The lady told me they weren't sure if they would be able to fulfill my order by the date, I needed it, due to the overload of orders they had already. She said that they would try to squeeze me in and call me if they thought they would be able to fulfill it. I told the lady if not that's OK. I understand. I didn't think about all the graduation parties and stuff happening around the same time, people may be ordering meat for. I was ordering it for my dad's celebration of life. To my surprise, I received a call telling me that they were going to squeeze me in and fill my order. This is the only second time I have been to this place. If I could give them more than a five stars, I would give them 10. I highly recommend this place. The service has always been great and the people are very friendly. I know I will be using their service again. I'll probably even stop by my meat at the grocery store and just call there and order what I want for now on. When ever I am out visiting my mom and step-dad out at the family farm, I my stop in to get a few things, especially the prize winning locally grown and slaughtered meats. Talk about quality and fresh. I think it is the best meat in Ohio, for you carnivores out there. They also have fresh Amish style baked goods, and produce. This market has thrived through good times and hard times. Even with a Kroger super store that opened outside of Heath, or the local Walmart. They can not compare to TCs. I ordered half a hog from a local farmer that was going to drop the pig off to be butchered by Shirer Brothers Meats. I called Shirer Brothers Meats twice before the farmer dropped off the pig and once after he dropped off the pig to confirm how I wanted my half of the pig butchered. Each time I called Shirers I made sure to emphasize and have them confirm that I wanted my half of the pig left whole with the skin on and every person I talked to over the phone from Shirer confirmed that they could do that and that was how my meat was going to be butchered. When I picked up my meat from Shirer Brothers Meat my half of pig had been skinned completely. When I respectively asked why the pig was skinned and that I had ordered the pig with skin on, I was rudely told that they do not scold pigs and can't butcher pigs with the skin on. I understand not being able to do something and I am not upset because they couldn't leave the skin on. I do find it unacceptable the lack of communication in their business and the poor customer service I received everytime interacted with Shirer Brothers Meats. I would not trust this business handling my food and would avoid them at all cost.

Also, the women that were stocking the shelves were rude. They had boxes piled up on the floor in one aisle that you had to step on to continue down the aisle and you couldn't push your cart over them. I heard one shopper apologize to the stocker saying she hoped she wasn't in her way and the girl totally ignored her. They sure didn't make any effort to get out of your way either. I realize it's probably tricky stocking the shelves with customers trying to shop, but being rude is not acceptable.
