I spoke with Diana. She was very nice, thorough and a pleasure to speak with. She was able to work around my schedule and had a tech come out the first thing the next morning. Eric, the tech that came out, called me 30 mins to let me know he was on his way. He was very nice and answered all my questions. He got the job done within 30 mins and cleaned up before leaving. I would give them a five, but I felt they may have charged a little bit too much, and couldn't even include a lightbulb with the garage door opener. When I talk to them about it they were happy to come and bring went out, but that wasn't necessary as I was able to do it myself. I just thought it was odd and I wondered if it was policy. Quick to respond through DM. In the DM, they will ask for a $95 dollar fee to come out and give you a quote. During my DM correspondence, I included pictures and a description of what I believe is wrong with the lift of my garage door. Garage doors are not my expertise so I was looking more for a business that was willing to offer me an ideal solution to my home problem. Before I had the appointment, I told the company that I had a Wayne Dalton torque spring in my door. They confirmed that they work on that door. Had a person named Eric come out and service my garage door, and he told me that they do not service my door. read more

Eric from Phillips responded during the allotted time frame, called when he was on his way, arrived on time, was friendly and very knowledgeable about my garage doors. He fixed my sensor alignment issues, reprogrammed my car to the door, and reprogrammed my keypad. The garage door opener stopped opening the garage door. The motor was still running, though. We popped the cover open and saw the gear had worn out. Thought for sure we'd have to replace the whole unit. I emailed a number of companies through Yelp on a Sunday to see how much a replacement would cost. A few companies responded, but Phillips said they might be able to repair it too. We made an appointment for the next day. Mike showed up during the appointment window and looked at the outside of the unit. Actually recommended that he try to repair it instead of replacing it. He popped the cover open and confirmed that he had the part and finished the job in about 15 minutes. He also lubricated the door and springs for us. Fabulous customer service from Mike and he saved us about $400 by doing the easy repair instead of replacing the whole thing. I never would have known the difference if he had just went and replaced it. He even said our unit was really reliable and said we should get a surge suppressor to make sure it lasts even longer. Will definitely call Phillips again when our torsion springs break. read more

Our garage door spring broke on the Wednesday before thanksgiving. I called at 1:00 and left a message. The voice mail said nothing about being closed. I tried calling again around 3:30. Still no answer and nothing indicating they were closed. By Friday afternoon, there was still no returned phone call so I called another company and they came out within a couple of hours and fixed the garage door. Finally on Monday someone from Phillips returned my call. Too late. I understand being closed for a holiday, but at least update your answering machine if you're going to be closed for 5 days (or longer - could've been closed prior to Wednesday ‍) read more

I want to take this time to thank Phillips Garage Door. Our home owner warranty insurance had sent someone from another company that quoted us thousands to replace our garage door. As new homeowners and pretty new to this weren't sure what to do about our door. We told the guy we would shop around. So 4th of July with a broken door I asked for quotes on yelp and Susan Phillips was the first person to reply to me mind you it's 4th of July. Called and scheduled an appointment, they told me between 8am-12pm. Never got a courtesy call (apparently they don't do that unless you ask, lol) that someone was on their way. He arrived at our door at 8:38 and left at 8:45. I received a call from their office and when I called my husband he was a minute away. The repairman was called and he relayed that he would now be coming between 12-3pm as he had left and went to another appointment. My husband said he was gone a total of 10 minutes! I am upset but also a little relieved that I did not give this company my money. If you schedule with these people, make sure to ask for a courtesy phone call or you will be sitting around half your day, waiting for them. I have seen at least four of their staff, and all are professional and courteous. They do what it takes to get the job done right. They come back several times if the problems persist, and charge a fair rate. If they make a mistake, they own up to it and make it right. In summary.
