This review is past ovedue, but I want to write about this locally owned family business. Located in the heart of Orlando, this cookie bakery is nothing like any other. I was planning a 4th birthday party for my daughter with "4-ever sweet" theme. For party favors, I chose various keepsakes that had a connection to sweet treats. But instead of loading the boxes with candy, I went to Ashley, the owner of Phat Ash Bakes. The process of designing the perfect cookie was fun, easy and tapped into my creative side of the brain. Ashley patiently replied to every email offering options and gently making suggestions that would best suit my little girl. She even created tiny samples for easier decision making. Each cookie came individually sealed in festive looking bag for prolonged freshness. We also froze a few to share them later with friends who could not attend the party. Pink icing, animal cracker and edible glitter, everything little girl's heart desired, the cookies were a hit and savoured by children and adults alike! First time trying at the Parking Lot Party on Mills 50. Met Ash whom is very sweet, cool and helpful when choosing a cookie for your personal pallet. I ordered a Birthday Bananas Cookie ($6) - this was everything I didn't know I needed in a cookie! It taste like banana bread mixed with birthday cake cookie dough. And there's a icing like filling in the middle. *chefs kiss* Cloud9 Cookie ($6) - was pretty good it's not as sweet as the one above. It gives macadamia nut cookie with sprinkles. It's worth a try but I'm a bit biased because I'm a bigger fan of the Banana bread taste. It goes without saying I'm looking forward to checking out more flavors soon. read more

I really enjoy Phat Ash Bakes cookies. They are loaded with quality ingredients and baked to perfection. I recently purchased my two favorite cookies. The Cookie Butter n' Dream and a Old Skewl. The Old Skewl is a peanut butter based cookie with mixed in broken peanut butter sandwich cookies, peanut butter chips and a nutter butter cookie on top. The Cookie Butter n' Dream is a vanilla cookie with mixed in chocolate sandwich cookies, vanilla sandwich cookies, biscoff cookies , cookie butter and white chocolate. Some of the best cookies I've ever had! I found Phat Ash Bakes through an Instagram account that I follow and I am so glad I did. In order to secure some very delicious cookies, you've got to be sure to be on their website right at 11:00 AM on Saturdays to place your order. After placing your order, you are able to pick up your cookies the following day during a specific time window, or you can pick them up throughout the week. I decided to try the Blue Dream, Florida Man, and Birthday Bananas cookies and they were all amazing! I really liked that all of them weren't absurdly sweet, to the point where you could actually taste the various flavor notes of each cookie. While the taste alone is absolutely worth a 5+ star review, I did find that the cookies were a bit pricier than I had hoped for in terms of the size of them. Regardless, I will likely be ordering more in the future! read more

Such a unique find in Orlando. I went during the Friday opening hours to pick up a few cookies to try. The space is very small for the "viewing" of what is offered for the week so you can feel rushed if there are other people waiting. The cookies were amazing! We've been ordering from Phat Ash Bakes ever since we came across these flavor bombs on IG during lockdown. We mail order to CA as soon as they post on the website (supplies limited, y'all). Phat Ash Bakes became a mandatory stop on our WDW vacation. That's right, folks. These cookies are literally worth flying across the country and skipping a day at Disney World to get. Not even a close contest since a cookie not even half as good as these would cost twice as much inside the park. These cookies will make you feel the feels and make pleasure noises. OMG is just the tip of the iceberg of how delicious these cookies are. Don't even get me started on the crazy varieties and flavors. Just trust that they've got a variety for everyone's favorite. This was one good ash cookie! Went to the Orlando parking lot party and happened to see that Phat Ash Bakes was there. Seen a few videos in instagram and was excited to be able to finally try them out. I ordered the cloud 9 cookie and it was really tasty. For about $6 you get a a good size cookie filled with teddy grahams, funfetti cake, white chocolate chips and sprinkles. It's was soft with a little bit of crunch. Wanted to try some other cookies but by the time I made it to the line they were mostly sold out. I cannot wait to try some other options. Definitely going back to get more!!! read more

I feel bad saying it, but the cookies are just okay. As you can see from others pictures, they pack a ton of stuff in the cookies but they somehow just come out average tasting? They look amazing but it's a let down when you actually bite into them. I think it's the cookie dough base that needs fine tuning. They're more expensive than Gideons and not as good. Their location has their entrance in the back near the alley which is cute and covert and the guy who greeted me was very nice. The display is great and so is the packaging with lots of variety and rotating flavors. read more

Cookies were DELICIOUS! Went to the walk up hours, was in the area and have been wanting to try these for quite some time now. Little mini cute courtyard with a table that they go into their kitchen and grab the cookies. Cookies are pricey but hey where are they not. Each cookie is 5 dollars with an exception of the chocolate chip which is smaller and priced at 4.25. I will say they are delicious and fresh. Soft and have a variety of flavors. There was a handful of flavors but had to only pick a few it was tough. The lemon was to die for! The old skewl which was like a peanut butter and jelly was also amazing. I mean to be honest they were ALL delish but i wouldn't get the snicker than a snicka or whatever it's called. Lol. But instead repeat these or try another. Their chocolate chip was also phenomenal. Soft and tasty! The owner of vespr another delicious coffee shop was there and saw that I was having a hard time picking between the original chocolate chip and another fancy cookie and recommended I try the chocolate chip and was she right... I think I'll always get their chocolate chip and try new cookies. Also she was there picking up cookies to sell at her store so another spot you can grab these cookies if you're in the east Orlando area. Highly recommend if you're a cookie monster or wanting something deliciously sweet! Forgot to mention the amazing packaging for each cookie. So like many instagram foodies, I follow an ungodly amount of giant cookie shops across the nation. I've been following Phat Ash Bakes for awhile and it has been on my list of dessert spots to try in Orlando. The months of insta-stalking was well worth the wait when I was finally able to try them at a pop-up this past December. O.M.G. These cookies are known for being massive and absolutely loaded with so many sweet treats. Of course, the first comparison most make is Gideon's but I consider these cookies another, separate, delicious on their own. To break it down: 1. The Size - These cookies are a solid 1/4lber. Big enough to share, or, if you're a real-life cookie monster like me, devour with a glass of non-dairy milk while binge watching GBBO. 2. The Dough - I got the First Frost cookie, which is a coconut macaroon inspired one. The dough was so soft with the perfect amount of crumble. A rich vanilla flavor with a hint of coconut. It had chunks of coconut macaroons in it for extra flair. I will admit that some of the other cookies are loaded with a lot of very sweet add-ins, so if you regularly think to yourself "this is perfect because it's not too sweet", be conscious of the natural sweetness of those flavors. However, the coconut macaroon was the perfect amount of sweetness for me, and really, it's a cookie, so I'm not gonna complain about sweetness. The dough is really helpful in toning down the sweetness of the fillings and add ins. 3. The Filling - Each cookie, excluding the chocolate chip, is stuffed with some delicious ooey gooey filling. First Frost has a delicious coconut cream that perfectly rounds out the coconut flakes. She does suggest serving the cookies at room temperature, but I'm a rebel who needs her cookies warm so I defied orders and this does cause the filling to leak out. I certainly didn't mind, but listen to the instructions if you want that picturesque cross section. Overall, this spot is most definitely a 5 out of 5 cookie spot if you're looking for a good local cookie spot in the Orlando area. Take this from a gal who knows her way around some cookies --never skip on some cookies. read more

Every week I say I don't need to buy more cookies and every week they suck me back in with their ridiculous concoctions. The cookies should be registered as deadly weapons, the "Just Peachy pie" killed my diet. Extra large and perfect for cutting up and sharing (or not!).
