What a cute little place. Only 1 party allowed inside at a time. Bathroom is cute. We ordered 1 to share among 4. The ice is definitely different than Chinese shave ice. Somehow it tastes lighter. Kinda tricky to eat since it was still hot out felt like we were racing against the melting to eat it! It was tasty and I liked the little mochi balls hidden inside. Plenty of outdoor seating and luckily it was evening so the sun didn't feel that strong. Would be back!

This place was such a disappointment. It took over 30mins to get this, it's like did you go to Iceland to get this ice??? The lady stated 10mins ..... Then on the menu this strawberry milk did not mention having matcha. As I was eating it, the center was green and it was matcha and gross. For $18 not worth it. And lastly they didn't even apologize for the extreme long wait. There's better places servicing this kind of dessert.
I can't wait to come back and try the shaped dice. This is a perfect spot to come delicious Matcha and adorable area.
I came here one night after dinner wanting a very unique dessert. I'd never had Japanese shaved ice, and I'd heard that this the best version of it in all of Orlando. So I was pretty hyped. We pull in pretty late, but thankfully there is parking in their tiny little parking lot that they share with Kaya. We browse the menu, and their Classics all sound pretty good, but the seasonal they were offering was just too good to pass up, the Ube Coconut (Black sesame corn flakes, Milk or oat milk, Pandan jelly, Jackfruit, Sweet red beans). When I first saw this thing, first of all, it was stunningly beautiful, but secondly, I was worried that maybe all of the toppings were just sprinkled on top and that the shaved ice was going to be barren and boring within, towards the center. But boy was I wrong. Everything was mixed and layered well throughout the whole ball of happiness. Everything played its part in making it more interesting. The obvious crunch from the corn flakes, the sweetness of the pervasive oak milk, the chewy jellies, everything did its job. Very well-crafted dessert. So thanks to Koko, because my very first example of Japanese shaved ice was really a club banger, and I can't imagine it being any better anywhere else.

The ice quality was top notch, super light and perfectly shaved. I ordered the seasonal matcha and strawberry, and the flavors were incredibly well balanced, not overly sweet at all. The matcha, in particular, tasted like high-quality matcha, which made a huge difference. I was genuinely mind blown today and will definitely be stopping by for more kakigori whenever I'm in the area. They also offer coffee, which I'm excited to try next time!
Pros: Ambiance was so cute. A little building in the back of the Kaya property. Cute little Asian trinkets greeting your eye. Service was excellent. Very friendly guy at the counter, and the dessert was obviously crafted painstakingly from scratch. Loved it. The thing itself was delicious. Such finely shaved ice, and it was layered beautifully with all the toppings. Very good stuff. Cons: Not a single con. All good stuff. Tips: We got the ube coconut, which was packed full of delicious fillings. I feel like you need more toppings to make this giant ball of ice continuously interesting.
Some of the most unique drink flavors in Orlando! One of my friends introduced this to me as "dessert drinks" and I'm SOLD. They have matchas, teas, Vietnamese coffee, fruit refreshers, and coconut chills. The coconut chills blew my mind. In particular the Corn chill- sweet corn cream, coconut Sago, and salted corn kernels. I love corn and attend every corn event in Central Florida which means I've tried tons of corn beverages, but they all taste not great. Koko's corn chill drink is exactly what I've hoped for! It tastes like light refreshing creamed sweet corn. The kernels come up the straw and add a pleasant crunch. It wasn't too sweet, not too creamy, not too chunky, literal perfection. Even my friends who are picky loved it. It's a seasonal drink, so make it over there while corn season still lasts. They regularly change their menu similarly to their lot sister, Kaya. Ingredients are based off what's fresh in season. The Merry Matcha with rosemary sage match, raspberry sauce, and honey cold foam is a completely different flavor profile as the corn chill. Very herbal, floral, and earthy. Absolutely delicious and I wouldn't consider it a dessert. Well balanced and not too sweet. Great morning matcha. The building is small, so it only allows one party at a time. They have a nice awning out front to stay away from the sun while you wait to order. Inside they have a few items for sale like ceramic kitchen wear and clothes merchandise. Once you order, you can wait under the giant Sacred Bodhi tree. I probably spelled that wrong, but it's stunning and they even have events like Jazz nights under that tree regularly.

They are small, so they have a one party (2-3 ppl) at a time rule. I got the Matcha Green tea with Earl Grey syrup. It was delicious! It had a lovely Earthy flavor, and wasn't too sweet! They only use ceremonial green tea from Japan. I can't wait to go back!
I had the most delicious Black Sesame & Strawberry coconut slush. I'd originally gone to get shaved ice, but didn't realize they stopped selling it after 8pm. I'm glad they did, be a use I would have never tried the coconut slush instead. I look forward to returning for the shaved ice.
Really happy I found this random kakigori shave ice place, especially in the Florida heat! It's so random that it looks like you're driving into someone's house, though there's a sign at the driveway entrance. There are only a couple of parking spaces available, though I don't think this place is too known, as we were the only ones there. There are numerous benches and tables outside, where you must eat. While I would generally fear for the heat melting any icy desserts I have in this type of weather, I believe you'll be able to eat it all very fast since it's that good. The interior is where you order and peruse merchandise. The ceramics are handmade, and some are purchasable. The flavor selection is mostly Asian-oriented, some seasonal, and all sound tempting. After you order, you're asked to select a dish to use for your kakigori. The carefully handcrafted kakigori comes out after a few minutes, and looks so fluffy. Due to the weather, of course it starts dripping, so take your photos fast! I love that they give you a straw, knowing how it melts to soup eventually. Now this was real kakigori, not the fake stuff you get from Disney. I got the strawberry matcha flavor, and it looked like a red drizzled cloud below a whipped matcha mountain with a strawberry tip. Every bite melted into heaven on my tongue. They layered the inside with surprises of the included toppings. Everything was so creamy, refreshing, delicately sweet, and delightfully multi-textured. I cannot wait to visit Orlando again, for this kakigori place will be top on my priority list.
Tried Koko Kakigori and got the Vietnamese iced coffee with cheese foam. The coffee was good and I liked the combination with the cheese foam, it was creamy and had a nice balance of sweet and strong coffee flavor. The shop itself is also really cute and has a cozy vibe. Overall, I enjoyed it and I'm glad I tried it, but I'm not sure it's somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit again.
I tried Koko Kakigori for the first time and had their seasonal Matcha Shiso Kakigori and wow, it was amazing! The shaved ice was the softest I've ever had, almost cloud-like, and inside it was filled with red bean and mochi for the perfect chewy and sweet balance. The matcha shiso cream on top tied everything together with a unique, refreshing flavor that wasn't too heavy. One of the most fun touches was that you get to pick out your own ceramic bowl for the kakigori. It makes the experience feel even more personal and special! Sitting outside was such a nice bonus too, the seating is shaded under a beautiful big tree, making it the perfect spot to enjoy something cold and refreshing. Only thing that I would change is the hours. I always want to stop by here for dessert on our date nights, but they're always closed. Overall, such a yummy experience and definitely worth coming back to try more flavors!
Vibe was fun, it's a tiny cafe only allowing one party in at a time. They do have a tent at the entrance so customers can seek shade in the hot Florida sun! The staff was very friendly as it was our first time, they helped guide us to the strawberry matcha! Okay I'm back and this time I shared a shaved ice with my bestie We were out all day at the gardens and had a lovely picnic but we wanted something cold and sweet after being out under the sun. When she mentioned icecream.... Shaved ice my brain lit up and I suggested Koko. She was down! And it was honestly the best decision we made.We didn't want something so heavy but needed the sweet/cool and this delivered. My only issue........ is the red beans. I kept them even though I'm not a fan, but wanted to give them a chance. Let's just say it felt like I was eating Hispanic black beans but that's just my opinion. I'm pretty sure most people will read this and say I'm the crazy one. I will be coming back to try all the other flavors of shaved ice just no beans read more

Koko Chill - mango coconut: a slush drink with sago in it; the flavors were refreshing and the mango and coconut were not overpowering each other; the sago gave the drink a good texture/gives you something to chew as youre drinking. read more

I have been wanting to try this since they opened, and FINALLY went this weekend. It was totally worth the wait and lived up to the hype. The sweetness of the mango with the tartness from the Yuzu work together in the best way. The gummy bits in the middle were a perfect texture contrast to the ice and made it perfect. We were fortunate to get there when there wasn't a line, but it's important to note that they are a small space and only one party can be assisted at a time. This means that they can only take your order once the previous customer's order has been made. Don't let that deter you, because I will gladly wait for this sweet treat. I love hot cocoa during cold weather so when I saw that Koko had a sweet potato hot koko, I had to try it. It was more on the chocolatey side, so I would like it to have a stronger sweet potato flavor so it stands out more, but still really good. read more
What a cute spot! I love it! (bring a friend) What I got the Kuro-Mitsu from their classic series. I love that I was able to get this dairy free as well. The serving was quite big, perfect for 2 people. Not too sweet, just right. There is mochis and warabi mixed in layers, made with love and care Environment The store is super tiny, like so tiny, you can only have 1 party inside at one time. The seating is only outside and under the tree in the open space, and the seating can be limited... I can't imagine summer days! But very very cute place Niceness of the staff Super patient and nice staff. There was only 2 people working, and they bring the food out to you as well! I can tastes the quality of time spent on crafting this, they love what they do Dollar It was 16$ for it and the specials is 18. It is a good portion for 2-3 people. I loved this place! My sister and I were visiting Orlando for the day and decided to stop by, and I'm glad we did. The shop was so cute, and I loved seeing the beautiful ceramics and shirts they had for sale. Everything had such a fun and unique vibe. I definitely recommend trying the matcha with strawberries, it was delicious! The shaded outdoor seating was perfect for the hot day and made the experience even more enjoyable. read more
Orlando~I REALLY wanted to love this little shop. It's cute, it's tiny, it's unassuming, sitting in the back of a parking lot. Difficult to find, but once you do, there is plenty of parking. Their menu is very limited, and they have actually expanded their hours from just a couple of days a week. I let my girlfriend choose the dish that we would try. She said the only thing that sounded good to her was the Strawberry Matcha. I've only had Matcha one time, and that was at Starbucks, so my Matcha expertise is limited. We sat outside under a beautiful big tree and patiently waited for our snowy mountain to arrive. It looked absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, it was probably the worst tasting dessert I've ever had. The Matcha tasted like dirt. There was only a tiny bit of strawberry on top. Mochi, buried somewhere in the middle, had zero taste...And I mean no taste whatsoever. Just a glop of tasteless, rice cake with absolutely no sweetness. (Yes I've had mochi several ) Also, the snow, or shaved ice as we would call it, tasted like water with no syrup, sweetness, or flavoring. There was some sweetened condensed milk drizzled on the ice, but it missed most every area and when you dug into the snow mountain, there was no sweetened condensed milk inside, so it was just melted ice water. I had maybe two bites and my friend had a few bites them we threw it away. I was so disappointed and felt like this was an epic fail because I had been wanting to come here for months. I have been waiting for them to change their hours so it was easier to find time to go. I'm headed back to Saigon Snow where every bite is scrumptious! read more

It's a cute little Japanese shaved ice cafe. Outside seating only. But there is a big tree for some shade. The shaved ice menu is small but unique with seasonal flavors. The two of us shared a mango yuzu shaved ice. We even got to pick the pottery dish for serving. I love that idea. We enjoyed our cooling dessert on a hot summer afternoon. On a hot day, Koko Kakigori is always on the mind. My friend and I usually head that way if we wrap up a meal at Kaya (next door) at a good time. You get so much for your buck and it never disappoints. read more
I was disappointed that their midnight Café didn't come with shaved ice as that's the reason why I came here. We decided to get one of the recommended drinks, which was the sago lush. I've had a decent amount of mango, sago, coconut smoothies, and other parts of the United States however this one was my least favorite. The flavors didn't go too well, there was a crunch whatever that came from, which didn't pair well with the textures of the other things and a drink. Mango would be much better than whatever fruit they used here. It was a bit too tart for my tasting. read more

The pictures online looked unreal so we had to come and try this place out. It's so tiny but so cute! Just a note, you don't eat inside they bring it out to you outside on the table. There's only a few flavors to choose from but they all looked so good. You also get to choose the bowl they put your shaved ice in, very cute! The presentation is beautiful. The flavor and texture was amazing. I am so sad that Pistachio Lemon is a limited time flavor. This was the best shaved ice I have ever had out of all the places around here. This was next level. You need to come here and try this place!! read more
We stumbled upon Koko Kakigori after dining at Kaya, and I was so glad we did! As a huge fan of Taiwanese shaved ice, I was immediately impressed by the delicate, finely shaved ice and balanced flavors of the ube coconut kakigori I tried. It seems like their presentation has been evolving based on their past photos, or maybe it just depends on who's making them, but I wish them continued inspiration in honing their craft and making even grander creations! Just a heads up, they only allow one party to order inside at a time, creating an intimate experience. There's plenty of outdoor seating available to enjoy your kakigori, then just dispose of everything in the provided bus bucket and waste basket outside the store. I'd love to see more shaved ice spots like Koko pop up across the US, and I wish them all the success in helping to create a larger trend! read more

I thought it was nice and had a good uniqueness to it. We had a melon one and a coconut one. The melon was better than the coconut it's very difficult to eat in the heat as it's just melts too fast. It's great to try new things but hard to have me to keep coming back. I would say this was one of those I don't need to come back right away but it was good.. read more
An absolute gem. Nothing is better than Koko Kakigori on a hot day in central Florida. Seating and menu is limited but it's worth it. You can taste the quality in all the ingredients they use and it's super cute that they let you pick out your own bowl to eat from. I'm officially a kakigori fan! This is one of the most refreshing, unique desserts I've ever had and it's become my favorite summer treat. Koko is located behind Kaya in a cute tiny little shop with an ordering counter. There is no indoor seating, but there's plenty of shaded outdoor seating under the stunning Bodhi tree. The flavors of their Japanese shaved ice rotate regularly, but so far I've tried the Mango Mint and the Pistachio Lemon. Both were phenomenal! As you're eating these fun desserts it's like digging for treasure and finding more yummy stuff packed in the middle. I also love that you get to choose the beautiful bowl it is served in from their wall display of handmade ceramics. The ice is very light and fluffy. My husband & I usually share one, but I'm not going to lie -- I could probably crush one all by myself lol. Dinner at Kaya and then Koko for dessert is my favorite date night combo! Be sure to check their IG for their hours as they are typically only open Fri-Sun. read more

The service here is always so lovely and I really appreciate the rotating menu! Just be sure to check if kakigori is in season. It's just the cafe for now but who could be disappointed with a little matcha anyways. I love the tiny cafe and the outdoor area with their huge tree is a really nice spot. We've been here several times and brought different friends who have all enjoyed it. read more
This was such a hidden gem! It's very small so only one group is allowed to go in and order at a time. The menu outdoors isn't very descriptive, so it was helpful to see the breakdown in the menu indoors. I got the kiru mitsu. It had two types of mochi, a big round one (dango) and a thin spreaded one, kinda like chewed gum consistency (warabi). It wasn't overly sweet, the ice was fluffy enough it melted in my mouth right away. It wasn't rough. The red beans were good. The sugar powder was very lightly sweetened. I requested to remove the milk sauce cause I wanted it to be dairy free. The sweetness was perfect. They take tap pay. There's a small restroom indoors. No diaper changing station. The seating area around the tree was in a shaded area. It wasn't too hot but I came in April. I think it would be very hot in the summer to be seating outdoors. Very limited parking available that's shared between this place and Kava next door. It has handicap parking. read more
This place is so hyped up I really was hoping to love it. The day we went is was insanely hot outside and they make you wait under a tent for like 10-15+ minutes because they only let one group in at a time to order and it takes like forever between each order. Also if you don't grab one of the bowls from the wall to give them they won't make it in one they will just put it in a paper cup. We went really because I was obsessed with the idea of them being in the cute handmade bowls but no one told us that we had to pick which one or anything. Was really disappointed about that. Everyone around us seemed to like the ice but I really wasn't loving it. I've had other ones similar at other places and loved them but this wasn't really doing it for me. I had visited Koko Kakigori earlier this year with a few girlfriends and we had the best time. It was a bit cold on the day we went but we still craved a shaved ice dessert after our brunch. Our server was super sweet and offered us tea while we waited for our kakigori to arrive. We shared the Toasted Soy and Ube Coconut kakigori. I loved that the desserts aren't too sweet and have just the right amount of flavoring throughout the shaved ice. I'm definitely a fan and plan to come back whenever I'm back in the area! read more
The Ichigo Matcha shaved ice was so delicious especially for strawberry matcha lovers! The matcha cream on top has a rich and strong flavor, with the strawberry syrup and fresh strawberries balancing everything out. The mochi bits adds chew that makes the texture really pleasant. The restaurant itself is really small so only one group can go in to order at a time. Luckily there's a lot of seating options outside. read more
