I've given this place two tries and both times were a 2 or 3 at best. If you own or manage this place get with the program. The facility is ok and has potential but the service and quality of food is sub par. The first time I stopped in I ordered a drink and they said they don't do vodka drinks! What? Then what's with the Tito's and Absolute behind the bar? Today I ordered mozzarella bites and the marinara was straight out of the fridge. Tried out this restaurant while in town visiting Hastings College. It's a bar and restaurant and they have Keno. Overall, the food was good. The burger had Bleu cheese which was a little overpowering. But all in all, a nice little hangout and the prices and portions were good too. read more

This was a really hard one to rate because we had GREAT service, but only fair food. Our pizza was just so-so, which was disappointing. Drinks were fine, though nothing special. I liked the environment and openness of the room along with lots of TVs! I think it would help if they had ESPN+ to get more games, since they couldn't get one of the games I needed. They were out of a lot of food items that we requested and didn't have a beer menu at the table. The food was alright and my burger was good. read more

We've lived in Hastings for about 14 years now and Rivals popped up. It's been a great place to eat and has really improved. We had a wonderful server who helped the kids order to build their confidence and got us our food quickly. It was very good. I had the Garlic Parm wings with rings. The waitress hook up the table with a bucket of ranch which we all should appreciate. The only knock was the space, seems like they could have opened the other room and the drinks didn't get refilled towards the end of our meal. We had a good time and good food and we will return sometime. read more

Went here for the first time in mid February 22'. I had a New York strip and an order of boneless Buffalo winks to go. Overall, very impressed for the price. Probably worth skipping the iceberg salad. Iceberg is for burgers and sandwiches, you make a whole salad out of it! The staff was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of. read more

The food was good, but the waitress was horrible!!! My son spilled his drink across the table, and got on floor. I had to get a towel from the bar to try and wipe it up, the very handsome and kind bartender asked if I needed help. I thought I could get it by myself, but had to tell him we needed help after all. Waitress was not happy. I asked if she could bring a mop to clean the floor. All I was told is I will. She didn't while we were there, so I guess it was okay if I slipped and fell (it was at my feet). Blatant disrespectfulness for us. I had to get up and get out carry out boxes. Just a total flop!!! It ain't the same no more. I ordered boneless wings and the things were so cold They reminded me of my ex. On top of that the bbq and sweet chili wings had no sauce. I thought I ordered dry rub with how much sauce was on there (like none). In fact the boneless wings were basically chicken poppers. I'll give a point for good music, but dang my stomach is sad and now I'm gonna bake some cookies, fight my demons, and watch The Mandalorian. Peace out read more

I have to say... my experience was as expected as I reviewed the posts. Only went to restaurant because it was super close to my hotel. Walked in.. A Lot of emptily tables for 7pm. No one at the door to greet customers. Found an empty table in bar area. Probably sat for 10 min before being greeted. Ordered a premium. Bottle beer. Asked for a water. 5 min later. Got beer. No water or cold glass. Asked again. Got cold glass but no water. Still no menu. Ordered food. Service okay. Ordered a second beer. Waited 10 min. Had to ask a second time for a cold glass. Server seemed put out and VERY UNFRIENDLY. RIVALS BAR. NO WORRIES. YOU HAVE NO RIVALS BECAUSE MOST BAR ABD GRILLS WONT PLAY ON YOUR SUB PAR LEVEL. The other negative reviews are VERY ACCURATE. Waited too long for food. The restaurant was packed and there was no social distancing at all. Employees weren't wearing masks.

Well here I find myself at this establishment a few years later. I figured, what the hell! Let's give it a 9th chance. Much to my prediction, this place had stayed completely lateral. Frozen bulk food dropped in a deep fryer, 4 or 5 waitresses & 2 bartenders all very very busy. Busy sending & reading text messages on their phones, checking Facebook (someone should tell the little Princesses to check Yelp) talking to each other etc. Every once in a while, if you stature at your server for a while, they eventually make eye contact, but then turn away in a bashful manner. The food was absolutely horrible. I'll be back in a couple more years as my memory fades. read more

I came in today for lunch, and can I just tell you how awesome Katie is!? I've never eaten here before, so I asked for her recommendation. I ended up getting the bacon ranch wrap and a Pear Woodchuck Hard Cider. There wasn't too much ranch, it came super quick, and I'm now STUFFED. I love going to rivals mostly during football season. I would go all the time with a group after our home football games and we would go there again to watch the pro games on their TV's. Their wings are what I would usually go with and if I didn't get that it would be the chicken strips, both of which I love!! Their burgers are also popular and very tasty! They have OK service, I have only had one bad server who I think they got rid of, but other than that, they split your check no problem. I hate to give bad reviews, but this place is truly terrible. Our poor waitress was so kind and genuinely felt awful about our experience. We waited well over an hour for two cold sandwiches....then they weren't even what we ordered. She didn't charge us for one of the sandwiches, but her manager didn't seem to care at all about the wellbeing of the waitresses or the guests experience. He walked out, shrugged and discounted the food...then back to the kitchen. The owners would be prudent to improve on the management situation. read more
