We ordered from the limited menu due to just opening. As we sat, waiting for our dinner, the restaurant's temperature felt like it was 50°! They called our number for our dinner. We sat and started eating. We heard many customers telling the folks of the restaurant that the food was delicious. My wife and I agreed that the food tasted good. But the meats were room temperature. The sides equal to a 1/4 cup. Our belief was the meat was served cold and my wife likes a good portion of BBQ Sauce on her pulled pork. Asking for more BBQ sauce, I was handed a small container of BBQ sauce. I would suggest a bottle on the tables of their signature BBQ Sauce. As our legs were getting cold, we left.

We ordered both the spinach rice and the red bean peas rice, with brown stew chicken, and a side of cabbage. And I also had the half slab of pork ribs. The had local homemade juices as well, but because most contained ginger, I opted not to get any (I don't like ginger ‍). The interior is small. I think there was 2 tables, so dining in would not be a feasible option during busy hours. We took our food to-go, but ate some of the rice and chicken in the vehicle. The only thing we didn't like was the food was doused in gravy...way too much. The portions sizes are huge. It was a lot of food. We were able to split the rice between 2 of us, and the ribs fed me for 3 days! The food was delicious (I may be a bit biased ‍). The chicken was well seasoned, the rice cooked to perfection, and the ribs were well smoked! As stated, I didn't take a drink because of the ginger, and my companion told me I wouldn't like it because the ginger was strong! With regards to the food, everything on the menu looks delicious and I plan to go try other items.

But none of it tasted of spices normally used in Jamaican cooking. The meat was not as tender as I'd prefer. The portion size was large. My daughter had the curry chicken. She liked it but said not enough to go back after. The service was excellent. The place is small. I remember the owner of the last restaurant there said the landlord didn't want to pay for an air conditioning unit and said if they added one it had to stay there. I see that must still be the case. It is sweltering on a hot day. I feel so bad for the workers. This team definitely had it cooler than the last renters, but it was still too hot for them to be in there all day cooking.
