Three of us embarked on a two day journey originating in Phoenix, AZ and terminating in Davis, IL which was marked by a stop at least every two hours to accomplish any combination of these goals. I drank more coffee, sodas. and energy drinks in the last 48 hours than I've consumed in the last month. The Skyway Travel Center was located conveniently within eye sight of the I-40 Freeway. We saw it from the freeway and had plenty of time to change langes and exit. It is located just off the freeway with easy access both getting on and off the exit and had reasonably priced Shell branded gasoline, cue checking off list item #1. The restrooms were clean, check off list item #r2. There was a Subway Sandwich store inside the same building as the convenience store, but it was too soon after breakfast and too far away from lunch for us to want to take advantage of it, but there was a good selection of drinks in the refrigerated case and the fountain offered both Diet Pepsi and Diet Dr Pepper, so Tyoni and I had no trouble finding drinks to help us survive the next leg of the drive, check off list item #3. I wandered around a room filled with Native American themed items for sale and kept myself entertained while Tyoni picked out a Sudoku book to keep herself entertained. It was Ron's turn to drive, so we checked the last item off our list and hopped back into the car to resume our journey

We had a towing service with our insurance, but we were stuck on a covid closed reservation,…read moreLaguna, close to Grants in May. It was at the gas station, which was open until dusk. Our towing service was to come from ABQ, taking several hours. And we would not have any transportation for us, or our trailer! A Laguna law enforcement officer helped us with services that may be able to help. We are very thankful for that officer! We called Old West Wrecker Service and they took care of everything. They hauled both the truck and trailer and even got us to a hotel! They repaired the truck the next morning, very quickly, and didn't over charge anything. This was a real blessing to us! The best thing is we felt like we were being treated well and with consideration for our circumstances (as opposed to some companies that would just see $$$). They are honest, fair, personable and professional.
