Great location in Zanesville with a beautiful patio and view of the river. Many great seafood options on the menu. I had the Walleye Reuben without the coleslaw. The bread and fish were excellent. The chips were fresh and homemade. Others at the table raved about the traditional Reuben and the shrimp. The server was friendly and helpful. The food arrived timely and fresh. Very pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Zanesville! We started on the patio with a lovely garden & view of the river, sadly it started to rain. Server was so sweet & helped us move inside. We got Tuna appetizer & it was fantastic. We both got the Muddy burger & thought it was cooked perfectly. We did not add the bbq sauce & it was still good! I got chips & he got fries & we shared. Driving through Ohio and picked this place since it was opened later, and to be fair when I walked in I could see they were short staffed this Thursday and we should have left, but we had planned to meet someone else who was driving 2 hours to meet for dinner. The staffed was very stressed, one more snappy and tbe other one very sweet. Could be a cute place, lots of Dirty tables. My friend loved her lobster ravioli. Walleye Ruben- I'm uncertain why this exists, I was curious, my curiosity is satisfied. The walleye does not make a good Ruben. Fries were good tho! Crawfish point- hubs liked his. This is a hidden gem, the wait staff was spot on and very friendly and on top of the service. The outside seating was great weather was nice and the river was perfect. The inside was well maintained. I ordered the fried walleye and it was perfectly crispy on the outside. Sitting right by the river made my meal feel very relaxing.

This is a neat place and I definitely want to come back when we can sit on the patio overlooking the river. The seasonal cocktails were superb; the old fashioned was not. The walleye reuben was huge and hubby loved it. The short rib sandwich was ok, but nothing special. Service was great, and the people were all lovely. Oh my gosh! this place was bomb! from the nice and informative service to the cozy feeling the inside interior brought you. But the internal spaces were cozy, and the staff was outstanding. The menu is filled with tempting options, Lobster Rolls, Steaks, Chops, Fish and Chips, Grilled Salmon, and more and more. It was lunchtime, so I had the Short Rib Philly. My lunch guest had the Signature Salad with Salmon. Ever have one of those lunches where the conversation stops, because the food takes over? The food took a little longer than anticipated as the place was crowded and several large orders were priority. The sweet potato fries are a worthy side for any entrée. My husband and I frequently eat at Muddy Misers and always have been very satisfied with food and service but tonight when eating dinner, there was a couple at the bar that were very loud and dropping the f bomb's left and right when there were families and elderly people having dinner. I am all for having a good time but this is family casual and not a dive bar. We go to find out the couple were the owners. Not a professional look to your customers or staff. Its pretty sad when the staff has to apologize for the owners of the establishment for being loud and drunk at their own establishment especially the wife. Not a good look! One piece of advice dont get drunk and loud at the the place you own take it to another bar. Probably wont go back for a while. Even the food wasnt that great tonight. It was most definitely you as the owners of the bar. The food was phenomenal. Craw tails were cooked perfectly not dried out like that could've been. Bourbon glazed sweet fries were absolutely a dessert hidden as a side. They were the best thing i've put in my mouth in weeks. The views of the river from the back patio were great and the ambiance after the sun set really made this a romantic dinner for two. Our server was the bartender, we sat at the top tables behind the bar. She made me a carmel apple cider mule, it's was delicious We had the chicken shrimp nachos which my husband devoured it and yes he was suppose to share. He got the crayfish po boy sandwich, it was delicious. He did share this. I had the buffalo grilled wrap with their side salad. The chicken was tender and the ranch dressing was really good. Fabulous little gem. Couldn't believe it's so off the beaten path. Great service, a warm gentle welcome. Full bar, full room for parties and the portions of delicious homemade food is delicious enough to write a review. The reuben was to die for. Very big sandwich with awesome fries. This has a genuine off road feel. In the city that gave us Zane Grey, famous western author, it is decorated accordingly. It is next to the Muskingum River which added a nice view. She had ribs which were better than average because they didn't overcook them and there was a hint of smoke which wasn't overbearing but added a nice piquancy. I had a ribeye sandwich which was well above average. Their menu had some odd fish offering that intrigued me but I chose safety. I am adding this to my list. Rachael took her job seriously. Maybe it was an off-day but I cannot, in good conscience, give this place a 4 or 5 start rating. PROS: my fish sandwich was excellent - a solid 4-star my fries were superb - a solid 5-star my wife's soup was excellent - a solid 4-star the salad dressing was excellent - a solid 4-star our server was very pleasant CONS: the greens in my wife's salad were "past their prime" - a solid 2-star service was slow and it took a long time for our food to come out (2-star) my wife requested pepper for her soup - never received (1-star) our server never followed up with the pepper they add a "credit card surcharge" to your bill - not noted on the menu We were seated on the patio with a nice view of the Muskingam River. We arrived around 1:45-2:00 and the patio was full most of the time we were here. Sorry - but considering the CONS listed above - this place rates a 3-star - very good but definitely not 4-star service or salads. read more

Had a business dinner of 9 people. Only speaking for myself. Ordered a steak, it was over cooked, baked potato side came late well after my steak was served. Waitress was somewhat rude, speaking over the table when someone was presenting or talking. One of my party loved their burger. It did look good. One in my party didn't like the fish.
