I called and spoke with Jan - she was extremely helpful and pleasant. I then met with Dr. Nesbitt who subsequently suggested what I should do and fitted me with custom musician earplugs. He told me to see an ENT to have the wax removed. It was a BIG hunk of wax, but it popped out easily. When I came for my rescheduled appointment, there was Chris, all smiles as if nothing had happened. The test showed my hearing continues to fail so both were were reset upwards. Chris cleaned them so they were all shiny like new. I adore these people!

If you want a competent audiology test and recommendations for a fair priced hearing aid, this is likely not the place. That said, I'm sure the audiology test is competent but they have several flat fee plans. The first tier offered to me was an $8,000 flat fee. It ties you to them for a number of years, likely yearly tests and they clean the hearing aids. The lowest tier is $3,000 flat fee which commits you to them for a year I believe and offers you a selection of refurbished hearing aids donated by other patients. For the right person with cash to burn this might be perfect. However, it's not what I want nor need. The above is my impression after visiting their offices and speaking with the person handling reception. Apparently she also does the audiology tests. Not certain if she's a receptionist or an audiologist. I did not ask.

We feel extremely lucky to have been referred to Dr. Julie! She is not only knowledgeable but also SUPER PATIENT with my mom. She carefully explained how hearing aids work (they are not a cure all, BTW), listening and addressing all concerns my mom had. Dr. Julie wants to make sure her patients use their hearing aids, so she has my mom come in when she wants to make the necessary adjustments to volume, ear piece size, etc. I don't think my mom would be as compliant with her hearing aids if it were not for Dr. Julie. And of course, my mom's quality of life has improved now that she can hear and take part in conversations. Funny story: Dr. Julie warned us to keep the hearing aids away from pets lest they become an expensive snack. Well, guess what? LESS THAN 3 HOURS after my mom gets her hearing aids one falls off her ear and the dog starts chewing on it... We called Dr. Julie's office in a state of panic, but they tells us to drop off the hearing aid to see if they can be repaired. And repair them Dr. Julie did! My husband has been wearing Resound aids for about six years. He has had them " tuned up" several times with another company. Recently, one hearing aid went dead and the another was full of static. Bummer. He went to the local company where the aides were purchased. They recommended an expensive rebuild or a new pair. Wanting a second opinion, he went to Advanced Hearing Care. I had to go to urgent care and it took almost 3 days for the bleeding to stop. I've LED on my bed my pillow and even the floor. I am 88 years old and even though he is service this community for a number of years he neglected to ask me if I was on blood thinner. I would not recommend this business. And will never go back.

I'm a self-pay patient and have been since the beginning of my time with Doctor Olafson. I've stated it in every visit I've had with her. Recently, she keeps telling me that my prescription isn't "covered" and neglected to do her research when ordering blood tests, making sure I could afford them. Although I made a following appointment with her last year for this current year, her office asked me whether or not I had made an annual appointment for a follow up and I had to tell them, that yes, I did. So, somewhere, someone isn't doing their job and I am falling through the cracks. I no longer feel heard or that I matter to Doctor Olafson and her staff. I will be looking elsewhere for care.
