I was not notified that he would not be there to DJ my reception, instead a lady (whom I've never met) was there. She did not appear to know what the aforementioned schedule was, so my Matron of Honor had to keep going up to her telling her what the next song and event (bouquet toss, first dances, etc...) were. She played the music we had given to John but also played some songs that we had requested not be played. Overall, the reception was successful, mostly due to the food and guests, but I was disappointed in Music Unlimited as a DJ.

Just one town over you'll find Ken's Motel, in the quaint little town of Aurora. It's a perfectly acceptable budget motel. Dated it may be, but in this girls opinion "dated" is not a bad word. I like blast-from-the-past places like these & I wish they'd preserve more of them as well as they have this one. Friendly staff, clean & comfortable. There's even a full sized fridge. Close to Mc Donald's, Pizza & gas. We also saw a sign for Arby's on the other side of the interstate. Parking may be tricky if you're hauling a trailer in the snow, as we are, but it's doable. We just had to circle the property and come through one of the back entrances. Otherwise, you'll be able to park right in front of your room. It seems to me Aurora would be a nice stop for the family in the summer months, as well. In different circumstances, we would've loved to tour one of their Museums. The Science center looks like a good time for families & the Plainsman Museum is right up my alley w/a "journey through yesterday". We also noticed a community pool w/water slides driving into town. Snowbound or summer fun...Kens motel will do the trick if you're looking for an affordable option while you check out all that Aurora has to offer.
