Went on a tour with Joe & Jo and had the best time! It was my moms first time in Philly & she wanted a comprehensive tour of center city & got exactly that!. Joe was super knowledgeable about the history of the city & the ride was really lovely. I think he said the ride was 8-10 miles & if you're comfortable on a bike it's a nice easy ride. Included some photos of some of the locations we stopped at for more in depth history!

I contacted Philly Bike tour on our recent visit to the city. It is off season, but they agreed to create a custom tour for us. Great communication from the owner about what we wanted to see and their weather policy (as snow was predicted). Rebecca did a fantastic job of letting us customize the tour. She had great suggestions for spots to stop along the way (so I could visit some fantastic places I haven't been to as well as a few tourist spots for my friends that hadn't visited Philly before). She accommodated our riders (from less experienced to experienced) and made sure we were safe the few times we rode through traffic). She also knew the area well and gave us some history about the city. I would highly recommend and we will be back again (maybe this time for the bike and beer tour)! I agree- great way to see the city!

Our guided bike tour through Philadelphia with the Philly Bike Tour Co. was one of the best, if not the best tour we have ever been on. It was safe, educational, and really, really fun. Out tour guide, Joe, had an encyclopedic knowledge of Philly history and Philly neighborhoods, and he was able to share this knowledge in an interesting and easily consumable manner. (It did not hurt that he is an awesome guy with a great sense of humor and humanity.) In addition, he structured the ride so that it was not physically taxing, and yet we somehow covered a huge chunk of the City. Some of the highlights were the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Pump House area, the Schuylkill River Bike Trail, Rittenhouse Square, Penn Landing, Logan Square, and Independence Hall. To this day, my wife and I agree that if we get to Philly again, we would do this tour all over just because it was so much fun. (It is worth noting that we did a walking tour of the City the prior day, and at no point did we feel that the dour was too repetitive to what we had learned about the City the day before. If you have any interest in the City of Brotherly Love, do not leave Philly without availing yourself of this tour!!!!

We enjoyed this tour very much. We got every bit of the 3 hour tour we reserved. First off, the service was excellent. Our guide was very friendly, and helpful. He made sure we all had water, properly fitted helmets, and we were all happy with our bikes before we took off. During the tour, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. He made sure he shared with us as much education as he could, and he gave us plenty of time to take pictures and quickly explore areas we stopped at. He was very kind. Also, during the rides, while in the City, he was extremely cautious with traffic, made sure no one was left behind, and we were always safe on the road. Even after the tour, he offered recommendations on where to get lunch, and gave us a free water bottle. Not much else you could want on a tour. The tour was affordable, the service was kind, the trip as saw and packed with plenty of stops and education on the beautiful city of Philadelphia.

My sister has visited several times and I wanted to do something new and different. We did the Outdoor Art Tour and it was great

I called to make sure they were open and could help, and someone answered the phone right away and was very kind and helpful. I walked my bike to the shop, and when I entered, I was greeted warmly and professionally. I disclosed that I really needed to ride my bike, and they understood and told me that they would try to salvage my ride. Thirty minutes later, my bike was ready, and they were once again very kind and helpful with the checkout process. And, they did in fact salvage my ride, for which I am so grateful. During the checkout process, another person with a flat came in. The staff was warm and professional toward this person. I heard someone mention a "community repair." I did not know what that was, but later, I looked up their website and learned more about the community repair fund as well as the ethos and history of the shop. What I read confirmed that these are cool humans doing cool things and supporting their community. I do not live in Fairmount, but because of my experience yesterday, I would definitely consider taking my bike there again. To the humans of Fairmount Bicycle, thank you so much! And, Happy Pride!

Our tour guides were fun and very personable. The group had a great time and we finished at the same place we started, which just happens to be Big Ass Slices Bar and Grill so a friend and I grabbed a slice and a drink. I do wish that there were drinks or snacks provided on the vehicle. It would have made it more personal and enjoyable. Myself and 4 gfs signed up for the old city pub crawl on Friday May, 26 at 6:15 and we had the bike completely to ourselves. The tour we picked started off at Silence Dogood's Tavern, where we got our stickers, pizza from Big Ass Pizza and a round. That pizza was awesome and so were the pizza tots! Our tour guides (Jess and Dominic I believe) were awesome and we'd definitely do this again. Tip definitely buy the individual tickets ! Not worth it to pay for the whole bike at $375. We all bought the individual for $31 each with 5 of us and we still had the bike to ourselves. Lucky break I guess.

And that seemed among the "best things" to us. So we wanted to post a heads up to others via Yelp about this tour for others who might enjoy it. There are but twelve covered bridges remaining of the original three dozen originally built in Buck's' County Pennsylvania. Thanks to the hard work of some dedicated folks, the twelve that remain are maintained for all of us to enjoy. This driving (or biking) tour will take you to all of them - or some if you prefer not to do the entire tour. For our two bits, this is a great way to spend a day, including a stop at Bowman's Hill Tower to take in the views and the history of that site (it's on the tour path so you're missing out if you don't stop here) and Bowman' Wildlife Preserve. In particular on a beautiful fall day as we did last week. (Both the Tower and Preserve are in New Hope.) The Wildlife Preserve has a picnic area outside the gates so taking along a picnic lunch is a great idea. And inside the gates, there are bathrooms at the visitor center...hooray. See the website posted at the of the page for more info on each of the bridges and the driving map. Not only did they do a great job tuning up the bike, but they freaking detailed it. It practically shined when I loaded it on my bike carrier. They were very careful to adhere to the Covid19 safety protocols, so I felt comfortable entering the shop. They didn't try to up-sell me on anything. Best of all, they took their time and gave me lots of training tips to help my transition to a recumbent from a traditional diamond frame bike. Exceptional customer service! I will continue to bring my bike to them for service, despite the distance, and this will be the first shop I visit when I'm ready for my next recumbent bike or trike. For those of you who are starting to feel that the pain (back, shoulder, neck, butt, feet) of riding a traditional diamond frame bike has started to suck the joy out of riding, I strongly encourage you to try a recumbent bike or trike. WOW! What a difference! No pain, all fun. And yea, it still feels like you're flying, just like those early bike rides you did as a kid. I'm sure the nice folks at Jersey Bents will help put the joy back in your ride too.

He gave us two cruisers that had the nice padded butt seats, which were great for long term riding. Yes this place is kind hard to find because it is hidden under a large building and in the basement and yes the owner is a bit quirky and opinionated, however he came across like an average Philly guy to me. He loses one star for the pain in the ass it is to get the bikes out of his little door-way and up the narrow staircase to the street. The same one star lost is also for the low bridge in the store, I had to duck to make sure I did not hit my head.
