I have kept in contact with several individuals who have been through "West Coast" over the years and all of them have had nothing but good things to say and attribute the guidance they received to this program. I know when someone enters this program they will be treated respectfully and with compassion, yet be challenged to begin the hard work that is required in early recovery. AST director Michael M was gracious enough to give me a quick rundown of all the rules, and a urinalysis, as this is a zero tolerance drug-free facility. As I settled in and got to know the other members of the household, I realized what a great find. Very friendly residents who are very outgoing to show you the ropes. There is also all you can eat food 24 hours a day as long as you clean up after yourself one group meal is served per weeknight with a house meeting on Sunday I found the whole experience of the way the house was brand to be very professional and organized And were quick to handle situations among the other residence. Another great aspect of the facility is that they will be responsible for handing meds out to the residence as needed. Believe me, I did my research when looking for a facility to move to. I had heard all the horror stories of people stuffing four individuals into a room made for one! I assure you this is not the case and every bed is a least a queen size . The house is clean and immaculate at all times as all the house guests help out. Truly an awesome place to start if you want to stay sober ! I stayed at Casa Paz for 6 months and boy It was a experience. I chose this house because they provide transportation to and from work and because of the beautiful house. They also have a food program that's included in rent. They do a great job stalking the house with food and getting anything special that you request. I shared the master bedroom with two other awesome girls. I totally appreciated having a queen size bed too! I swear every other sober living has as many twin size beds as possible crammed into a room. Our room did have ants tho... and no we didn't have food in our room. They provided us with ant traps but the traps would just leek sticky gel everywhere and the ants would be back in a week. One of the main reasons I gave them such a low rating is because it felt like staff went out of there way to sure you didn't feel at home... I tried to hang up one of my paintings and got yelled at, accidentally leaving a notebook downstairs and it gets thrown away, and management seems to threaten to kick you out over any thing. You would think paying 1700 a month would offer a more home vibe. I personally didn't clash well with management. A couple of staff had a toxic masculine /aggressive way of handling things. Lots of anger, yelling and heated confrontation. Even staff verbally/ physically abusing clients. I've always been the type of person who wants to know the reason behind things so I could have better understanding. They say they deal with everyone on a "case by case scenario ". But it's really just a huge playing favorites game! It's clear as day to house that they were certain people(clients) who were treated better; such as, not having to do there chores or/and always have the easier ones, getting extra rides, rides to and from airports, outcome after relapse and etc. When a client relapses they either get kicked out , have to pay for hotel for 3 days, temporary moved to the other Casasober house, or no punishment at all. I have even witness managers covering for the clients after a re-lapse and pushing it under the rug. It seems the main factors are monetary gain and personal favorites when dealing with this type of situation. My personal option is they shouldn't run a co-ed sober living. A few of the house managers evecross professional boundaries and take advantage of female clients in the position are in . It's fuck up place and I would avoid. At the end of a day I forget this place is a business in the main goals to make money, The owner has no problem rolling up in her Escalade and flashing her money while clients pay almost 2g a month to share a room with 2 other people. . But yeah avoid like the plague. Recovery is amazing but places like this just take advantage of people in a rough spot.

They use manipulation tactics bullying a scare tactics to get what they want out of you they're all about money and if they know you have a a chunk of money when you come in there, they will manipulate and use whatever tactic to get your money. OK I've seen Mona Rosenholtz the house manager for the women's house, steal money from people rather residence. I have know about Luis McMahon, the Director, manipulating money out of people one of them being me and Linda Joyce Sterritt, who is my best friend and I was trying to get her out of there but she pays the most rent out of everybody in that program and it's like around 12 $1300 when they knew I had a trust account they were in it I was paying $1400. All the other women paid like seven or 600 they they are abusive they yell they call you names. It's not a good place. They don't have no groups you go to na aa meeting outside that's it. I think the Program that the county needs to go in and investigate the house in that program because there are a lot of illegal stuff going on in there with staff and there's only three people that are over that Program. I do not recommend this program to anybody and if you hear it run the direction when my daughter Sarah got me out of that program I could not talk. All I would do is sit and stare because I had PTSD so bad from the abuse and the name-calling and all the bullying that Mona Rosenholtz and Timothy McMahon we're doing to me yeah I had my good times there too, but the bad outweighs when I left there I was 336 pounds now I've been out of there since 2021 and I'm 215 pounds now at my ideal weight and I look awesome. I have my own place now and I'm doing really well cleaning sober working a Celebrate Recovery in the STEPS I have a sponsor and I have my own apartment oh and then Mona told me that nobody wants me well I have a boyfriend that lives with me so you know and I have a lot of friends where I live. I'm aware of an incident where Linda Durban got her $1400 stimulus check and I told her do not let Louis know you have that money because he will get it from you well, he got wind of it and he was there and he gave her the spiel to crocodile tears and oh I need help and you said he would help me. I'm so broke. He's always somebody's broke. Yeah he's in a bunch of debt, but yeah it's a crooked Shystie organization and do not go to this program.. Lewis McMahon ended up getting $1000 out of Linda Diaz stimulus check because Linda pay so much money that I was trying to get her out because they abused her too. All she does is sit and stare at the wall from PTSD. She is cut off communication between me and Linda has taken her phone. She will not let her have a phone Mona because they don't wanna lose that money. It's all about money. They don't care about nobody they bully you. They yell at you, they call your names.
