A lot of the items in the shop are broken/taped together. however, pricing is fair. They are quick and typically you never have to wait long. I think the longest I have ever waited was about 10 minutes because I came at opening and they opened late. I hear this happens frequently so I never go at opening anymore.

I love that it's all men and again home-based but I hate that I had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seen when I made an appointment online. The nail tech guaranteed my acrylic fill in would last 3 weeks . It didn't last four days. I sent a picture of the chipped nail to the owner but I was ignored . During my pedicure , the skin on top of my foot was scraped to the white meat with a pumice stone . It bled heavily . I was charged full price for the pedicure and told sorry. Better Customer service would definitely help this business retain new customers. If your stylist made a mistake , offer some form of amends to show your remorse and gratitude to the customer.

Located in Capital Heights, at my first appointment, it was kind of hard to spot. Be aware of the parking, as some of the spots are assigned. Upon walking in, use the door on the right to access the nail salon. Appointments are made online, and Tenecia prefers that appointments are made at the half hour only. No problems there. Nice selection of colors to choose from, and the place is clean. I noticed that Tenecia takes the time to clean the bowl in between clients, which I totally dig. Also, she uses new new tools, like emery boards, and buffers for each person. My first appointment was a gel mani (with designs of course) and a pedi. Let me tell you, it was one of thee best pedicures that I have EVER had. She is absolutely excellent at what she does. I loved the gel manicure as well, because she actually does a manicure; you know soaks the hands, trims the cuticles, massage, and the like. She totally takes her time. My nails were shaped beautifully, and they actually grew! Woop! My only issue, is that my mani didn't last as long as I would have expected, but that could totally be me, because I'm super hard on my nails. The night prior, they called and asked if I'd be willing to go to the Dupont Circle location instead so that the technician could fit in more appointments. It was annoying, but not a huge deal. I was getting lash removal & a new set of classic/hybrid lashes. I've been getting eyelash extensions for 13 years and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. They were thin, whispy, pre-made fans that were poorly glued onto only some of my lashes. They started falling off almost immediately, and there were visible white clumps of glue that a friend pointed out because she thought I had crumbs on my eyes. One week later when I went to another eyelash studio, they couldn't even tell I had any extensions on until they put me under the lights. I would've been better off just curling my own lashes & using mascara because mine are thicker & longer than whatever they used. I've never had such poor quality.

There were kids and babies there. I wondered if I had made a mistake but I felt better as soon as I got to the shampoo bowl. Teresa cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it and gave me dutch braids. She asked about using products which I really appreciated. I did not go home with a head of hair full of goop, just a clean, fresh cut. It was a wonderful experience and I will be back again when I need another trim.
