Dr. Milgram is a wonderful practitioner who goes out of his way to treat his patients with the upmost care and professionalism.

I was sent here for a detox program using NAD IV for 10 days. I felt no effects from the NAD but it still cost thousands of dollars. I was treated with negligence: 1) not given my SSRI meds for almost a week "by accident" and suffered SSRI withdrawal 2) was given an IV meant to last for three days and it wasn't replaced for an entire week 3) was prescribed Mirtazepine, wasn't allowed to google the side effects of the drug, gained literally 50 lbs until I saw a competent psychiatrist who informed me that Mirtazepine is known to cause weight gain. I'm 3rd generation San Diegan, I care about every review, I love to spread the word on a hidden gem or disaster. I'm a 54yr old recovering alcoholic & have known Dr. Milgram for the better part of just over 25yrs. When he 1st mentioned to me that he had made the discovery of a lifetime, that would change detox for every drug on the planet, skepticism was a difficult emotion not to let take over. But, I did my homework and in my opinion, he is hands down the best addiction specialist in the country, period. I wouldn't trust anyone in the world to do what he's just done. Guess what, as far as I know he is just that, the only one in the world getting people sober with NAD. His methods have come from years of research and experience. No one else can do what he's doing right now. Sure you can find NAD in some specialty Dr. offices, but its not the same quality as what he uses nor is there anyone who can get me through 3-6 months of acute withdrawal and 18 months minimum of post acute withdrawal in JUST 12 DAYS!!! That's no typo, this is a real man who gets to go hug his family knowing that I am sober, extremely fortunate, grateful and forever in Dr. Milgram's debt. If you have the opportunity to meet Dr. Milgram, you will be meeting one of the most humble, honest and loving man that I've ever met. I am so blessed! 4 Years ago I snapped my Tibia/Fibula at the ankle and almost compound that break. My 1st course of action after being in hospital was to send my scans to Dr. Milgram. He said I would be very lucky to get full momentum back in my right leg. Also, stayed very optimistic that I was in very good hands with the surgeon who actually did a phenomenal job. Unfortunately Kasier, with all their wisdom, thought methadone and ONLY methadone was the pain killer for me. It didn't matter that I'd made it off that drug 3xs before, they made the statement that you take methadone or you can have ibuprofen. With a 25 year opiate addiction in my own life, I was being forced to take the most long acting and next to impossible medication to ever get off in a single lifetime. So forced, no, but it was an impossible situation that I was in. Take methadone or leave and take heroin. This episode has almost killed me in my pursuit to get off it these past 4 years, until now. Here I am 4 years later, where it has taken me every day of those 4yrs to get from 90mgs down to 31mgs and make the decision that I wasn't prepared to miss one more day of my one and only, teenage daughters life. 4yrs of every month tapering down from 90 mgs to 31mgs, 1-2 mg every month or so. Here's the despicable truth about methadone. At 31mgs I was looking at another 3-5 years to get to a point where I actually had a chance of getting off for good. 3-5 yrs of waking up drenched in sweat, ice cold and reaching for my bottle of methadone that took an hour every single morning of my life for the last 4 years until I felt halfway human. Mind you, that by dropping 1mg I would start to go into withdrawal by 3-4pm on daily basis and had been doing just that for the last 4yrs. HERE'S THE MIRACLE, 12 days after walking into Dr. Milgram's office. He did what can only be unequivocally described as they most genius way to get anyone off any drug. It doesn't matter length of usage, what drug, your age, or dosage. Dr. Milgram can set you free and give you your life back as he has just done for me. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Don't waste 4 years of your life, with impossible taper expectations. Or, switching from one drug to another, scraping to the surface for a gasp of air and relief. I'll never get those years back with my daughter. Not at 6'3 255lbs. and getting more unhealthy by the day. I had blood work done while here and my Cardio section is dangerously high and I think that I'd be dead if I kept listening to Kaiser. Dr. Milgram gave me a serious of 12 days. Each consisted of a bag of saline, a bottle of NAD that is put into the saline and then you sit, in his comfortable and very private office. He had a massage chair, recliners, bed, TV with your name on it. Dr. Milgram and his bag of tricks is guaranteed to make you feel comfortable, safe and very well attended to. Not to mention it's extremely private, so no matter the job, you can always come in knowing that you're confidentiality is always one of his top priorities. The office is a very private 3 room suite right off I-5 and La Jolla Village. I walked into that office 12 days ago, in one of the worst emotional, mental, physical and spiritual places I've ever been. My marriage was nearly ruined and I was absolutely terrified & devastated. But, there's that light, the light that I saw in my deer friends eyes that he had me. No matter what Doc was going to see me get through these 12 short days that lie ahead and he did just that! I first saw Dr. Milgram back in 2012 after coming across a Groupon. Showing up at his office he was very nice and explained the laser process for removing fungus off my toenail. It's not fun writing about fungus on Yelp - but I'm truly doing this in hope that others avoid his services. Initially he was honest about the commitment his treatment would require (A LOT). Most patients don't look into laser removal of fungus unless they've tried it all, which I had. I saw him for a total of about 3 years! And although there was some (minimal) improvement to my toenails, there was no significant improvement given the amount of time I had committed and money. I never saw full recovery. I don't believe Dr. Milgram fully discloses the probability of a patient ever getting a full clear nail. Although he is a nice man, he was not completely transparent about my particular case. I never saw before and after pictures of other patients and he could never give me an exact length for the treatment. Instead Dr. Milgram keeps you coming back and although you only pay once (a hefty amount) he ensures that you buy some clear nail polish (super special stuff) that runs about $50 I must of bought at least 4-5 bottles of those. All in all a negative experience that took a lot of time out of my life. My recommendation seek conventional help (aka Medical Dr.) One star- for Dr. Milgram's sense of humor and for the staff who was always nice and polite. read more

I've tried many different methods to get rid of my toe nail fungus, including the expensive and liver-harming Lamisil pills prescribed to me by a podiatrist. Two rounds of that treatment did only one thing: made my wallet $4000 lighter. My toe nails still had fungus. After a few laser treatments with Dr Milgram, I am happy to say that I am almost fungus free! The difference is dramatic on all the affected nails and one of them is already completely cured. For many years my nails were in a horrible state despite trying many different over-the-counter medications and home therapies. I was skeptical because of the extreme state of damage to my toenails but after following the doctors orders and strict routines for over a year my nails are now at the point where I can wear flip flops and sandals once again. I went to Dr. Milgram for a year for the laser fungus treatment, all my toes were infected and the treatment cured 7/10 of my nails. The regime is very strict and you have to be very persistant (every day wearing only bleached socks, sterilizing your shoes and switching them out regularly, drying feet with bleached washcloths when you get out of the shower, using topical treatment on it twice a day and anti fungul cream twice a day, bleaching your shower constistantly, ect.) if you want to see results, which I was. I moved away so stopped getting the results but I did see clear improvement from going there and would recommend his treatment over others. As of almost 2 years later my 7 toes are still clear, am going to a new doctor in sacramento and have not seen as quality of results with my last 3 toes, which really sucks cause it's just as expensive but plan to go back in the future to Dr. Milgram. read more

Where do I begin since this is long overdue? I first called in about toenail fungus and was quoted a price. When I went into the office and sat down to the consultation he quoted me a price 3x higher than what was originally quoted on the phone. I could have walked out right there but I had tried other treatments and nothing had worked and Dr. Milgram must have told me 5 times he guarantees his treatment to work and he has a 100% success rate. He seemed extremely confident (bordering arrogance) so I decided to stay. When it came time to pay I asked if I could have a payment plan since the fee was 3x higher than was quoted on the phone. I won't get into specifics of what he said but it was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was shocked a doctor would say such a thing to his patient! I paid half and the other half I paid the next month. I came by the office every 6 weeks or so for a year and while the nails got marginally better they certainly were not cured. I was also shocked to hear that after a year they were going to charge me the fee again because the treatment was only for 12 months which was NOT disclosed to me upfront when I first initially booked my appointment. Dr. Milgram was often late to the appointments w/ no apology for his tardiness, on one occasion he cut my nails till they bled and another time he didn't even show up and had another doctor/nurse work on me who could barely hear anything. Definitely do not recommend him for this or any of his other work that he does. Stay away! read more
