Love this store and all the unique items they carry. I like to go early and browse through each and every section, there are so many treasures to find. Their prices are higher than some places because their quality is much better. I especially love their semi precious stones and have to buy more every time I visit. We were "welcomed" at the door by a gruff 'closing in 5 minutes' warning. I continued to walk in just to get a look at the place and see if there would be a reason to return. Other shoppers did as well - and I heard the warning over and over... About halfway through the store, I noticed a whole section of the store with it's lights out. I continued on through the lighted areas. Wasn't sure if it was another adjoining store, the same store or what - but I stayed out. I checked my phone. Now 4 minutes to go. I noticed some employees giving each other eye signals and shaking their heads. Had enough. Walked toward the door, never to return. Sad, too - they had some cute stuff in the windows. I am somewhat of a stone-snob, working & selling natural stone products to the hospitality industry. Walking down the street I spotted some nice pieces - so we took a look. THIS GUY IS SELLING $50-$60 sf MATERIALS FOR $200-$400 sf!!!!!!! You can buy a full slab of malachite for the same price you can buy Phil Jacksons quartzite... Mi esposa and I have been visiting, no drooling, over this place for years. Not sure what happened to the "Phil Jackson's" name, but it's the same place. They feature truly high-end granite, with slabs o' plenty in their back lot. Prices are crazy high: $700-$1400 for a foyer table, and up to $8K for a dining table. BUT, this is "not your father's Oldsmobile." These are Levels 6 to 10 (higher is better) chunks of beautifully honed and polished granite set atop custom-made iron stands. You cannot appreciate their beauty on the Internet. You must see and feel these pieces at the store! Look around and you may find a piece on sale, as we did a few years ago. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive - nobody creepily follows you around or nags you. If you have the taste and the simoleons, get your happy butt down to Phil Jackson's! read more

If I could give it zero stars, I would for customer service. I'm the type that usually shrugs off a bad experience but this place is to be avoided. Plenty of other shopping in the Fredericksburg area to take advantage of. When you sell furniture and then ask people to get off the furniture (chair) which my son was quietly sitting because "he (the owner of all people!) does not think you will be buying it" reeks of bad management from top to bottom. read more

I like what they have just not willing to pay so much for it. Expect to pay twice or three times as much for items. They do have nice things but priced high. if you can get the brand or style you can probably find it cheaper elsewhere. I do have to say the register people acted great with me. read more

Cool stuff but way over-priced. Bought just a couple of small items. Don't expect great customer service but I guess that's what you get when you have teenish people working there. You would think that with older people (not us) walking around this place they would teach these "kids" good customer service and respect for elders. read more
