They mostly have antiques and self therapy stuff. I was drawn to the candles... they were not cheap I can assure you that... $24.99 for the saguaro cactus scent... it did smell really good though. I bought it for my dear friend's b-day. I didn't get anything for myself and that's okay. Staff was nice and helpful. Prices like I said was a bit pricey. Store had an old fashion look and feel. Referred to as the "Marketplatz," this is a nice little park-like area along Main Street in…read moredowntown Fredericksburg. Often this is where the town will hold little events, such as the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in December. There are many short walkways, benches to sit and relax, and plaques/statuary to read. It is well-lit with handsome light poles, there is lots of grass for kids to run around and get their wiggles out (plus a play structure in the back), one section has a roof and many picnic tables for gatherings, and plenty of public restrooms that are serviced regularly. It's an enjoyable place to come to when you need a break from shopping around! This year they did a good job decorating for Christmas with a big tree on the lawn, the traditional German "pyramid," string lights from the awnings and on trees, and some kiddie structures like a wooden train/sleigh/gingerbread house. There was even a small ice skating rink set up toward the back for a fee.

While not in my budget right now, I felt the prices were fair for the amount of work that goes into quilting. There were also simpler, machine made quilts that were more affordable (less than 100$). There was nothing unique and not much to look at inventory wise. It felt like they were trying to be too sophisticated but instead it just sort of took the joy out of what you expect to find in a CHRISTMAS SHOP! We want tinsel and Holly and twinkles, this store doesn't have much but blown glass and a few Santa statues that you wouldn't want your kids to play around. Even those are sparse on the shelves.
