I would personally say that if you put in the work, then what you get out of this school is worth it. We get ample scanning time in the lab which I personally believe is the most important part of this entire program. You can be extremely book smart, and not be good at scanning. It takes practice, practice, practice. I work in a hospital setting as a CNA and most of our Sonographers went to west coast ultrasound institute, and they are amazing sonographers with registries. Our school has changed quite a bit since some of these reviews. It is actually frustrating to me reading some of these. Our program now offers and AAS degree, with 6 months of extern instead of 3 which is a huge change for the better. We are now able to sit for the ARRT sonography exam right when we graduate, which allows us to then sit for ARDMS or for CCI. There is no more working full time for a year before sitting for the registries.That was the main issue with this school just a year ago. We offer great extern sites, but our extern coordinator is picky about site placement. If you are lazy, get bad grades, are absent or tardy often, you probably will not get placed in a site that is expecting a good student that is ready and willing to learn. You are still going to get a site, but it may not be the site you want. Unfortunately this is a for profit school, not run by the government and with that there will be hiccups and things are not perfect. Which is why I did not give a full 5 stars. However overall, if you are a good student, study the material, read the books, and scan as much as possible this program is worth not waiting 10 years to get a spot in gateway. Bottom line I would absolutely recommend this school, if you are willing to work hard, study harder, and put in your absolute best. If you are looking for an easy ride to make good money then I wouldn't recommend a career in sonography. This is a tough career path not for the lazy or weak minded.

I then had lost my step mom and failed vascular lecture 2x. My mistake . I was dropped from the school , and was told i had to pay back my financial aid then can reapply for reentry . Well i was able to pay over $1,000 back and reapplied and wrote a letter i then got a call it was discussed at the monthly meeting and they decided to not let me back in . This place doesn't care about people trying to better their future they care about money only . I've been trying to appeal the decision for a year with no response from the school . However, I've literally had an instructor tell me to my face to figure things out on my own. Why am I paying for this certification if I'm not going to be taught something? Classes sometimes go without instructors for the full 10 week period. This school is a joke.

I was told the class was exactly what they wanted upon review. I was to be paid for the development of the class once it was taught to staff. The scheduled dates for training were postponed numerous times by security staff before I reached out to administration. It was then I was told that my contact with security had no authorization to request my services and administration had no knowledge of the request, despite having written evidence from administration approving the class. The class I developed on their behalf is now in their hands and they refuse to pay the agreed amount. If I were a student looking for reputable education I would look elsewhere. As a vendor, I'd get some signatures from the school director before proceeding, and even then I would question their ethics and intention to pay agreed amounts.

She was basically trying to deny a site change because Kelsey was confident I "already completed 50% of my hours", if she would have just checked my timesheet it clearly stated I was no where near 50% done... After completing my hours at my externship site I contacted career services to ask if there was any paperwork I needed to fill out or pick up from the school, Arianna told me no I just need to drop off my evaluation form. I drive 40 minutes with my intent to just drop it off, come to find out I need to fill out a graduation packet before I can turn in my evaluation paper... On top of that I was expected to run around the school collecting signatures from the different offices, I was there early enough for majority of them to not even be in the building yet, so I went home. I get a phone call later that day saying they really need the evaluation paper so I need to go back... After another 40 minute drive I was finally able to collect all the signatures I needed and all I needed was to pay for my cap and gown then I could finally leave this place in the dust... I had to come back the next day because they only accept cash... Before I even drove to the school I called ahead to make sure Lisa was present on campus and she would still be there by the time I showed up. I show up and miss girl is on lunch... now they're just playing games with me at this point. They send me up to career services again wanting to collect my payment but not a single person has access to the cap and gowns. "it says in the email to come after 3pm". Unless it's typed with invisible letters do enlighten me... I beg of you not to attend this school, do not give them any amount of your money!!

It is a fairly new campus and has a lot of state of the art equipment so the kids can see what the field will look like. We toured the entire campus a few times and everything is always kept up and appears to be spotless each time we come. I really like the campus is a secure one that there is no one gaining access without proper authorization. The teachers appear to truly enjoy their jobs and are eager to teach their future colleagues.
