UPDATING TO FIVE STARS because Brett and Quintan came today and were AWESOME. They not only fixed…read morethe issues I originally posted with a 3* review, but also revisited what we had discussed back in March - fixed it, and found something new going on that we will fix soon. VERY happy now. Prior review: We hired Capitol Duct because they were the only company we called that used a scope (camera) to examine the ducts before cleaning. We should have gotten the ducts cleaned before installing an in-duct booster fan, but we didn't think of it, so we needed the cleaners to be extra careful with their rotating brushes in that area. They came out 3-2-26. [I deleted the rest of my review, but the photos can' be deleted - they show dirt that showed up on our filter 2 months later. Capitol Duct came out again right away and took care of everything. NOTE to others - if something goes wrong, call them before posting a bad review.]

I hired Capitol Duct Cleaning to clean a dryer vent in April 2025. Fourteen months later, when the…read moredryer started malfunctioning, an appliance repair technician found the cause: a cleaning brush lodged in the duct. I don't know how or when the brush ended up there -- but I do know that a thorough duct cleaning should have found and removed it, and Capitol's did not. When I called to raise this, they denied any responsibility and offered excuses for why their air-hose method wouldn't have caught it -- while refusing to remove it now except as a new, separately paid job. Whatever the brush's origin, their original service demonstrably failed to clear the duct. I agreed to pay again anyway, just to get it resolved. I was told a manager would call me first to discuss it. No one called. I waited for the scheduled technician instead; no one showed. When I followed up, I learned the office had canceled the appointment without telling me. I rescheduled a third time, and to avoid any confusion, I emailed a photo of the brush along with the access details (about 10 feet in, no crawlspace) and asked them to confirm they could do the job at the agreed price. The email went unanswered. When I called, I was assured the office had seen it, reviewed the photo, and confirmed the job and price. Two weeks later, the technicians arrived -- 90 minutes early, before I was ready -- with no idea they were there to remove a stuck brush. After using about 15 minutes of my time, they concluded they couldn't remove it after all. I told them to leave and hired someone else. Across three separate appointments and every point of contact -- the initial cleaning a year ago, the manager callback, the scheduled visit, the confirmed job -- Capitol Duct Cleaning did not follow through on a single commitment it made. I won't use them again.

Our house was built in 2005 and we haven't had the ductwork cleaned. We were concerned with the…read morefrequency we were having to change filters in the furnace and it seemed that our seasonal allergies were getting worse. We called our builder and friends at Joe Gates Construction and asked for a recommendation. Judy said call Jerry's. We got on their calendar and we're amazed at how professional everyone was from scheduling to follow up to reminders. And, they arrived on the day scheduled at the time scheduled. While this should not be extraordinary for a service contractor it is. The work was done and they were careful around the furniture and fixtures, they were very thorough. We had them clean the dryer vent too which should reduce drying times and energy costs in addition to reducing the fire hazard of lint buildup! We highly recommend Jerry's and we highly recommend cleaning your ductwork.

They appear to not care to respond to any questions about their service. I received a quick…read moreresponse when I initially inquired. I'm assuming that it was an auto response about the service and the power of the vacuum being able to suck your shirt off. However, when I asked a few follow-up questions about if they use any form of mechanical disruption to loosen the caked on dust, if they check airways with video monitoring, and if they are National Air Duct Cleaners Association certified I've heard absolutely nothing back from them. It has been 2 weeks.
