have many reviews exposing Elyse the manager for her nasty behavior and incompetence dating back years. But nothing was done about it. They allowed her nasty and incompetent behavior to fester. Elyse will ignore patrons who come to the front desk until they call to get her attention. Even when she finally acknowledges you, she will give you abrasive and aloof treatment. I can even re-call one time that I purchased a temporary membership which required only showing my driver's license. She challenged me on it and didnt allow me in the gym even though I paid for the temporary membership. Only after another staff vouched for me did she let me in. Not once did she apologize for her mistake or abrasive behavior. This is not the first time she has behaved inappropriately. Avoid this place.
