I recently purchased a 2022 Hayabusa from Philly Cycle Center, and the whole process was nice and easy. I dealt with Vincent Jr., the sales manager, and I couldn't be happier. First off, with inventory the way it is these days, since COVID-19, it's difficult to even find the bike you want locally in stock. They had what I was looking for, and Vincent was able to deliver the bike to me much quicker than expected. (I had some minor color tweaks I wanted before delivery. There were no discounts to be had on the bike because of low availability, but they were able to offer nice discounts on aftermarket parts, with free installation. Any technical questions I had, Vincent was able to provide accurate answers, and he was there to fully explain bike operations and control at delivery. This is a solid dealership, and they're even open on Sundays. read more

Got an oil change and an inspection, same day drive in service at start of season. Professional, smooth, easy, and way cheaper than at the dealership. My bike had a slow (very tiny) leak after. They were great about taking it back. They thought they fixed but it still dripped so I went back again. Again they were great about trying to make it right. 12 year old bike they said a hose clamp was loose so they did me a solid and tightened all my clamps. Unfortunately, they crimped on the other side and I took it elsewhere (dealership) to resolve. I would give them 5 stars in professional ethics, and reasonable price ... but the problems cost me double in the end. I wish they tried better diagnosis or took more time. Still it was clearly a well run shop. I will go back and try them again, but I'll put more trust in the dealership, which is more expensive. read more

Bring your bike here for repairs you will be kicking yourself upon leaving. Their service SUX. The first time I brought my bike here for service and a recall. My bike ended up having more issues upon leaving than it did prior to me bringing it here. The check engine light kept appearing, brakes began making all kinds of noises, weird humming sound from the engine, scratches all over my brand new Goldwing. This place outright is HORRIBLE. They miss the ball on customer service and what it takes to keep customer's coming back. If you don't believe what I'm telling you. At one point I asked the owner or manager about an item. He appeared annoyed that I asked him a question, making a slick comment. Maybe a undertone? Called today to purchase a battery for my bike. Asked the parts person if they stocked a battery for HD. He stated yes. Asked him to give me the name brand, price, and most importantly the CCA. He states , "We have a big battery that will fit" Again I asked, about the CCA as the bike is large, big motor, lots of accessories. His answer "It's the biggest case battery it's ok to use come get it" So, let's look at this. 1- Customers are always FIRST. That is Business 101. Customers drive the majority of the bottom line of the company.This should be taught to the staff. 2- It's not a problem if you don't know an answer. It's your ignorance or not wanting to learn the answer which causes you problems. If you want to trust your bike to unknowing, customer unfriendly people ( at least the guy I spoke with ) have at it. DON'T GET SCAMMED!!! Don't waste your money and your time!!!!! This place is the absolute worst motorcycle service for trying to get your cycle issues resolved, as a matter of fact, i was charged almost $500 for service that they didn't even perform on my bike. The service was ultimately bad if not the worst i've ever had! I was informed that my bike was ready, so i came in to pick it up i got there, thinking that it was fixed, but had to wait almost 3 hours for them to release it to me because the service wasn't performed until that time i arrived!?!?! WTF?!? The mechanics literally just turned my bike on and gave me an invoice for their service!! For what?!?! I didn't really mind the wait, but the fact that the bike issue wasn't resolved was such a huge scam!!! I have told plenty of my friends about this experience, and they claim that they've heard a lot of horrible stories about their service!!! Do NOT take your bike here for service! I was nearly killed because of their neglect! I took my KTM here for new tires and: Link w/pictures and video as proof: https://goo.gl/photos/rTgJe1JNTLd8YCxH9 1) They forgot to re-attach my front brake caliper. I picked up my bike on Friday, 5/19, and took it for a ride on Saturday. I pulled over to investigate when I noticed a "clunking" sound. I was horrified to discover that the two caliper mounting bolts were almost completely backed out and my caliper was about to fall off (see video and pictures in the link above) 2) My pinch bolts (the ones that keep my front axle from backing out) were completely loose and ready to fall out on one side. (see video and pics in the link above) 3) On the side where they remembered to tighten the fork pinch bolts, one of the bolt heads was so badly stripped that I had to hammer a hex wrench in to remove and replace it (picture in link above). 4) My front axle nut was boogered up and the corners are rounded over. They must have used either an oversized socket or an open end wrench. 5) They never put valve stem caps on. The front wheel has never been off since new - this is the first time this wheel has been removed so they can't claim somebody else did the damage to my axle nut and pinch bolts. And they certainly can't claim that the caliper bolts and fork pinch bolts worked themselves loose overnight. On the plus side, they did do a good job aligning my rear wheel and chain tension was perfect. I will give them that. I will never take my bike back here again, and I just want to warn others because I could have been killed! read more

Their shoddy work almost got me killed. This is not a joke. DO NOT GO HERE. I took my Suzuki GS 500E to get a simple tire change, they put on the wrong size tire and it was rubbing against the bike frame. They didn't even realize it, and gave it back to me, I noticed something weird on the way home. Then my bike stalled on the Ben Franklin Bridge and wouldn't start. A tractor-trailer truck didn't see me and just in time he slammed his brakes on and got in the other lane within seconds of hitting me. There were chunks of truck tire and smoke everywhere from him slamming on his brakes. I am lucky to be alive. I took my bike back and told them, and they were like, we don't care. I saw a bike advertised online. The bike had very low miles but was a couple years old. The price was attractive given the age of the bike. Drive out to see it and it's obviously been dropped as evidenced by scratches and scrapes on the bodywork and has mix-matched tires (different brands, one looked near the end of its life, the other one was pretty new) and dirt / mud inside the side cases. This is just not honorable ... if there are defects in a vehicle or product for sale, these should be disclosed in the advertisement. Nobody greeted me when I entered, however, a salesperson did greet my friend and then followed her to me and then asked if he could help. Bring your bike here if you don't like it. After taking a remarkably long time trying to recreate the problem I originally brought my bike in for, they gave me a deadline on when they could fix it. Days became weeks, which became months and so on... Each time I would call back, they were rude and would feed me more empty promises on when they'd be done or expect a call back. Once the bike was finally fixed months later, I got to ride it a few times before it started giving me problems again; this time because of a pump that they damaged while fixing it. This is a good one-stop motorcycle shop for anyone in the Philadelphia area. They have a decent selection, plenty of bikes to look at, knowledgeable employees and, in my experience, an efficient service shop. Their communication style can be somewhat short and to the point, but not unfriendly, and you may need to ask for help. I took the classroom portion of my MSF course here and have been twice for service and at least twice for accessories. I kept waiting for something bad to happen based on the other reviews, but so far I have only had positive experiences. They have a good number of bikes (new and used) and ATVs in their showroom and a decent, but not huge, selection of accessories. They also carry a limited number of scooters. If you're looking at bikes, someone will eventually come up to you and ask you if you need help. If you're just sitting there drooling like I do, they'll understand and leave you alone. If you're looking at accessories, you'll most likely have to ask for help, but they'll be willing and knowledgeable. The prices at the counter were also lower than what was on the tag. I'm not sure if this applies across their entire product line, or if it just happened to be the items I purchased or maybe the sales guy was in a good mood. As for service, I got an inspection, front brakes and an oil change on my Honda Shadow in under an hour while I waited. The service guy was super friendly and helpful and all service was completed as stated. The prices seemed perfectly reasonable to me. The labor for the oil change was $25, the labor for the brakes was a measly $15 and the brake pads themselves were about $35 (altogether much, much cheaper than doing brakes on a car). I brought my own oil and filter after a failed attempt at doing it myself so I don't have pricing on that. read more

Although I did not buy my motorcycle from these guys, I did need to get a helmet shortly afterwards. Back in Kalamazoo, the Honda shop there was notorious for treating it's patrons like dirt. This was the mindset I went into Philly Cycle with. As I was poking around the helmets, fully expecting to be ignored, I was assisted by a very helpful guy who led me to the exact helmet I wanted but needed as well. I've come back for other little issues such as getting a key cut for a early 70s motorcycle and were able to recognize it without me telling them what it was for. And even though they weren't able to help me with getting a new key, they gave me a recommendation of a locksmith that would have it. read more

Ok, let me first say that the service received that fueled this review is from the combination of two bad experiences with the same business. In the most recent incident, my motorcycle spent 2 and a half months in their shop just to get the carburetors adjusted and fuel intake cleaned. They told me it was finished after the first month, I went to pick it up and it wouldn't even start! After they assured me that this was an honest mistake, they kept it another month and a half giving me the run around every time I called to check on my bike. That was three weeks ago. Just yesterday my bike broke down again. Any guesses as to what is the mechanical problem? The carburetor. I've gotten only three weeks of motorcycle riding for the entire season due to the gross negligence of this shop. Final Verdict: DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS! Don't go looking for a deal or any type of break. You won't find it here. I needed 2 tires on my Cross Country Cruiser, they gave me a price and I asked to see them b4 I agreed to buy them, I was told they were stored too high up to pull them down & I'd have to agree to buy them to see them. I didn't. I purchased my own, brought them to the shop & had them install them only to find out at ck out, they charged $35 per tire on top of the install fee bec I did not buy them from them. I took my bike back for oil change and complete go over for this 2018 riding season and found a big 1 inch wide x 3 inches long scratch on my trunk when I went to pick it up. They claimed no knowledge as to how it got there and refused to discuss repairing it. They honestly treat you as though they're doing you a favor to spend your money there. If at all possible find another shop for your motorcycle needs. You won't regret it read more

Shop has a great selection of bikes and accessories but the service needs work. Service -- this is a mixed bag. These guys are expensive and the job doesn't get done properly all the time! I've brought my bike here a few times (twice by towing) after it wouldn't start. Problems on the bike have progressed and I'm still having the same issues except worse and more. Bike engine would cut while riding at low speeds and now regular starting problems on a weekly basis. I'm guessing clearly something was missed when they went to check it over both times although my bike is older (94). Long story short: I'm looking for a new mechanic. read more

I lived in Philadelphia all my life and even i know that this place does horrible work. I took my GSXR there for warranty service. They found the problem right away, I also knew what the problem was before hand. All they had to do was order the replacement part and swap it out. Two weeks later part not ordered and bike still not fixed. So I got my Bike back and went else were and it was fixed the same day.(Thanks John owner of 2 wheel motor sports) Please do not take your bike there if you want good service. I took my Suzuki GS 500E here this spring for service. I requested a state inspection and whatever else it took to get the bike running well. I picked the bike up after it was finished and when I got home, realized there was no inspection sticker on the bike. When I called them and told them there was no inspection sticker, they said it must have slipped their minds and that I had to bring the bike back for them to put it on. Upon returning the bike to get the inspection sticker applied, one of the mechanics warned me that the brake pads were getting worn and that I should have them replaced soon. I responded that my receipt indicated they had been replaced - which they hadn't. I stood around for the next 20 minutes while they completed work which was supposed to be done already. I was not impressed by the service department. If you bring a bike here, check to make sure they actually do the work they charge you for because they charge a lot for it. read more

Just bought a Honda CRF250L from here and it was really a seamless experience. No hangups and everything went fast and easy. I know a lot of that is based on my credit and the info I have but still some places just don't have their stuff together. This wasn't the case. These guys are an assembly line of bike sellers. I watched like four people buy bikes and a bunch pick bikes up in the hour and a half I was there. Juan was very efficient. The only reason I didn't give five stars was be used they didn't explain much. It was pretty much wam bam thank you man. They were cool enough to follow me home with the bike on one of their trucks since I had only my loaded work van and no trailer with me. I will see how the service goes.... Went there today to get my first helmet and riding jacket, as I bought my first bike yesterday. The guy behind the counter (I forget his name) was super helpful with explaining to me what to look for in a helmet. He even took the time (despite having to answer the phone every 2 minutes) to show me how to properly fit a helmet, etc... They gave me a decent discount for buying a helmet, jacket and gloves and we're all really nice guys. Couldn't be happier with my experience there. The manager (Vince, I think) was helpful with explaining the motorcycle inspection to me as well. Definitely going back on Monday to buy more stuff. Side note: I can't speak for the service dept experiences, but as somebody that's run a business for a long time, I can tell you that if you had a bad experience with the retail guys, it's likely because you were being an idiot. read more

I went here to look at two bikes, the CB1000R (Honda's street fighter) and a Ural w/ side car. I arrived on a clear/clean/title in pocket 2006 monoposto Ducati 749 with 11K that I was looking to trade (I'm getting older and the riding is a bit more committed for daily driving) with helmet in hand and full riding gear on. After several minutes of trying to explain my desire to a sales person (in their defense it was a busy weekend day) I was told that the CB1000R was no longer in production... which was odd as this year's 2013 new pearl white model was recently reviewed in Motorcyclist. I assured the sales person that they were in production and asked again to confirm that maybe they just didn't have any in stock or maybe he was confusing my request with the older cb1100... I was basically told (somewhat coarsely) that I was not correct and that the cb1000R was a one model year that is no longer offered in the states... confused I relented (and later found out that I was right and was not only able to test ride one at a different regional (European/Japanese biker dealer but also traded my Ducati 749s for one). I then asked were their Urals are located, was told that they had none in the store and it would be a few weeks before any would arrive and was dismissed very soon after that , not even asked if there was another model that I might be willing to consider. I can't say the sales person was flat out rude but considering that motorcycle sales have not been strong in the several years (maybe this location is the exception) I expected the gent to be a bit more polished in his approach. and would have understand if they were not wanting to take any trades (this was never voiced to me). I can say the sale person was not very educated about his product and did give off a very "you're wasting my time" attitude. Despite that fact that the CB1000R is not the most popular bike in Hondas lineup and the Ural is somewhat of a unicorn... I was surprised that they didn't have just one example on the floor or either bike. It was kind of funny experiencing all the "rudeness" some motorcyclist attach to European (specifically Italian branded) dealerships at this "Big Red"/Asian motorcycle dealer location. My first and last first visit here only re-enforced my fondness for more educated, customer geared European dealers. I can't comment on their technical service, but their sales was subpar. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE TO PHILADELPHIA CYCLE CENTER, I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY IN THAT STORE. About a year and a half ago I had my 2012 zx10r there for a recall and when I got the bike back the left side mirror and fairings were scratched. Then after a low side I took my bike there to get it repaired and instead of replacing the stay bracket that the mirrors bolt to they used a rubber well nut to hold my mirror on. I brought it to their attention and they said I can bring it back and they will fix it. I said no because they couldn't get it right the first time i prefer they don't touch my bike again and asked if they could get me a new one and I could put it in and they said no. So I had to buy and install a part that they were supposed to do and they knew it was not right cause they rigged it up. So after I bought another brand new bike off them (a 2013 zx14r) I notice after a couple hundred miles that it is leaking coolant from the thermostat housing. So I ask if they could just hook me up with a new gasket so i can reseal it myself. THEY SAID NO. THEY WOULDN'T BUY ME A 5 DOLLAR GASKET. THE BIKE ONLY HAD 500 MILES ON IT. they kept telling me to bring the bike in and I kept saying no because bikes get fucked up there. Then a friend takes his bike there to get a steering bearing done and they scratched his bike in about 5 different places and when they did the fork seals they fucked that up too and they needed to be redone because the bike didn't handle right.. so obviously I will never take my bike to that place cause every time i bring a bike there or somebody I know does it gets fucked up. So now my cooling fan is binding up because it has a bad bearing in the fan motor so i go there and explain that bringing the bike to them is not an option. i asked if they could do anything with the warranty if i bring them the fan and show them how its binding up. THEY SAID NO. they explained that they need the whole bike there. I again explained that my bike will not come there because they damage bikes at their shop. So i then ask if they could at least help me out with the price of the fan if i buy one off them. They said no. SO LET ME GET THIS RIGHT, I BUY A NEW BIKE EVERY YEAR AND YOU CANT EVEN GIVE ME A COOLING FAN AT THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR IT????? . I spent 30,000.00 there in a 15 month time period between the 2 bikes bikes I bought and that is is how is how they treat me read more
