The service is always great here. The pretzels are amazing. If you have a sweet tooth, try the cinnamon dip.

We ordered a dozen for the co-workers and 8 doughnuts for ourselves! Those 8 were as follows - Coffee Roll Cherry Bomb Glazed Caramel Delight Pumpkin Cinnamon Chocolate Glazed Boston Cream Chocolate Chocolate Glazed They were all good, however a few excelled. My partner fell in love with the Boston Cream...it epitomized the Yum Yum slogan "Donuts are the heart of our business and our hearts go into making them". The chocolate frosting on top caught her attention, but it was the creamy custard filling that put her into a doughnut bliss. Her next favorite was, ironically, the classic, plain Glazed doughnut! I also tasted the fluffy, yeast doughnut with a simple sweet glaze. It was wonderful. Let's take a quick departure from yeast to cake - the Cinnamon Pumpkin and Chocolate-Chocolate Glazed doughnuts. I like pumpkin pie and this doughnut started the fall season for me. The spices - most likely nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves - made this cinnamon-sugar coated doughnut delicious. I'm all about chocolate and the Chocolate-Chocolate Glazed doughnut met all my expectations. Starting with that 'chocolate frosting', combined with the taste and texture of the fluffy but firm cake - it was perfect. The Coffee Roll was somewhat unique in that it had the ideal amount of cinnamon and sugar for a 'coffee roll'. My partner thought it should be 'sweeter', like a sticky bun...no this is different. The hand rolled, sweet dough pastry with its soft texture, honey glaze and a light vanilla icing made it an excellent choice! The Cherry Bomb was really number 3 on my partner's list - she loves cherries and the doughnut was stuffed with a thick, sweet and chunky chopped cherry filling. Let's not forget it was topped with a maraschino cherry which she made sure to eat (with her first bite). I think there may be one or two more doughnuts on the list but I think you're probably done reading my doughy doughnut descriptions for now!! You'll have to stop by the Yum Yum and try a few doughnuts for yourself! It's most certainly worth the trip!

They have the best raisin bread in the entire world. They have the best onion rolls, and cranberry rolls available anywhere I know of. The onion roll goes great with a simple egg, or fresh turkey. While the cranberry roll, combine cream cheese, a bit of sugar and fresh butter, stir till smooth and put on a warm roll. Great way to start your morning with a cup of coffee. The chocolate croissants are perfectly made. Warm them up. The whole grain loaf is like nothing you've ever tasted. It is amazing. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. It's like going into one of the best bakers you've ever gone to. Not for desserts. For baked goods. And they have a very good deli. And the best staff ever!

The left wall was full of wooden racks loaded with beautiful loaves of bread. They were large and extremely tempting. As I was there 30 minutes before closing, they didn't have a full panoply of their creations, but still enough to satisfy me. One of the women behind the counters attended to me, advising what was still available. She first mentioned a half load of sliced rye, which I immediately said, "yes," to. The aroma was strong and I knew I would love it toasted with butter and jam. She next suggested their dinner rolls, of which she bagged a dozen mixed grains, but only charged me for six. She knew what she wanted to sell while fresh, and which would have longer shelf life until the next day. I also grabbed a few large peanut butter cookies to sample later with coffee. Hearth Baker had no pastry, so I wasn't distracted by cakes, pies or other sweet possibilities. I didn't see those sandwiches mentioned by others, but anything stuffed between their bread/rolls would have to be great. What I did buy was excellent. The rye had a slightly sweet, yet grainy savoriness that was delicious, both fresh and toasted. Perfect for sandwiches or accompanying soup. The rolls were also quite good, with semolina and other light/dark flours to modify their flavors. Also terrific just sliced and buttered and ripped apart by my incisors. Those peanut butter cookies were also awesome. A little crisp on the edges, yet chewy toward the middle. Plenty of PB taste. The Hearth Baker would be a great place to learn the artisan craft of baking breads.

As soon as I walked through the doors at Amici, the ambiance made me feel transported back to those wonderful places I remember from so long ago. It was a feeling of comfort, familiarity, and cravings for all the deliciousness housed within. The bread counter on the left was the first stop where I picked up a marble rye and some hoagie rolls. The staff were extremely friendly with suggestions and slicing up the loaf we got. Then it was on pick up two small tomato pies, which are a box of tasty goodness. Had to grab a couple of the biggest pickles I've ever seen. And we couldn't get out of the door without grabbing a small selection of cookies. Sadly I didn't get a chance to taste any of their sandwiches but the menu had my mouth watering. They offer a good selection of pastas, sauces, and other products both sweet or savory. All in all, you cannot go wrong making Amici a regular stop of your own.

It's really a rather small shop with one side being the bakery and the other the deli. 10/10 their cannolis. It's hard to find any bakery that stuffs them fresh but they do! I like that that carry items from other bigger Italian markets like Corropolese and Talluto's. This time around I ordered some sandwiches to go and my dad was super impressed with the Italian hoagie I ordered for him. All the sandwiches come with pickles. You do have to pay extra for hot peppers. The staff is nice and the place is always clean, I'd be interested to try more of their sandwiches as they had a pretty decent menu. Definitely a nice spot in the middle of a Lansdale strip mall.
