I am still waiting for him to finish the job. He showed up on time did the initial work of securing the loose shutter to the home and reapplying the one that had fallen... within one week or so one of the shutters began to come loose already. Meanwhile, I had paid him on time immediately after he contacted me letting me know that the job was complete with a picture. I sent him payment via Zelle. A week later that shutter is now loose and I am trying to contact him to get him to come back out and complete the job that I had paid him for. it took many weeks of texting and cajoling him via iMessage to try and get him to come back out and do the work. He would constantly send me messages saying that he would respond back with a time that he would be able to come out and resolve the issue. he never did. What would happen is I would have to contact him after several days till week to find out if there were any updates and then I would wait days to hear back from him. At one point he did claim to have come back out to the house and fix the shutter work that was not done correctly during his first visit. I mistakenly believed him... Because he said that he had done the work and sent a picture. That very same week the tenant that lives at my property contacted me to let me know that the shutter was still askew and hanging off of the house. Now, I don't know if he actually did the work or if he did such a poor job again that the shutter immediately fell off the house, within a day or two of him having claimed to have fixed the issue. So the original work was done in July and this is probably now mid to late August. I'll go back-and-forth with him trying to get him to come out and do the work, and do a good job with finality that lasts more than several days. Anyhow, I contacted him after being informed the shutter was still falling off the house... And it is now late September and I am still messaging him And he is still responding that he will go back out and fix it or that he will let me know when he will be able to make it back out to my place... And that was days ago. If you're going to do business with this person, I would suggest you get some kind of work guarantee because the work was very shoddy and the customer service has been poor. I paid this guy immediately after he informed me the work was done and within days the work was falling apart. It is now been two months of me trying to text him and Kajol him into coming back out and fixing this issue once and for all. Unfortunately I hired him via Thumbtack app and there is no recourse for me because I paid him in cash electronically via Zelle. At this point I am just out of $180 which is what he charge me to install a shutter that had fallen and to secure another one that was loose. I would not hire this person again. Their work is poor, and their customer service is even worse. All I ever receive so far is empty promises and a wasted $180. I recommend you not hire this person for any handyman work unless you can pay him via credit card or some other avenue that afford you recourse if the job is not done as expected or the quality is short-lived. I wish I hadn't also left him a positive review on thumbtack before his work quite literally fell apart days later.

After being asked not to start the…read moreroof until after the hurricane, the Install crew began a total re-roofing job over a holiday weekend with the forecasted hurricane on the way. Within hours of removing half the roof the rains came causing thousands of dollars in drywall damage inside the house, collapsing a covered patio ceiling, and extensively damaging support beams of the pool lanai. During the final inspection it was immediately noted that many of the white shingles had black bare spots worn down to the asphalt where granules were significantly missing. 1 to 2 inches of white granules filled my gutters along with an a sundry of fast food restaurant garbage and plastic water bottles. I have used Owens Corning energy star shingles and three other roofs and never had a problem with their product. At the end of the walk-through, multiple pictures documenting a list of concerns was created with the total Home Roofing representative along with a request to have the shingles tested for a possible defect. After more than a month of phone calls, emails, and text messages which were never returned, I contacted Owens Corning directly regarding the defective shingles. Owens corning sent Total Home Roofing a shipping box and the materials list needed to test the installed shingles. Six months after the install I hired a separate company to remove samples of the defective shingles and sent them onto Owens corning for testing. Owens Corning confirmed the shingles in fact were defective and requested from Total Home Roofing a complete materials list used for the install. According to the claims representative from Owens Corning, she has made multiple attempts over four weeks to contact Total Home Roofing leaving multiple email and phone messages that went unanswered. Owens Corning stood behind the warranty of their product despite Total Home Roofing's complete lack of cooperation, integrity, and customer service. BUYER BEWARE!!

They just cut strips under, leaving quarter inch gaps the baseboards didn't cover in 3 places. They used cheap materials to replace real wood kickplates. I found BJ on Yelp and gave him a call. I sent him pictures and he provided a more than reasonable quote on the same day. Lucky for me, he was able to come out the next day to do the work. On the work day, everything went as planned. BJ removed the old, cracked mud, sanded the walls, added new mud to the walls, sanded the mud, and then painted. In total, the work time was about 4 hours. I'm giving Thumbs Up Repair five stars because BJ responded quickly, showed up to do the work (a lot of people don't show up), and did a great job. I plan to have him come back to paint the inside and outside of my house as well as replace my kitchen countertops. He can do a lot of work, and I'm so glad I found him!
