As I was looking through the photos from their blog post, I started tearing up like crazy and was hoping that our photos would come out something close to theirs. Funnily enough, I didn't know that they would be the most recommended photographer for our venue. I remember going back and forth due to the price, but you do get the both of them (Luke and Bre) for 8 hours, and we actually added an additional hour as well so we could get photo coverage of our first dance. Although my husband's parents covered the cost of photography, I would've happily paid for it because of how incredible our photos came out, and our overall experience working with them. I first met Bre over a video call and she was so kind and easy to talk to that I felt like our hour-long consultation went by so quickly. We did our engagement photoshoot at Filoli (I was running 30 minutes behind due to a last-minute hair & makeup addition), and they still waited for us on a VERY hot day, which I greatly appreciated. My husband and I were both a little nervous since neither one of us had done a professional photoshoot before, but Luke and Bre really made the two of us very comfortable the entire time, and we absolutely loved our engagement photos. Fast forward to our wedding day, they came in and knew exactly what to do since they've worked at our venue so many times before. I really liked how they weren't all up in our faces during our wedding, and I genuinely feel like I didn't notice them at all. As an events person myself, I absolutely loved the timeline that Bre sent over - it was so helpful to see the schedule for the day and every time I thought we were falling behind, Bre reassured us that we weren't. We received our wedding photos back in less than a month (so quick!) and I was surprised to receive over 1,600 photos. I emailed him and he said he could do what I wanted, within my budget, and even on a Sunday afternoon. I was excited, but nervous being photographed while I am 37 weeks pregnant. When we got there he invited us up where he had set up a studio and I was immediately feeling at ease with him. He had some sample poses and began the shoot. My photos were AMAZING! Engagement shoot: I had 3 outfit changes! We started in Downtown Hollister to get a more dressed up look and then headed over to Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area to have a more fun vibe with dirt bikes. Sam was super fun to work with. He makes you feel comfortable! Wedding Day: Ah I love my pictures and so do my family, friends, etc. I am constantly getting compliments on my wedding photography. He doesn't follow a "list of pictures" because he's more about documenting moments. We instantly connected because he had lost his mother just a year ago, and had also produced a tribute video for her. David and I shared our vision for the project over the next few days, during which, I emailed many family pictures. We met for the first time just two days before my event. I delivered to David two DVDs, two cell phones and a audio cassette. I was running out of time so David downloaded pictures and video from my phone while I waited.
