I'm a catastrophically disable U.S. Marine. I'm a glaucoma patient at St. Luke's Clearwater. I…read morehave an issue that I need to address. Over one week , I have called . I cannot get through to anybody except front desk. I ask to speak to a supervisor. The front desk, Nancy & Crystal &. Others refuse to pu t me through to anyone. There aren't any other numbers that St. Luke's has that I could call and there aren't any emails that I could find to send an email. I find it very troubling that a world renowned Eye Center would disregard , ignore and invalidate a patient's concerns .. To me , this is bad business practice, ignoring a patient and not even giving that patient a chance to air his grievance is very unethical. Disrespecting anyone by ignoring them is to invalidate them. What you're saying is "you don't matter " . This is the worst type of shame that you can and worst action that you can do to someone .. I can't understand the reason that I am being treated like this . until I can find a way to get to somebody besides the front desk and find somebody at St Lukes , somebody who cares to talk to me . I'll have to rely on social media. Thank you so much. My phone number is 727-308-8144.. all I wanted to do is make an appointment a return appointment for six months. I sat at the front desk in a wheelchair in a lot of pain as I was already at St. Luke's for two hours. My back was hurting very bad. I have a neuromuscular spinal disease . I have lumbar and cervical issues and the pain is incredible every day, .after sitting two hours and intentionally being put through the stress of sitting another half hour while being ignored, I finally left without making an employment .. not at any time , during the time I was sitting there in the front desk did , the staff acknowledge me or say , will be right with you or ask me what could we do? They looked right at me and there were two people there , including the person who is supervisor of the Clearwater location . They ignored me. I attempted to get their attention by saying, excuse me, excuse me, and they ignored me . Finally I got one of the ophthalmologist staff to push me in my wheelchair out to my jeep , because I couldn't sit .in the pain anymo

I immediately called to explain the situation and requested a refund or even the option to use the deposit toward another service, such as Botox. Unfortunately, I was told no to both. I completely understand that businesses need to protect their time, but keeping a full $500 deposit after only two days -- before any services were rendered or time was spent preparing -- feels extremely unfair and unethical. Life happens, and good businesses show understanding and flexibility when unforeseen situations arise. I'm disappointed that this office chose to prioritize policy over compassion.
